I got in contact with Agnes again to have a professional edit my MBA application essays. I cannot…read morerecommend Agnes enough. I have never been a strong writer, and while I had an idea of what I wanted to write about, I was not satisfied with the way in which I had written my essays. Agnes was able to help me convey my ideas in a more compelling manner. Furthermore, Agnes was able to provide advice on what would resonate more with the admissions officers and help me refine my ideas. I was extremely busy in the months leading up to the application deadlines, but Agnes' quick turnaround time allowed me to edit each essay enough times and until I was happy with all of them. After sending an essay back to Agnes for revision, she replied with a date by which she was able to edit my essay by, allowing me to plan ahead. In the end, I was admitted to Harvard Business School, Columbia Business School, and Kellogg School of Management. I strongly recommend Agnes to anyone who needs help with their essays.

My son is a high school senior. Agnes did a one-on-one call with me and answered questions via…read moreemail and then did a one-on-one call with my son. Agnes worked with my son on everything from application strategy, timing, resume, essay edits and strategy. She spent time every week catching up with my son and was a true partner. He showed me some of the multiple edits she worked with him. She helped him narrow down his reach/ possible / safety choices (and some new ones) and worked with him on an Early Decision 2 and his regular decisions. My son is smart but has poor organizational skills and timing was never his strong suit. Agnes was great in keeping him on track and making sure he was progressing on time. He and I were happy that he got all his essays done and applications out. My son got into his first choice via ED2 so we were thrilled (unfortunately we had already spent money on regular decision applications but all is good). Would recommend Agnes for any parent looking for a partner for this child.

Got the top package but feel let down. The pros:…read more The resume was restructured and written in a professional fashion. The cons: - I had to follow up on everything before getting responses. This wasted a lot of time in submitting tailored resumes. - His approach is a blackbox, there is no discussion on the resume elements. So you don't know if the purpose is being served. - My profession being very technical, Paul's fine verbiage made it look good, but did not get me interviews. - LinkedIn details he provided was pretty much the resume verbatim and my questioning that did not get me a response - Cover letter felt very generic as well. Mojo could be added only if candidate reads the company/position and adds his reason to be there. Overall I felt the resume writing could have been used at a fourth of the price. For the rest online resources are sufficient.

Overall not bad, but I would not recommend Paul for a technical executive resume. I had very…read morespecific objectives in terms of repositioning myself into a more technical development role, and already had a resume with most of the facts. What came out made me look like a CIO. It just didn't work. Even though Paul touts his background with McKinsey, I am not sure he really understands the Silicon Valley technical job market. He took out way too many facts and in the end it looked like a cookie-cutter template resume. I also did not like the process where instead of a conversation of my career objectives, he just went through a list of prepared questions. I did not walk away with a positive feeling that he understood who I was, and the resume looked accordingly. I used a total of 3 resume writers, and would place Paul in the middle, but way below the service that in the end got me the results I was looking for. In fairness, the best service cost twice as much as what Paul charged. Can't say that I'm totally dissatisfied with Paul's resume, but it just wasn't me.

Great to have a small-town newspaper, but sadly the editorial is run by its major advertisers,…read moretherefore, articles are biased. The recall of council member/vice mayor Herb Perez is a blatant example. Editions with op eds against recall are available in stacks well beyond the published date, while the editions for recall are hard to find even the day of. While dirty politics could be in play (some nefarious person pulling papers from Safeway and Lucky's), I think not as the stacks of pro Perez editions are available well beyond the publication date suggests more were printed than normal. And, the "online" version is very poor quality. Low res PDF which is hard to read. A paper with bias towards advertisers is not worth the paper it is printed on. Also, Mark Watson, part owner of paper is the attorney for Perez. And, Watson is on the city's audit committee chosen over someone more qualified. Cronies flock together and really this city is not the better for it.

Margie ( I believe is her name) is the person you will talk to. For someone like me who has never…read morehad to register the Business Name with a newspaper she is by far the worse person I spoke to out of 4 newspapers. She hates her job and takes it out on potential customers. I called 4 different newspapers and she had the worst customer service out of anyone, and I'm trying to give her my money. At one point she said she could care less whether or not I went with this newspaper to post it and claimed she was the cheapest, which was not true. Honestly I have never talked to anyone who was so rude within a minute of talking to them. She pointed out how she doesn't get paid much so she leaves early, arrives late. This is the type of person she is, she hates her job so she could care less about helping you. Filing your Business Name with a newspaper is something everyone who wants a business license has to do but it seemed like filing with the Foster City Islander was a hassle for them. So i went with the Daily Journal in San Mateo, the person there treated me like a normal person treats other people and took care of me right away. If you have to file your name with a newspaper don't do it with Foster City. The woman working there is just a bad person, if that's the way she talks to potential customers I hate to see how she talks to people she actually hates.
