Upon talking to them on the phone the initial sales girl stated she was new and had me talk to the "owner" who informed me if I wanted it to look like the photo online it would be double the "good" price. When I informed him that is not how it is advertised on his webpage he refused to match the price and told me to go to the other floral shop, so i happily took my business elsewhere. It is really too bad the new owner doesn't honor his own advertisements. I used to order all my arrangements and deliveries from them. Not anymore.

I couldn't be there but wanted to surprise my mom with something bright for her big day. I found Anchor through Google. I called them directly to ask what they could do in my price range and to be delivered on a Saturday morning. I also needed a vase since, you know, moving. The man I spoke to was very nice and extremely accommodating. He suggested a fall arrangement and asked what time I'd like it there. I asked for between 9 and 11 AM. My mom said he was there right at 10 (even in the pouring rain!). The arrangement was substantial (including the vase) for $33 INCLUDING delivery! Most of the flowers weren't open yet, which was perfect to make the bouquet last longer. I couldn't have been more pleased with their assistance in making my mom's day extra special.

My boyfriend was interested in throwing knieves and was looking at the collection, and somehow the owner and him started talking about materials and pricing, when I came into the conversation the owner was admitting how Wal-Mart was selling the same blade for less because they buy them in bigger quantities and so on and so forth. He also went to the extent to recommend going to wal mart if we wanted those blades because we would save money. Good thing me and my boyfriend are completely anti - corporations so we are aware that big companies like wal mart keep stealing buisness from small town shops like these and as my boyfriend was browsing he made a selection and we purchased the knives. It was a great buy especially because not only did the owner give us a discount on a more expensive knife (we bought two different ones, one was $15 and the other $20, but he charged us $15 for both) but my boyfriend and my cousin ended up throwing them at trees later on and in turn teaching me to be a ninja. Small shops like these are always a reminder of how businesses used to belong to the people and now they belong to a select few. I really pray this shop stays in business for a long long time!!! :}

I learned that the business started out as a garage sale, and some of the rooms do seem rummage sale/flea market-esque. We'd actually driven by once before but they were closed then. There was a fair amount of fireworks for sale, but what stands out when you arrive is the metal lawn art and concrete statuary. I had a fun time walking through looking at all of it (with some yard birds accompanying me), although some of it did seem fairly old. Mr. R found some cheap records inside and it was a good place to get out and stretch our legs.

I got tired of waiting on my contractor so I have called Theisens several times to inquire about the Harmony railing that I have ordered from my deck. The guy keeps telling me its on order and that he doesnt have an ETA, but he will call me when he gets an ETA. I know from talking with other vendors it should only be taking three weeks, but I am stuck because this is where my contractor does his business.
