I'm not sure I really know where to start, so I guess I'll begin by saying how grateful I am for Nancy and what she's been able to do for my 1.5+ years of chronic back and hip pain (that is now almost nonexistent.) I grew up as a ballerina and needless to say it wasn't that easy on my body - I trained on concrete floors, pushed my muscles to the limit, and it ended up taking a huge toll on me once I hit my mid-twenties. For the past year and a half, I have only slept 3-5 hours a night, was often limping on my right leg, and was basically learning to just live with the pain. I went to so many doctors and spent thousands of dollars only to be told to try antidepressants. I was met with blank stares because my scans were all clean, and that it was a muscular issue. After the orthopedic route, I tried massage, sensory deprivation floating, and everything in between. I was basically taking Advil every few hours and still not sleeping. I had always had a negative opinion of chiropractors and I'm not sure why... but I was always against the idea, even when I was really being pushed to go by someone who saw the pain firsthand. I guess I finally got to a point where I would try anything, and I'm so glad I went to see Dr. Nancy. I'm actually really bummed I didn't do it much earlier. Nancy made my first visit so comfortable - I told her I didn't want my neck adjusted because it just freaked me out too much, and she gladly obliged (even though I bet she was secretly rolling her eyes at me.) Over the past 5-6 weeks I've been doing a combination of electro stem, acupuncture, and adjustments. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't a quick fix - I had some painful days for sure, but each week I've gotten better and I'm now officially at zero pain. I can't even believe it. My visits are becoming less and less frequent and I'm even back to the treadmill and light workouts. I am seriously so grateful for Nancy and also her awesome receptionist Lisa who is so friendly and makes appointment scheduling easy! Can't recommend this practice enough. Young Chiropractic is located on Watson Road in SW City. Dr. Nancy has been invaluable to my family for years. She always does massage with her evaluation and she really knows her stuff. She takes most insurance plans and works on workman's comp and auto accident cases and handles all of the billing for you. I have found that this is rare with Chiropractors. Dr. Young has been a blessing to me in so many ways. Most recently she has been treating my chronic migraines through acupuncture, which helped me be able to quit taking a daily medication which was causing terrible side effects. My migraines are now much more manageable and while I was first apprehensive about acupuncture, I am excited to tell everyone I meet how helpful it has been. I'd much rather have regular acupuncture appointments than be on a heavy duty SNRI medication. Dr. Young has also treated me for muscle spasms I get from my chronic pain issues and given me spinal adjustments when I've needed them. She is always understanding of my not wanting to have my neck adjusted, as that is something that I just don't care to have done. She has evening and Saturday hours which make it easy to make an appointment that works for my schedule. And I am so happy with her new location off of Hampton - lots of parking and no loud traffic noise like there was at the previous location. I cannot recommend Dr. Young enough! read more

After my negative review of a Groupon chiropractor, I completely forgot to positively review the chiropractor that took months to fix the damage that the other did. I really enjoy this office. She did stim treatments on my hip which gave me the first relief from pain for months. Even though my health insurance no longer covers chiropractic, I still go here and think the out of pocket price is completely reasonable. It's a no-frills, one doctor operation. But she does great work and is attentive and effective. I'll go back as long as I'm in St. Louis. read more

Young Chiropractic is wonderful! I changed chiropractors when I moved to the Lindenwood Park neighborhood and felt like it was time for a change. It was one of the best decisions I've made, health-wise. Dr. Nancy has taken excellent care of me, from successful acupuncture treatments of my mildly arthritic fingers to now, when I'm pregnant and experiencing all sorts of new kinds of interesting aches and pains. She's thorough and attentive, and I feel like she always tunes in to what's going on, rather than just going through the motions of a standard chiropractic adjustment. She addresses each need specifically, and has helped me immensely. I highly recommend her for acupuncture, and if you're pregnant, I don't think you could be in better hands for supplementary prenatal care. Nancy is great. I love coming here each month for an adjustment because I feel so much better afterwards. She asks what has been hurting and then does a quick physical examination to determine where to place these little activator pads (not sure what exactly they are but the help loosen the muscles before an adjustment). Called before the office was open and left a message and Dr Young called back within about 10 minutes. She asked about my ailments and said she could fit me in that afternoon. I arrived early to fill out the normal paperwork and she escorted me to a room to do an assessment of my mobility which was severely limited due to extreme tightness and pain in my lower back. She listened to my history with this condition and was able to make some additional suggestions on how to combat the tightness. She was very caring and I felt so much better when I left. I would recommend her to anyone in need of a chiropractor as she is definitely not one that is just going to run you through and Bill your insurance like I have seen many times. I am so grateful to have found Dr. Nancy Young and highly recommend her! She has helped me tremendously after a hit and run car accident that caused whip lash and neck and back pain. I also had some underlining pain and discomfort from past injuries and my acute scoliosis. I walked into the office a little over 5 years ago in a lot of pain after being told (incorrectly) by an Osteopath that I needed back surgery and I was on a lot of pain killers. I was able to download all the forms that needed to be completed directly from the website (www.stlcitychiro.com) before my appointment so I was prepared when I walked in. The office runs very efficiently and professionally. Dr. Young spent a long time with me during my first appointment doing a thorough assessment and asked a lot of questions, viewed my x-rays and I felt that I was being attended to by someone experienced and someone who wasn't afraid to work with me (unlike a previous experience). The actual initial treatment part did not take very long, but I did experience immediate relief and mobility in my neck (which was my major complaint). I have been suffering from chronic pain in my neck and shoulders for over 5 years. In addition to the many painful trigger points that riddled my upper back and neck I experienced headaches almost every week that would last for days. These headaches zapped my energy levels and made me irritable and unable to focus. Dr Young has been my doctor for over 30 years and you should come to her. She is very professional- always sees you at the appointed time. She takes a thorough history and let's you talk. She doesn't interrupt and you know she's really engaged and not multi- tasking. She is very honest and will be candid with you. She takes her time with you.
