My son has been fishing for a while and hadn't caught anything yet but I am happy to say that is history now! As soon as he casted he would get a bite; yes, the fish we got were small, but it was all his little heart needed. A gentleman next to us caught a bass!! The animals in the back are so cute, they are mostly gentle but will absolutely go after the feeding there is a review below with tons of information on the do's and don'ts of feeding the animals; I recommend you read it, it was so worth while. It's dark, has lots of places to snipe, there's a fog machines and sentries (so you can't just camp in the best sniper spots). Exchange Park is a cute park located in Downtown Vermilion. Don't blink or you might miss it! The All Washed Up Festival was small and super cute, set so picturesque amongst the perfectly manicured grounds. Exchange Park has seasonal plantings, trees, a few sitting areas and a swing. The park also has a public comfort station housed in an historic building that once served as Vermilion's Police Department. There's a small downward hill that leads down to the Vermilion River. But if you're not from the area, just know you can't explore much down there, as the yacht club and condos down there are private properties. Exchange Park is at the intersection of Main Street and Liberty, so you won't miss it if you're already wandering around downtown Vermilion, because you're basically already in it. The city of Vermilion does an excellent job keeping this park beautiful and kudos to Main Street Vermilion for activating it with fun art shows like All Washed Up!

On this particular morning at 6:30 am it was just us and the seagulls. It is also nice to take a break from Cedar Point when it gets crowded in the afternoon, and walking on the beach is our favorite way to relax. Although the water was too cold for swimming on this trip, in the summer heat it is very refreshing to take a swim in the lake.

We have spent a lot of time walking up and down the beach here. We typically leave CP on every…read morevisit to spend time here. Some years they have various activities, like games on the beach, or festivals, like lit up blow ups for a light festival and silent disco. It is a great place if you want to swim in the lake and you have beach access if you are a guest at Breakers. This lake tends to be a bit chilly when ever I go, but temps might vary. This is a fun place to take a break, or if you can get here without going to the park, a fun time to eat at Breakers and play at the beach.
