I took Fabi's 6pm cycling class on Monday and it was extremely *lively*! The regular cyclists all knew each other and were excited to welcome us newcomers. We rode out to some upbeat songs and Fabi was motivating us to push ourselves. She introduced herself to me as soon as I came in. She made sure my bike was set up properly and that I was comfortable and ready to ride. I loved this class! I'm thinking of becoming a Monday evening regular too! I've been coming to this gym for over a year. After my first complimentary session with Gwendolyn, I felt more confident to commit to the monthly training sessions. With Gwendolyn's knowledge, experience, and continued guidance, I reached my goals. I've continued my training and have entered a new phase thanks to her. I've been coming to this gym for years, and it has gone so downhill. No one racks their weights or wipes down machines, and why would they when personal trainers don't either.. Some of the staff are super pleasant, but others don't even acknowledge you when you walk in. Overall very disappointed in the conditions here and will be making a switch. read more

I've been going to YouFit in Weston for a few months now and honestly it's just okay. Not terrible but not great either. It gets the job done if all you need is a basic gym to get in and get out. The equipment is decent but some of the machines are either outdated or just always seem to need maintenance. A few of the treadmills wobble and the cable machines are hit or miss depending on the day. The gym is usually pretty clean which I give them credit for and the front desk staff is friendly enough but not super engaged. It kind of feels like they're just going through the motions most of the time. One of my biggest complaints is how crowded it gets during peak hours. There's not a lot of space to move around and people just camp out on machines. If you're trying to get a full workout in during rush time good luck. The music can be weirdly loud or just really random and sometimes it's tough to focus. I also noticed the AC doesn't always keep up especially during the afternoons which makes the place feel kind of stuffy. On the plus side the membership is cheap and they don't pressure you too hard with upsells like some of the bigger chains. If you just need a budget-friendly gym and you're not too picky this place works but if you're serious about lifting or want a better overall atmosphere there are better options around. read more

The gym itself has been ok. My biggest issue as a gym is too many young people and no Sauna. The reason for the 1 star review is I just hate being ripped off with lawyer fine print bullshit. I canceled today as I use another gym for a number of reasons. They tell me I have to wait ten days per agreement and that my payment gets triggered. Oh so sorry and some stupid 10 cancellation fee. I went to gym. They made me call a number and I feel lied to, manipulated and ripped off for $30. I know these reviews cost a company more than 30. when you try to cancel your membership you CANT do it at the location. they give you a number to a call center in India who then inform you that the club has 30 days to cancel your membership and can charge you an ADDITIONAL month after you've already canceled your membership . so scammy. I would never sign them again THEN when you call the number the "software is down " and they can't even process your cancellation at the time of the cal. ridiculous from start to finish. My initial review would have been 5 stars across the board.... however.... i am very disappointed so here's my story: I signed my daughter up. She's 14. The girl who signed us up: Priscilla: Amazing! Knowledgeable & super sweet. Some front desk staff members including Zania were nice, helpful, always smiling & went above & beyond. She even came around from the desk to go over an exercise machine with my daughter! Lee & Mike as personal trainers are fantastic. Mike gave an initial consultation and Lee happened to be close by to give some work out tips & guidance which my daughter greatly appreciated! I've been taking her daily. We go in, I don't have a membership so I do my tablet work in the corner while she works out. She cleans the machines before & after use as to be compliant with their rules.... Well at this particular check in day I went to pay a compliment on one of the staff members & I met Jay the manager. Instead of letting me gloat about the excellent staff somehow we ended up in a different direction. He asked my daughters age. I said 14. He said I would have to take out a membership OR she couldn't work out. He stated it was a liability. What?! Sadly I said I would have to cancel then. Unfortunately at this time I can't have two memberships so I opted for the kid to be able to work out over me. He said I would have to call some number to do that & a cancellation fee of $10.00 I said he needed to do that. Apparently he cancelled the membership & at the checkout said she has until the end of the month to still work out. My daughter said "isn't that a liability"? Not wanting to cause drama (people were walking in to check in, I was trying to stay quiet) so I asked him to come around the corner to the table..... he then said "he thought I wanted to work out", so that's why she couldn't work out unless i had a membership....What?! I'm in nursing scrubs, flip flops & a work computer, no work out bag, no water & at NO point did I ever state I wanted to work out. My kid said he changed his story a few times. Was he having a bad day? No clue! Honestly at this point not to sound rude but I've told my story to a very sweet girl at the pines location twice! Monica at corporate & now waiting Paul Roberts to call me back. Guess who's kid isn't getting to work out? Mine. Guess who's membership was never canceled & still being charged? Mine! I come here 4-6 times a week. They have your basic gym equipment and are doing things to improve BUT they have one issue they need to address immediately - car break ins!! I went for my typical gym sesh and come out to see my car has been broken into. The glass is completely shattered (luckily nothing got taken). Apparently this is a