EDIT 2: Dr. Kim and I worked out a plan that will solve the problem. Therefore I am updating the review. I am glad to learn that they will not leave patients on their own after insurance mistakes. One star deducted for all the pains and stress that I went through, and also the fact that I had to pay for root canal without insurance coverage due to the mistake. Dr. Kim did mention that it might not be a mistake; rather, tit's probably the insurance company that's trying not to cover. I will need to further look into that. Edit: I'm not saying that the doctor had done anything wrong. He is a nice person. Just the whole experience was very stressful. And after the billing department mistakened my insurance resulting in my having to pay for the whole thing out of pocket, at no point did they apologize. They even said that I wouldn't have had any choice anyway even if they had gotten it right. I left the place completely emotionally wrecked. If they got the insurance wrong, it is you that will be left responsible. DON'T GO TO THIS PLACE. They completely screwed me over. Nov. 6, 2020: I went to this facility for the first time for regular cleaning. The dentist told me I needed filling for 5 teeth on the left side. I scheduled for filling. Nov. 13, 2020: I received dental fillings of 5 teeth. Immediately after the filling, I noticed two of the teeth were connected; floss couldn't go through. I went back to the place and they removed the materials that connected those two teeth. Then after the numbing effect completed faded, I noticed three teeth that received filling became extremely sensitive. I couldn't eat or even use mouth wash because it would hurt so bad. They asked me to wait for a month. Didn't get better. I went back (and was charged for this follow-up visit); they told me that it hurt possibly due to infection and I need a root canal for one tooth. And for the wisdom tooth that became sensitive, they told me I should extract it (after they gave my wisdom tooth filling). I was advised to schedule for root canal in Jan. 2021, so that my insurance will cover it under the new calendar year. Jan. 15, 2021: After several miserable weeks of unable to eat with the pain not going away, I came back for the root canal. The dentist couldn't finish at one go and asked me to come back at a later date. When I got home that day and the numbing effect faded, I found not only I couldn't eat, it got worse. That tooth hurt so bad even when I was not using it. I had to take so many painkillers. Couldn't focus on work next several days. It was too painful I cried multiple times. Jan 22, 2021: The longest week of my life. I came back for the second visit to have the root canal completed. After that, I scheduled the crown for 2/5/2021. I was assured that insurance will pay 80% of root canal and 50% of crown. Feb 5, 2021: I showed up for my appointment of crown and was told that my insurance won't pay for it (?). I called my insurance, they told me my plan resets every July and I already maxed out due to cleaning and filling, not a calendar year plan like the dental place told me. Not only I won't be covered for crown, the dental place told me that I now have a balance from root canal that I have to pay for full amount. They suggested me to continue with the crown and pay out of pocket, on top of the root canal that I now have to pay. When I said they shouldn't have told me that my insurance will cover when it won't, they said that EVEN IF they told me my insurance was maxed out prior to the root canal, I "won't have a choice because (I) had an infection". They basically refused to acknowledge any of their mistakes and asked me to pay for everything. Right now: I am left with a tooth without crown, two other teeth that are sensitive to heat and coldness, and a full bill of root canal that I had to pay. I never felt so completely screwed. Months of misery (and all the time I spent driving back and forth) that I went through led to these unbelievable results. I will look into legal avenues for a better resolution. read more

I took my son to see Dr.Lee for tooth extraction and cleaning. Dr.Lee was professional, and did a great job extracting 3 teeth that needed to come out because the adult teeth were already growing out of the gums. My son said it was almost painless during the procedure. She was patient to make sure all of the roots of one stubborn tooth was removed. She answered all our questions and delivered great care. The office staff (Emily) was nice to deal with. We didn't have to wait long even though we were early to our appointment. We would recommend Dr.Lee if you are looking for a kind and competent dentist. read more

Dr. Kim seems nice and patient. Had my teeth cleaned here. However, I came here for teeth implantation. They were not explained clearly. I was expecting a call scheduled at 8am but instead I left them a voice mail. Wish they can do better. By the way, there is a lady there called Anna? She was "patient" and "nice". read more

My husband and I have been availing of Dr. Kim's service for over 10 years. He is not only very knowledgeable and skilled in his profession but is up to date in new procedures related to dental work. He is compassionate. I had an emergency last week and his office was able to squeeze me in on a Saturday and worked on extracting my broken tooth and replacing it with a temporary at the same time making sure it would not be infected (I am a diabetic) by providing me with the necessary medication especially because it was a weekend. The front office staff and dental assistants are all very nice, competent and professional as well. Thank you Dr. Kim for your great service! read more

