We were truly lucky to have found her. Throughout our entire wedding planning process, we were very appreciative and grateful to have Jordan by our side. We relied on her heavily. Her guidance and support made everything about our wedding so much easier. We trusted her fully. We can't recommend Jordan and her team enough. Our wedding was April 15, 2022 at the Atlanta History Center. We first started working with Jordan in July 2018. Yes, we had been planning our wedding for about 3 years 9 months. No, we did not plan it that way. Our original wedding date was May 30, 2020. My wife and I had planned for a roughly two-year engagement and wedding planning period. Then of course, COVID happened. Our wedding was postponed twice: First, to May 7, 2021. Then, to April 15, 2022. Jordan was with us and supported us every step of the way. We went from planning a pre-COVID wedding to a post-COVID wedding. We went from in-person planning sessions to virtual planning sessions. We went from "normal" tastings to masked and socially-distant tastings. (BTW, the tastings - both for the food at the reception and for our wedding cake - were some of my favorite parts of the planning process.) We found Jordan after doing internet searches for Atlanta wedding planners. Jordan was one of multiple planners we contacted. One of the planners we spoke to wasn't a good fit. She recommended Jordan to us. Also, an Atlanta wedding photographer I know put in a good word about Jordan. After meeting with Jordan, my wife and I agreed, Jordan was an excellent fit. We immediately felt comfortable and jived with her. Coincidentally, Jordan and my wife went to the same college for undergrad (Emory) and Jordan and I are from the same part of North Carolina (Piedmont Triad). We've gotten along with Jordan so well that we consider her and her husband our friends. They are just really good people. Jordan is very professional and organized. With her years of experience in the wedding industry, particularly in Atlanta and with our venue and vendors, I knew we were in great hands. In general, my wife was more involved in the planning process with Jordan - she was more particular about certain details than I was. However, I think I was involved at an "above-average" level for a groom. I attended every meeting, but admittedly, tried to stay as hands-off as possible. Jordan was invaluable at securing appointments with the vendors that made the most sense to us based on our budget and preferences. (2) Our dance studio changed from Daza Dance to Fred Astaire. A few of the vendors, we found ourselves. For example, I already had an existing relationship with TRIO, so I got them to do my custom tux. My wife and I already had our minds set on a Swan House wedding. Jordan made it happen. She and her team, along with many of the vendors we chose, have a lot of experience working together *and* working at the Atlanta History Center. So, for the most part, everything was quite easy. I think the hard part, at least for me as the groom, was decision-making on certain details (e.g. menu) and getting our guest list in order. In addition to securing the vendors that fit us best, Jordan and her team (including Sydney Woods and Gerard Wright) took care of so many details, I can't even begin to tell you; from reviewing and coordinating contracts and payments to little things on our wedding day, such as getting lip balm for my lips that were chapped from so much kissing. Jordan is a consummate professional. Simply put, Jordan exceeded our expectations and executed the wedding of our dreams. My husband and I had already done a lot of the planning so we didn't need a wedding planner but the idea of someone else handling all of the details in the days leading up to and on the day of the wedding sounded like a great idea. Hiring Jordan and Kristen was one of the best decisions we made and some of the best money we spent on the wedding. They were with me all day as I was getting ready, ran interference on the couple of inevitable hiccups that happened with guests and wedding participants, ironed my dress one more time, made sure we ate, and even played chauffeur since the church and reception venue were so close that we hadn't hired outside transportation. All three photography companies did an excellent job, all the event planners and decorators and bands and dress designers did amazingly incredible work. The best part about it? It features local folks like you and me. Second best part? If you go with many of these vendors, you'll know you're getting a customized wedding just for you. No cookie cutter weddings here! We found our caterer through this event, discovered a cake we weren't too fond of, found a vintage decorator to work with, and even reconnected with an old friend from long ago only to discover we a) live 5 minutes apart, b) we are getting married at the same location, and c) I really needed to contact her wedding coordinator and now she's also my coordinator. Lots of things that normally you'd pay money for tastings and trials but here was everyone's work out for all to see and it was only $35 a person. I saw bridal shows asking for more money and those are just places where run of the mill vendors from all over the place harass you into buying things. Give this a whirl if you want something fresh, fun, and YOU. If you have an extra long engagement, go twice! Vendors change out yearly and again, they are all local. Best way to get ideas is to see it all in action, hands down. They're now expanding to San Diego and Orlando this year, which is great news for brides in those locations!

