I had a good experience with Sara. I had the worst time trying to find someone to fix my snow jacket zipper. They either couldn't figure out how to fix it or they wanted to charge me an arm and a leg and even then they weren't sure if they could fix it. So I almost gave up. I thought I'd hear the same song and dance if I called "Your Alterations " but I got a fast and simple response and Sara did a very good job, she's a good seamstress and her price was very reasonable. I'm surprised there aren't more reviews for sara's alterations here on Yelp, as she is indeed fantastic! I contacted Sara on short notice for alterations on a bridesmaid gown, and she was so accommodating & professional. She got the work done on my dress in less than 2 weeks, and dress fit perfectly! I entrusted three of my brand new dresses to Sara's care of Your Alterations and all three of my dresses came back with holes in them and were damaged, ruined! Sara REFUSED to repair the damage she caused and she refused to compensate me for ruining my three dresses. On other items Sara did alter, I found her work to be VERY sloppy and amateurish and I'm having to have all the items, Sara altered, repaired and redone by another seamstress. In my opinion and my experience, choosing to use Your Alterations for my clothes, was a very bad choice. Normally don't review but got a prompt to. I came to her with two bridesmaids dresses this summer and she completely ruined them (cut off the train on the hi-low dress) and the other dress fit worse than before I gave it to her. Very disappointing. I had to rush order a new dress and get rush alterations on both dresses within days of my sister's wedding to fix it. Would not recommend. read more
