Toward the end of the month, my tan was very uneven - shoulders were spotty, and NOTHING below my knees. Switched to lie-down bed, specifically asking for the one with the newest bulbs each time, but was sent to a different bed each time. Then, when I received my credit card statement, the first automatic payment for membership was billed at $60.45, rather than the $39.95 I was told when I signed up!!!! When I called to have this corrected, no manager was present, and I was told to expect a call-back. When the "manager" called, all she would do was repeat "The billing is correct. You were charged $49.95 for GOLD membership (not the $39.95 I was told when I signed up) and for the last day of February (on which I paid for the month of March, and the "start-up" fee, IN CASH!) Then, she said that the start-up fee was for their "Rewards Program", which was never explained to me at sign-up, which I did not request, and which I was never told was mandatory, and still haven't!!! To sum up - 1. Quoting one price, but billing higher. 2. Equipment which does not work well. 3. Uninformed or unhelpful employees. (Not all of them. Some are very good.) 4. "Management" who don't seem to care about the first three issues at all. I DO NOT RECOMMEND PALM BEACHTAN IN FOLEY, ALABAMA!!! IN FACT, I SUGGEST THAT YOU STAY FAR AWAY!!!

Wow, where do I begin…read more.. I was in Gulf Shores for a bachelorette party this weekend and we had a spa day scheduled here. When we arrived Pam the owner was like a chicken with it's head cut off. She asked all of us to fill out about 15 pages of forms with questions that were in now way relevant to the services- no one needs to know when your last period was to give you a facial. The manicure/pedicures were performed in another building next door. The place was a mess and there is no way the tools were sterilized. I am pretty sure the lady giving the mani/pedis was not a qualified nail tech because she was extremely unprofessional in her demeanor and the results were not good. I had scheduled to get a pedicure but decided to cancel- no way was a paying this lady for anything. My friends who got them really just got terribly executed polish changes. I had a facial scheduled. They only had Pam to do them so she took 2 people in at a time. The products were in totally disarray and the room in no way had a calming feeling. The facial was OK but Pam's talked constantly about totally inappropriate subjects so no relaxation there. Meanwhile, 4-5 others were getting detox foot soaks. Pam's husband/boyfriend Rob was in there the whole time. Weird as he performed no services but Pam said for a little extra he loves to suck toes. This is not a joke, this actually happened. She probably said it cause by that time Pam had hit the wine... Pam then did facials on 2 other girls and while they were in the room one of the steamers actually caught fire. The rest of the girls were in the back in the hot tub so I guess that was a perfect time for Rob to start giving tours. He first brought through a guy with 2 little kids. Not sure why they needed a tour on a day we had booked the spa for only our party. Then Rob brought another of his friends- an older guys who he told us was single- wow, lucky us. By this time Rob was getting really creepy - really, you need to bring single guys on a tour of your day spa while 11 girls are in bathing suits in a hot tub or in robes inside? Some of the towels were just ratty beach towels and they were washed in the laundry with the owner's personal cloths- Rob wear boxer briefs, in case you wanted to know. So the 5-6 of us who had finished our services wanted to pay. Rob said he didn't know how to check us out we had to wait for Pam (who was giving the "fire facials" at the time). I have no idea why that man was there at all. He made some of us (Including myself) extremely uncomfortable, and I let him know that. I also took all the forms with my personal info on them as I did not want those people to have any of it and paid is cash so they didn't even have my credit card info. Paranoid, maybe but I was so uncomfortable by that rime I didn't care. The only good thing about this experience was a masseuse named Brenda who wasn't a full time employee (she was filling in b/c we had a large group). She was amazing and extremely apologetic over the disarray of the spa. My girlfriends and I will have an experience to talk about forever- not because of how relaxing and nice our services were but because no one could make this up. Do not patronize this Spa.

It left my nose somewhat disfigured. It wasn't horrible, but the scarring and damage was enough to put a pretty big dent in my self-esteem. Of course, I am very thankful to have had the cancer removed, but it was tough coming to terms with what I saw in the mirror. I did all of the things I was supposed to do - I used the right silicone, massaged, even had several micro-needling sessions. Nothing really helped. I figured I would just suck it up and try to play with makeup to camouflage it, even though it didn't. Over the course of two years, I became far less social and much shyer. Noting these changes, my family encouraged me to make an appointment for a consultation with Fedok Plastic Surgery. Someone very close to us had been in an accident that damaged her face quite a bit, and Dr. Fedok had been the surgeon that put her back together, so to speak. When she showed me her immediate post-surgery photographs, I couldn't believe it. There were stitches everywhere, yet now her face shows virtually no signs of an accident. It was amazing work, beautifully done. That pushed me off the fence, and I set up the appointment. I am now a few weeks post-surgery, and I feel like I have my life back. I know that sounds dramatic, but I didn't realize how much the disfigurement on my nose had affected me. I have a little ways to go, but I'm stunned at the difference. To say that I'm grateful to Dr. Fedok and his incredible staff is an understatement. They are all wonderful - kind, professional, caring, funny, the list goes on. It was an absolute pleasure (well, as much as something like this can be), and I cannot recommend this practice highly enough. Simply top notch.

Inside the relaxing waiting area where we were served a delicious lunch (made personally by Linda), the ambiance and decor were the perfect precursor to the spa treatments. The personal touches Linda did for my friend were greatly appreciated and made her feel special. When Linda came to bring my friend to the massage room for her facial and massage, I looked through the scrapbook that detailed Linda's interesting life as a masseuse to the stars during her many years in the movie industry. She is also an author, and very interesting to converse with. A very gracious lady, indeed. I also went out into the living area to enjoy the artwork, which is diverse and beautiful. When my friend came out she was a limp noodle! "Massage drunk," is how she put it. She couldn't thank me enough for the experience.