In the wedding business it's important to remember you get what you pay for. This has been the best money spent in all of my wedding expenses, so far. Bash came HIGHLY-RECOMMENDED thru about 6 different websites, so I reached out to LT, and made arrangements to meet with her. I fell in love the minute I met her, and signed her immediately. There isn't anything LT won't do in the best way possible, to make this day amazing. She's planning it all, including the rehearsal dinner and farewell brunch, blocking rooms, hiring vendors, booking formal wear appointments, monitoring our budget, monitoring our wedding Web site, save-the-dates, invitations, the list goes on and on and on. I don't know how she keeps it all together, and looking effortless! To date, she has schlepped us to numerous wedding venues, catering tastings, vendor appointments, kept me from melting down numerous times in the midst of planning my wedding, is on-track with all of my whacky requests and handles my micro-managing with absolute grace, stays in constant e - mail contact with me, and is definitely the calm in the storm. I still have 9 months until my wedding, and without LT and Bash, I'd be lost and probably in a mental home by now. A wedding is one of the most important days of a couple's life, and the reason we hired a coordinator was so that we could be present and enjoy the day rather than manage it ourselves. Unfortunately, my family, friends, and vendors ended up stepping into many of the responsibilities we specifically hired House of BASH to handle. What makes this especially disappointing is that the written scope of our $1,800 "Something Old" package explicitly included vendor management, master timeline creation, rehearsal coordination, guest direction, reception flow, troubleshooting, and two experienced House of BASH coordinators. The sales process vs. the reality When I first inquired with LT, she was extremely upbeat and confident on the phone and described everything House of BASH could provide. I initially planned to use her for both coordination and floral/design services. The design process was one of the first places where I became concerned. I provided a Pinterest board with the aesthetic and ideas I wanted, and the resulting proposal largely consisted of images from that board rather than a developed design presentation showing how those ideas would be translated into our wedding. The proposal itself was difficult for me to follow and did not give me confidence in moving forward with the additional design services. I ultimately decided not to continue with those additional services and lost $300 associated with the design process. At that point, I decided to handle much of the design myself. Communication and professionalism Once we moved into the planning process, my experience was very different from the initial sales call. Communication with LT was often blunt and made me uncomfortable asking questions. I was told things were "unusual" or "not what [she] experienced in years in the industry" when I asked questions or made decisions differently from how she typically runs weddings. I also worked primarily with an assistant throughout much of the planning process. When we had our venue walkthrough about a week before the wedding, the assistant asked questions about details we had already discussed, including linens and cocktail stirs, even though we had already confirmed we were not doing those items. More importantly, the questions that mattered most to the actual flow of our wedding were not discussed in the level of detail I expected from a coordinator. The package we purchased specifically included vendor management, master timeline creation, and two experienced House of BASH coordinators, so I expected the team executing our wedding to be very familiar with our plans. Timeline and preparation I chose to build our master timeline around our photographer's schedule because photography was extremely important to us. LT repeatedly described my approach as "unusual," and I felt pressured to follow her preferred way of doing things. Ultimately, I stayed with the timeline that worked for our photographer, and I am grateful I did because it allowed us to get the photographs that were important to us. The bigger issue was that I felt I had to prepare extensively for the coordinator rather than the coordinator preparing us. We created our own comprehensive wedding binder containing our timeline, vendor information, ceremony music, meal assignments, substitutions, and day-of instructions. We printed copies and distributed them to our wedding party and family because we wanted everyone to have access to the information. Despite that, even in the week leading up to the wedding, the coordination team was still asking questions about details such as ceremony