The family who owns it is very nice and very hands on with making it a fun experience. Staff has always been super friendly and they have a wall where your polaroid is placed if you make it through! This is a smaller escape game facility with about 3-4 rooms, all hand-crafted to fit their theme. We have done all of their rooms each rotation, I just wish they rotated the rooms more and that the ones they did change, weren't so close to the same theme. For example, I love their White House one and they had a temple one too but there were 2 - 3 I did here that was escaping an apartment or along those lines. Also it should be noted that these are hand-crafted so they won't be as immersive as some bigger chains - which I didn't have an issue with. I like going here and try to whenever my family is in town. Just wish they had more rooms and more variety!

The location isn't hard to find, but remember you're looking for a house, not a traditional hotel. Check-in was a breeze and from the moment you enter the suite, you are plunged into what I can only describe as a romantic escape room. I don't want to give away too many things, because half of the fun is discovering all that your suite has to offer. However, I will say that you will not be disappointed if you love mysteries and grew up on choose your own adventure books and Scooby Doo. In addition to all of the fun things, the room has to offer, details have been meticulously, thought of, from plush robes to snacks. You never really have to leave the room if you don't want to. We did decide to take a break about halfway through to enjoy a restaurant in the area, which was another bit of nostalgia, because I had not seen a Ponderosa buffet since I was a kid. Two things to note to make your stay better. First, take advantage of the full-time you have the room. This is one place that you want to arrive as soon as check-in is available at 5PM and check out at the very last minute 11AM so you can really enjoy everything. Next, even if you are really moving quickly the experience takes 3 to 4 hours, so be prepared for that. You can definitely move at your own pace, but just know there's a lot to uncover. One thing I will suggest is that I wish the Grid game and the pattern matching games were more colorblind accessible. For example, in level 6, green is VERY close to yellow. Red and orange are also too similar. A person with Deuteranomy cannot distinguish those colors easily. Deuteranomy is the most common form of color blindness, affecting approximately 5% of males and ~0.4% of females. There should be an option to choose "avoid green/yellow" or "color blind accessible"/"Deuteranomaly or Deuteranopia Accessible". It is very nice that there are free lockers to use!

You will get a wristband that will track your time and score. You will need to register your band before entering. Note that before you enter, you can put stuff in your lockers. Upon entering the dark room, you'll see lots of people running around. It'll seem overwhelming but luckily there are staff that wander around to help lost and confused people. You will go to a door and you can look at what the game is. The screen will show you how to play it. I wouldn't overcomplicate it - just understand the goal and then go play! You are timed so play! When you decide the game, you will scan your band to join the party and the rest of your group will need to tap in. Then once there is no one playing, the door will unlock to allow you to enter. Then you can start the game with a push of a button when you are ready. There are lots of games so I won't describe them all. However, the important thing is that you need to LISTEN to the computer announcer. It'll tell you when the game is over and then you need to exit the room within a minute since the other team will enter to start their game. It's a very rushed process but you'll get the hang of it. You can check how much time and how much points you have by tapping these other screens. And you can take group pictures too. Restrooms are inside so you don't need to leave the area.
