My mother has terminal cancer and we ended up having to get married a year earlier than we planned so we were stressing about finding a venue that could put together our dream wedding in 5 months. We almost settled and gave up on that dream wedding until we found The Cotton Gin. I still have no idea how they pulled it off so seamlessly. The Cotton Gin went above and beyond to make the whole day smooth for both my mom and us. When they say "all inclusive" they mean it. I did not lift a single finger for coordinating vendors, stressing about timing, or anything that usually causes stress for brides. I was calm the whole day and if any anxiety arose at any point in the process, the staff reassured me and was proactive in accommodating anything I needed. The owner Amanda is a creative genius and you can tell she loves what she does. Her goal is to give all brides a dream wedding that fits their budget. You can tell that she put careful thought into choosing staff that has the same passion and vision. Truly I feel like I made bonds with the staff that will last a life time. All of my guests gave extremely positive feedback about their experience! Also, the food was literally a 5 star dining experience. I am going to be craving their salmon and stuffed mushrooms for the rest of my life. I wish I could get married to my husband again and again so I can give The Cotton Gin more of my business!!

Staff was very calm and professional and kept the appetizers coming. Bar offered a lot of interesting drinks. The venue itself is gorgeous with very little of your own decorating needed. They literally took care of everything it seemed. Lots of places to take pictures. We had beef mashed potatoes and asparagus, which came out temperature hot and well seasoned. The shrimp and grits for the appetizer was delicious and the presentation of the cheeses was wonderful. A beautiful, intimate and cozy place with a couple levels, including a dance floor. I would highly recommend this place if you're interested in having a wedding reception.

Their presents automatically made me feel like I took a step in the right direction. When I first met Mrs. Green, she gave me such beautiful run down of The Magnolia's history. My event was a Quince(15th), which is very important in Hispanic culture. My number 1 priority was making sure all the elements and traditions were met. Then during my second meeting with Mrs. Green and Mrs. Owens, they made me feel so seen and heard. Then, when we got to picking out the vendors, I felt like some of them weren't understanding the vision I wanted. Yet, Mrs. Green and Ms. Owens made sure to find vendors that understood my traditions and making sure that they were all met. Which I greatly appreciated. I could explain all the correct things The Green Magnolia did for me but there just isn't enough stars or words to expression how truly amazing, caring and thoughtful they were to me and my family. My last thank you will be to Mr. Green thank you so much for your kind words to me the day of event, words that I will cherish forever.     My 50th Birthday Party This was the venue I went with…read moreafter searching about 4-6 event venues around metro Atlanta. I had specific requirements - Black, Woman Owned. Working with Danielle was such a pleasure and my event was amazing. Touring the venue is like an AirBNB host - you get a code and self-tour. Also, all the steps to book, make payments, coordinate the decor and even add-ons like bartenders, decorations, etc. were available through a portal which was very easy & professional. She was also available via text for random questions. My 50th planning committee was hands on & showed up early to get in at set up time. I also had my vendors - Bartender, DJ, photobooth and caterers set up before guests arrived. I had notified my guests when to arrive for my grand entrance! Overall, the perfect location for parking (free on the street), a unique setting, intimate and you can customize it to your liking. It felt like a Brooklyn loft and was a big hit! 10/10 highly recommend!

The hardwood floors only added to the beauty of this space. I would definitely recommend having events here. I don't know how many people it can hold, but I saw a lounge area, two large round tables, a full bar, and three long tables with food while I was here.     I rented the space for a baby shower, my initial meeting with the owner went well, we liked the…read morespace and verbally agreed on some changes to his drink policy. The owner was very nice and assured us that bringing our own mixed alcoholic punch would be fine, he actually recommended this. The day of the baby shower (after he had our money) everything changed he did not allow us to use the punch and had the audacity to tell me that he never agreed to the punch (LIES - we had multiple conversations about the punch) & then he had the nerve to threaten us if he got a fine due to the punch. His exact words were "if I lose my liquor license or get a fine, you are going down with me" Who runs a business and talks to paying customers in this way?? I don't want to pull the race card but I can't help but think he would NOT deal with white customers in this way. We are young black and very respectful - we paid and were nothing but professional. Long story short we used the punch with NO ISSUES no fights broke out no one was shot no police came out. But I would not recommend this space to anyone. THE OWNER IS UNPROFESSIONAL & DOES NOT STAND BEHIND HIS WORD! BEWARE!

Event planners will love the freedom to tailor their catering and decorating options rather than having to choose from a limited list of a traditional venue. The owners were very accommodating and really knew how to make visitors comfortable and delighted. Feature this charming venue in your next event and see if you don't agree!