music that were already clearly documented. The rehearsal Our rehearsal was scheduled for 11:00 AM. My wedding party and I were there on time, but LT arrived at approximately 11:08 AM. Eight minutes may not sound significant, but the package specifically included rehearsal coordination and leading the ceremony rehearsal so the wedding party would know where to be and when. I had not been given a clear answer beforehand about which coordinator would be present, so I personally had to call and text to figure out who was coming. That experience did not give me confidence going into the wedding day. Wedding-day coordination and vendor management This is where the difference between what we purchased and what we experienced became most apparent. Our package specifically included vendor management, oversight of vendor setup, coordination with catering, management of the day's timeline, guest direction, reception flow, and troubleshooting. As the bride, I was focused on managing countless responsibilities throughout the day and should not have been expected to track down the videographer or ensure he remained to capture key moments of the reception. While the DJ did follow the playlist instructions we provided, I found myself having to approach him multiple times to ask that certain activities during the reception be announced. Beyond the introductions, there was very little interaction with the guests. The reception lacked the energy and engagement I was expecting from a wedding DJ, and there was no real "hype man" presence to encourage participation, keep the crowd involved, or help create a fun and lively atmosphere. While we did receive some good photos, there were several issues with the photography experience that left us disappointed. The photographer was very adamant about who would be included in our photos, and we repeatedly had to speak up to ensure our family members were included. There were also specific shots I requested that do not appear to have been captured. For example, I asked twice for a photo of the "I Do" wording on the bottom of my heels, and I am fairly certain that photo was never taken. There was also another requested photo in front of a group of people that was not captured. Throughout the day, the photographer seemed focused on her own vision and ideas rather than asking if there were any additional photos or moments that were important to us. While we followed her schedule and directions, very little effort was made to personalize the experience or make the photos feel reflective of who we are as a couple. My husband and I have fun, goofy personalities, but the overall approach felt very rigid and overly formal. We would have appreciated more flexibility, collaboration, and interest in capturing our personalities rather than keeping everything so structured and uptight. She assisted me in picking every vendor. Although she had her own recommendations, she didn't push them too heavily on me (although we did pick a few of her highly recommended vendors). She was available by phone, email, in-person meeting, carrier pigeon (lol) at any time of day. She ALWAYS had her notebook/planner with her and kept track of all of our contracts and notes. I never ONCE had to take notes myself or keep track of the details. She also didn't work alone. Be weary of any coordinators who do everything by themselves. Something is likely to be missed or forgotten. She has a whole team of staff who assisted in bringing in my decor, setting it all up, AND CLEANING IT ALL UP! I did not have to lift a single finger AT ALL. Even with the best laid plans, issues arise. At my wedding, people showed up without rsvp-ing. Amaris scouted out additional tables and she had extra table cloths, center pieces etc that she brought with her (bc she's always prepared). She created more seating in the blink of an eye so that my guests were accommodated. When I walked into my bridal suite, she had a beautiful bucket of champagne and sparkling juice for my bridal party. She also moved constantly in the background! She handled all questions, comments, concerns with grace and never became flustered. Lastly, she made my vision come to life. She has an entire floor in her home dedicated to ALLLL things wedding. A storage facility for tables, vases, flowers, table cloths, chairs etc. she was able to do a LIVE mock-up of my centerpieces on the table. When I asked to see many different table cloth combinations, she had them available. SHE IS AMAZING! I asked for a broach bouquet and she had a breathtaking one waiting for me when I arrived at the bridal suite. She is amazing at what she does and you will be lucky to have her. Lastly, she handles various budgets but never allows anything to look cheap or basic. Her design suggestions are diverse but always classically beautiful.
