And I am so glad I did. My grandson who has ADHD, and tends to be very anxious was in need of a haircut. He has been to other salons that he swears has been cut by other barbers. Knowing this, I instructed Selena, his stylist to be cautious when cutting his year old locks. Not only was she gentle, she joked with him and was so good with his anxiety. His cut was excellent. And he even said he loved the new haircut. For someone who does not know the area, I am very pleased to have found this small shop. The owner herself did my hair, and right from the start, it was unprofessional. She didn't even put the drape on me--she told me to do it myself. When I specifically told her that I don't like toner and didn't want it, she pushed it on me anyway. Against my better judgment, I ended up letting her do the toner, and it completely ruined the color I had in mind. Instead of the bright blonde I asked for, the toner made my hair look dull, flat, and ashy. It destroyed the existing blonde I had before and left me feeling so disappointed. When I expressed my concerns, she did not care at all. She didn't offer to fix it, add highlights, or do anything to make it right. Her attitude was dismissive, her energy was bad, and the entire experience felt unprofessional. I left feeling frustrated, unheard, and with hair I absolutely hate. I will never return to this salon, and I do not recommend it to anyone. I'm leaving the blonde picture of my highlights that I always have achieved with other stylist with no toner and the dull toner version from my experience at this salon.

I thought he was joking about being done - I looked like Frankenstein's bride. He wasn't joking. I asked a couple questions and he said "no it's perfect, you're done" and didn't care if I wanted anything different. I was embarrassed walking out of there and even letting the receptionist look at me. Paid for my first ever "curly cut" that turned out to be a trim I could've and should've done myself. He pretty much talked about all the movie sets he worked on, nothing at all about my hair. Mind you, we had 2 hours blocked off and the whole thing took 20 maybe 25 minutes.