frequent issue at this gym according to the staff and because of the amount of signage posted and occasional police camera tower placement in their parking lot. The lack of cameras operated by the business (according to them they have 2-3 "working cameras) and high amount of tree coverage, proves that Youfit doesn't bother fixing this HUGE and constant issue for their customers. In any case, I hate to give one star to a business I visit frequently, but the lack of this business trying to resolve this issue so that their customers feel safe and comfortable when visiting is such a deal breaker! The worst experience I have ever had with a business. The people running this facility are liars and were completely taking advantage of people throughout this pandemic. Laz, the regional director, has been avoiding my calls since day 1 about a balance due regarding services that were NEVER provided. What they're doing is unethical and intolerable. This place is a SCAM. I've previously cancelled my membership twice since 2013 and they continued charging me, after several calls to corporate they made it right. Stupidly, I gave them a third chance. Once the Covid-19 closures happened, they continued charging my account. I called this gym and they told me they were only turning off memberships if people called to complain because they "needed to pay their bills". How is that my problem? Fast forward to now, I went in June 19th to cancel my membership because gyms had reopened but I didn't feel comfortable going. The girl at the counter suggested that I do a 3 month freeze, I asked if they charged during the 3 months, to which she replied "no, it's free", so I agreed to it. I have just been charged an annual fee of $50+ as well as my monthly fee of $23. I called the gym and she said there was no record of me freezing because I hadn't signed a paper. I explained to her that a paper was never given to me, otherwise I would've signed it. Why else would I go in!?!?! Just to have a conversation with the girl at the front desk and leave???? She told me to go in and fill out the paperwork for cancelling so they don't continue to charge me. Why should I have to keep going in and exposing myself to the public when they couldn't even get it right the first time? They obviously do whatever they can to get away with stealing peoples money. I'm usually here every night so it is rather sad that it's been a year since the broken treadmills have been repaired. This creates a congested group of people waiting for their turn to use the working ones. Another problem has been the hidden fees my gym buddy was subjected to after he had cancelled months before for the personal trainer he was using . Even though they had apologized , it took my friend calling his bank to get his money back. My daughter signed up for this gym to get out and get in shape. Unfortunately the times she goes the gym is packed and she feels uncomfortable asking adults to leave the machines... I went in to cancel the membership and the young man at the front desk told me they were transiting into a new system of canceling and that they were no longer able to do it inhouse so I had to come back and speak with a manager. I came back and asked for a manager and they were in meetings. I came back a third time and spoke with a manager and she told me that they do not cancel memberships and that I must do it over the phone. My daughter has not been in the gym in 4 months after an altercation with an older man when she asked to use the bike he was just sitting on. So I called to cancel. Even though I explained the situation, called to speak with the GM who NEVER called me back, and had been trying to cancel for 3 weeks they STILL did not honor this and charged us for another month. I really wish I could give this gym more as it is so close to my work and for the most part it has been ok. Have to take some things into consideration for this price point. It is not the fancy Weston Midtown Athletic Club where staff will wipe the sweat off your forehead as you work out. It is not the place for the Venezuelan moms to socialize pretending to be busy between car lines. Yes their cancellation policy can be difficult if you are not on top of them. But in all honesty you get what you pay for and YouFit is a budget gym. My big complaint is that many cardio machines go weeks and weeks broken. Last week, I counted 15 machines that had one issue or another. For example, the third elliptical from the stair machines has not had operational resistance for two months now. I recommend getting membership online as it was a hassle getting it there. Also, it's $10 IF you are only planning to go to the same youfit location which SUCKS. That is not advertised and I didn't find this out until I was sitting and registering. Did not like that at all as I travel a lot. This gym ask for a debit card even though you provide them with a credit card for the monthly payments. They say that they need a debit card as a back up?. Not a good thing for the customers if someone hacks their system, your bank information and your money in the checking account can get stolen. Is that even legal for a gym to ask for a debit card if you can pay with a credit card instead? They don't do the proper maintenance to the equipment, half of the treadmills are broken and the rest of the equipment is old. Today I went to Youfit to join. I did my research and I knew that I wanted to get the 10 a month plan but also wanted to know if I can up grade at anytime. 