There were several areas that my boyfriend noticed his therapist addressed that mine did not, which stood out since I've had deep tissue massages elsewhere where those areas are typically worked on. It was later in the day as that was when they had the availability for us and so I can understand their fatigue a bit. The front desk lady was super accommodating to us and even gave us a free add on service to make up for our troubles. Overall not a bad experience just mediocre in my opinion.

It seems like it has many caveats from places that accept it. You can only use it for full-peice services, and you can't book a package of services or seasonal specials. The shop was comfortable and very hippie inside. A bit too many chotchkies for sale inside, but retail is necessary , I realize. The music was a little too crazy and loud for me. Everyone was very nice, and though you can purchase a membership, I loved that it was very low pressure. It actually seems like a good deal that your services can be rolled forward, and can be combined for a larger service. I'm just not a subscription person. I booked an hour massage and a facial. The facial was very thorough and relaxing. The massage was also great, but ended really quickly. When I got dressed and walked to the desk, the gal apologized, as she didn't realize that I had booked an hour. She said I could go back in and get another 30 minutes, but I was already put back together. No thanks. As I checked out, I was also given a cute little facial gift bag, with a nice smelling cleanser, toner and moisturizer. Nice touch. I had a decent service. I'm on the fence about this place. Bear in mind, this is a fully clothed massage. Although I wore a sports bra so I took off my shirt. As requested, I arrived a bit early for my appointment in order to fill out informational health paperwork. After completing the paperwork, Pilma asked questions about any concerns and areas that needed focus, what type of pressure, etc., which I informed her about. She kindly assisted me to a therapy room with that was very tastefully decorated with various pieces of art, subdued lighting and soothing music which provided a very calming atmosphere. Her nicely padded treatment table is the most comfortable I've ever been on and I was able to breath easily while on my stomach and importantly, I didn't experience any back pain from being on the table after my session. During my treatment, Pilma was very careful massaging and stretching me; she frequently inquired about my pain level (I have Osteoarthritis) and the pressure level she was applying. Not once during my massage, did she cause me to flinch in pain as she was very much in tune with her observations which I very much appreciated. My massage session with Pilma, who was so kind and compassionate, was up before I knew it and she helped me sit up and also offered me a cool bottle of water and recommended to drink plenty of fluids the rest of the day. From my very positive experience with Pilma today, I can see why she has so many wonderful customer reviews. I have a nerve or several nerves embedded in scar tissue weaving it's way through the unbelievably complicated rotator cuff/shoulder area. It's affecting me from the ground up in a number of ways. Some people just have a deeper understanding of the human body and how everything is connected. She has remarkable tactile sensitivity, and releases the tissue with razor precision. You can tell she is very skilled when it comes to pattern recognition and has seen many, many different people/conditions and is factoring that huge bank of data into the equation. VERY strong if you like that(I do), but is clearly capable of being more gentle if that's your thing. Always has a very warm, pleasant, comforting energy. I see, and have seen many different therapists for what I have been calling my 'meat suit Rubik's cube', and have spent the better part of the last decade correcting my posture, and Lee Ann is my goto at the tail end of all this. Not too many people out there on her level, at this price. You can bundle appointments and save money too. I just finished up a 3 pack of 2hr sessions, and will most definitely be getting another one of those. A prime example of 'money well spent'.