I came here for a cleaning for the first time a couple of weeks ago. I was very happy with my visit. Dr. Kim was very nice and friendly. He was upfront about what my insurance did and didn't cover as he was providing care, answered any questions I had in a clear manner and educated me on some dental health issues. The office was clean and well cared for. Needless to say it was everything I could have hoped for from a dental visit. If I could give 0 stars.. I would! Dr. Kim is very nice, friendly and helpful. However, my experience to just booking the appointment and my situation today still has me in disbelief! Front desk or so called "manager" is the most unprofessional, rude individual. I have been working in customer service for quite some time and seen customers with problems.. issues.. and mostly in all situations and I have never ever seen anyone or myself have talked to any customer the way she did today. Given the fact that I have cancelled my appointments a few times due to schedule conflicts/ emergencies there is NO reason to treat a customer with such disrespect. She basically yelled at me on the phone like I was her little daughter because I couldn't find their building! I've been a patient of Dr. Kim since 2009. I was hugely pregnant with my 2nd child and without dental insurance. I found out about his practice through a val-pack coupon for a $49 cleaning and x-ray service. Dr. Kim treated us so well and was always reasonable in price since we had no coverage. I once chipped my front tooth before leaving for a trip and Dr. Kim met me in the office during his day off and repaired it within a couple of hours. Since then, we've acquired dental insurance, and we bring our whole family (adults and children) in for cleaning and maintenance twice a year. My husband and I have been going to Dr. Kim for over 7 years now. He is great, and I love this practice. He is very professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and talented at what he does in the dentistry profession. The rest of the staff is also helpful. Whenever I visit for a regular check-up, Dr. Kim exams my teeth carefully and tries to fix all the issues he finds (or course after asking me first). He is very honest; no surprise here. From the day I contacted Dr. Kim's office, he and his staff were kind, courteous, and professional. Very impressed with the reviews of his other patients but getting mixed signals from my insurer's web site as to his availability, I emailed his office on a Sunday (expecting no reply before Monday) to learn whether he was accepting new patients. He replied just over an hour later, explaining that he was no longer accepting my insurance because it conflicted with other PPO plans when patients had both plans, but that he had informed his patients that he would honor the insurer's fee schedule and copays for this year but recommend changing to a PPO plan during the next open enrollment period. So I could make an appointment and he would honor my plan's schedule. Making an appointment online for that Friday was virtually effortless, and his front desk person emailed me when she had received my records from past providers, attaching a virtually unredundant form (though the questions about latest dental visit and X-rays would be essential for a patient not providing the relevant records) that was easy to complete once my Acrobat program recognized the form fields. I emailed a further question about the claims procedure and Dr. Kim replied that evening. Arriving at the office, I was greeted by the woman who had sent me the form. She momentarily borrowed my driver's license, said Dr. Kim would be right with me, and pointed out seating, refreshments, and the restroom. I hadn't been seated a minute before Dr. Kim came out to meet me and escort me to a treatment area. After studying my X-rays and asking what problems I was having, he examined my teeth and gums gently but thoroughly, advised me that he did not see any need for new X-rays, and said that I should continue my current regimen of brushing, flossing, and Waterpikking. As to the irritated gum area adjacent to an implant (which had overcome my inertia and inspired me to seek dental care), he said that that pocket would continue to attract debris which would cause irritation during those hours between routine hygiene, but prescribed Paroex/Chlorhexidine Gluconate, to be used for no more than two weeks at a time because of the risk of antibiotic resistance. (I'm glad he told me that, because I had been using some Paroex remaining from my periodontic surgery for several weeks before my appointment.) He then cleaned and polished my teeth and instructed his hygienist to give me a fluoride treatment. Back at the front desk, I found that my claim had already been submitted and I had only the co-pay to take care of. Dental care doesn't get much more painless than that. read more

1st visit; 1st impressions: Very clean, modern office. No double-booking of appointments as far as I can tell, unlike some providers. Staff seems friendly and competent. Very short wait time to see the dentist. Dr. Kim seems very knowledgeable and has a good bedside manner. He is attentive to patient concerns and pain. Went in for a root canal, which is never pleasant. Took about an hour. Some pain during the procedure but minimal pain afterwards. He provided a treatment plan for other dental concerns with relevant costs at the end of the visit. Pricing seemed objective and he did not upsell any unnecessary procedures. Would use this provider again. One great feature this dentist offers is online appointment scheduling. Many providers offer "online" appointment scheduling but it's the kind where you "request" an appointment online and you still have to wait for their office to confirm it by phone. This provider is on ZocDoc so you can schedule appointments online 24/7 without having to call into the office. The office doesn't seem to take the ZocDoc paperwork though so you will still have to fill out their paperwork when you get there. I also like that he has Saturday appointments, although those fill up really quickly. read more

If I could give them a zero I would great staff but lazy dentist only wants to do easy jobs came in today to get a temp filling on my right side n a extraction but as soon as I get in the chair he was already mad an annoyed that he had to do this job he said "your extraction is gonna take a long time because u a big guy " I was like ok cool but before everything I told them when I called that I needed a temp filling because my tooth was very sensitive to cold n warm drinks so before he starts to try n take my tooth out I tell him if he could please put a temp filling n he goes to tell me he can't and told me that I needed a root canal on that tooth too n to go see a specialist so I'm here thinking maybe I picked the wrong dentist because he doesn't do fillings or extraction or root canal or crowns or it was that he didn't wanna do the job I have no idea why but I asked him if I'm at the right place because he doesn't do anything n wants me to go to a specialist for everything he got all mad and rude n told me he wasn't gonna do anything that he didn't wanna do my extraction n walked away like a 5 year old kid nasty n rude worse experience ever I wouldn't recommend this place to hard paying people I wish I could of had a better experience but it was a nightmare to say the least read more