1/9/20 at 12 Noon I entered the premises and was greeted by a young man at the counter. I explained to him that I was interested in the $10 a month plan that ended to day according to all the T.V advertisement. He could not find that plan in him computer. He stated that he has a $12.99 Plan. I asked him what happened to the $10 plan that is advertised on t.v and on line. He than asked his colleague, a short dark haired bratty unprofessional girl. She said that the current plans are 12.99 and up. I asked about the other plan I saw. I said then maybe I should just fill out the membership online. She all of a sudden found what I was referring to but with such attitude. She began to explain the differences with disrespect and contempt. Even if the customer is wrong or mistaken there is a professional ways in which to communicate. She has no communication customer service skills. I am very happy with this club and the selection of workout machines. Staff is very kind, helpful, and very friendly. I had a question on how a particular machine worked and the staff was more than happy to show me how to use it. I'm glad they didn't tell me to go hire a Personal Trainer like LA Fitness. The only thing missing is a sauna but, an overall good gym and great price. The staff is always cleaning when I am there in the evening. Everyone in the gym is cool as well. They sent a form response that they can only cancel if you send a letter to their corporate office (in 2020????). Sent a letter and they continued to charge me. Finally got a cancellation this month after sending a second email requesting it (so they CAN cancel by email), but they've conveniently lost my documentation and refuse to give me a refund. When I joined in 2019 I had a very caring personal trainer, machines worked properly and management seemed nicer. Since then Machines have declined. Furthermore I recently had a serious injury that required spinal surgery. In June I hired a personal trainer, which I absolutely loved and put my complete trust in. 1st or 2nd session he had me do a 65lb deadlift which I thought was too much but did anyway because that is why I hired him (he's supposed to know more than me). By the 2nd lift something in my back snapped like a glow stick. I could barely drive home and my husband had to help me out of the car when I got there. I had to work from home next day because I could not move. When I brought it up to my trainer he said it was normal and I was sore. I even texted him let's not do that for a while because I felt I really got hurt. I complained a lot about my back in several sessions, and he seemed genuinely concerned and willing to help me strengthen my back and at some point I thought it was getting stronger so I continued. By the 4th week he asked me to do 45lbs, in the 3rd lift my back was done, I should have stopped, but once again I trusted my trainer and thought it was all part of the process. He was concerned so he had me us a kettle bell. 3 of those and I saw stars... literally . I made him aware and he offered some advice to release some pressure from the pain. Somehow I walked out and drove home because by the time I made it home the pain was so excruciating I couldn't eat I was so nauseous. Next day I could not walk, sit or stand. It was a weekend so I stayed immobile hoping it was like the 1st time and I would be better again. Going to the bathroom was so excruciating I would cry and my body would shake from the pain so By Monday I was in the emergency room. 11hrs later it was determined I had a herniated disc and needed surgery. I texted my trainer and let him know and asked if he could please see how I can cancel further sessions as I now had to go through surgery and start physical therapy and wouldn't be able to attend. He was sorry and said he would talk to his boss and get back to me. Worst week of my life and my family's life. I spent a week in the hospital before surgery. My husband has missed work , I missed work. I've been in recovery for 3 weeks (still missing work) the hospital bill I ended up with, I'm basically on my back the whole time so my husbands taking on everything like a single dad since our 7yr old just started school. I never heard back from my trainer so I went through corporate to cancel my membership and emailed the gym directly for my refund but I think what bothers me the most is never hearing back from the trainer , not even to see how I'm doing or how the surgery went or what his boss said. read more

So I went over to Youfit in Weston because I heard they were open. The kid at the door says I can't enter without a mask. I tell him that because I have difficulty breathing (which is why I need physical fitness as much as possible) I'm not required to wear a mask per the Broward County Emergency order. He looked confused and went inside to get the manager (I guess that makes me a Karen). A woman who claimed to be the manager said I could not come in. I look inside and see people walking around with NO masks on. I ask why those people are allowed to wander around without a mask. No reply. They then explain that you have to wear a mask when you enter and walk to a machine, then you can take the mask of to workout, then put the mask back on for the 20 second trip to the next machine and take the mask back off. If I understand this right, I can spend an hour on the treadmill, huffing and puffing with no mask then put the mask on for about 20 seconds while I walk to another machine. How exactly does that make sense? So I say "OK lets make this easy, cancel my membership". They say, we can't because your not wearing a mask. As I sit here typing this, I can no longer go to the gym after being a longtime customer, they collected money from me the entire time they were closed and we couldn't use the facility (how is that not fraud?) and now I have to keep paying my membership because I don't wear a mask and they won't let me in to cancel my membership? Also, when I looked inside, most of the treadmills and machines had signs that they were not in use. This wasn't an awesome gym to begin with but now it's intolerable. read more

This is my go-to gym spot when I'm in the area (usually on the weekends). This place is a lot bigger than the other locations and offer babysitting, tons of classes, and a trainer- if you desire. There's also a big parking lot so parking is never an issue. My review may be a bit biased because I only come here on the weekends and when I do: 1. Service is always friendly. 2. Machines are pretty vacant for the most part. 3. I don't have to wait around for the cardio equipment. 4. People here actually re-rack their weights. 5. There's plenty of room for rolling, stretching, and abs. If this gym is convenient in terms of location for you, then you should definitely check it out because you really can't beat the price. read more
