I went in at 5:45 pm, a fairly busy time for them, and they tried to stop me from going into the humidor because they were making a video. Who wants to keep paying customers from the money maker of your business? Are videos, which should be shot in slower hours or outside of business hours, making you enough money to cut customers from the cigars? This is horrible business practice and not very customer oriented behavior. I shopped here to support local business but I'm in Houston enough that all my business will be done over there from now on. This shop should really reevaluate how they stay open and place that as their number one priority.

When I politely asked her for assistance she was clueless to the products they sold or what most items even cost. Do yourself a favor and do not shop here. Employees like this are the exact reason why retail businesses are losing ground to online businesses. It's a shame that a person like her doesn't take her job seriously. The management and ownership of this store really needs to reconsider employees like Kate.

I found a few back issues I'd been missing, all at close to cover price, which was nice. I wasn't hunting for anything super rare, just some niche titles I enjoy, so it worked out. The place was a little unorganized, but to be fair, it was the weekend right after Comicpalooza in Houston, so I get it. Despite that, the guy working (maybe the owner?) was still attentive. He even noticed the kind of books I was looking for and offered to show me some extras he had behind the counter that I wouldn't have seen otherwise. Overall, it was a solid experience and I'd definitely go back.
