My mother had to stay at Yuba City Post Acute for over a month to recover from a lengthy hospital stay. The staff there were absolutely amazing. They worked with my mother to help her recover quickly. She spoke highly of all the staff she came into contact with. I could tell that they took care of their residents with compassion and empathy. The facility was very clean and mom said the food was good! I would hands down recommend this facility to anyone. read more

Very outdated and dilapidated facility. Window A/C units in the rooms while hallway is hot. Can't imagine what it's like in the summer months here. Bathroom in the patients' rooms are tiny, outdated and only a sliver of a window ledge for you to put your toiletries on. A small shelf would be nice. Some of the TVs in the rooms are so tiny you can't see it well or hear it. No public room for family members to gather for a refreshment while visiting. There's a couple of containers of cool aide or something at nurses' station but tastes terrible and like it came from cheap powder mix. Extremely poor response time when you ring your call light. CNA's are nice but poorly trained and again, very slow to respond, if they do at all. Constant smell of feces and urine. No doubt due to staff being slow to respond, to all the incontinent patients. Don't send your loved one here unless you can stay by their side to ensure they are taken care of. And if you have the free time to do that, they'd be better off in their own home. On a positive note: most of the staff, when you see them, are nice. The PT and OT staff are super nice and professional and do a good job with the limited facility they have to work with. read more

I was sent to post acute after a massive infection and surgery in my knee,I had to have iv antibiotics so I either had to come here or the gardens. I choose here. I am so happy I did, I was planning on staying a few days or until I could get in the car and ride to the infectious disease clinic for my infusins, I was taken such good care of I stayed the whole month. The staff here are awesome, loving and caring. The food has been amazing, I have had an excellent chance to heal here! I would recommend this place to anyone read more

In 2019 my father spent 7 weeks or so here. He had COPD, failing kidneys and only 3 valves working on his heart. Yes, the place is a little depressing, and could it be better? Yes. When my father arrived, he came from 10 days in the ICU. He could not use the restroom and was bedridden using a diaper. He could not walk. In 7 weeks, they gave him physical therapy, 2x a day, most days. When he was discharged, he had dressed himself and walked out the long sidewalk and into the parking lot to my car himself, unaided. YES, he walked without any assistance like he was 10 years younger. Say what you want about this place, but they definitely improved his health. Both my brother and I were nearby so we did check on him daily and communicate often with the staff. Also he was alert, and could eat and drink on his own. Don't get me wrong, he complained plenty about being here, but I think the proof is in his recovery. He went on to live independently for another 9 months, before his health took a final fatal turn again. If it weren't for this place, he would not have made it that long. Most of the staff seem to care, yes, some are better than others. Also, treating the staff well, yields in a better result. They are not paid well, so put into it what you expect to get out of it. read more

My mother stayed at this facility for about 2 years until she passed away recently. The staff was wonderful and very caring to her. She loved it here and the nurses loved her and took very good care of her. i would recommend this facility to anyone wanting a safe and caring place for their loved ones. read more

If you want your loved one to die here please don't send them here. Even though my mom had many illnesses they made her believe that she would be going home they did testing right before she was discharged and they found something wrong with her a week later she passed. My mom would tell me how they would treat her and even though I fought for her it wasn't enough. Hope this places wakes up and starts to care more for the seniors that come to them. If you dont like your job then QUIT!!!!! read more

Very disappointed in this place. Some of the nurses have no professionalism at all. I caught a male CNA/RN acting like he's giving a blow job to his water bottle making other nurses laugh. Meanwhile, my mother is dying in the next room over, and we are having a hard time dealing with what's going on with her. It shows lack of professionalism and compassion. Then they have nurses walking around with hickeys all over their necks. I counted 4 hickeys on one nurse. It's just distasteful, and you cannot take them seriously. I have snuck into my moms room and sat behind the room dividing curtain next to my moms bed. I sat there for 2 hours and not one nurse came to check on my mom. She cannot eat or drink well so she needs to be offered water by straw to her face and not one nurse came in. I have found my mom has fallen out of bed and her wheelchair multiple times. Her stuff gets stolen and given to other patients to use like clothes and blankets. The place is constantly dirty and needs a serious professional cleaning. It reeks of feces and urine. Most days I see the nurses all congregated in their break room. The nurse that does medication gets so stressed out that she creates horrible negative energy and she's very rude. There are maybe 3 nurses that are great and need to be at a better place than this one. Jenna is the only nurse that I trust. Do not place your loved one here! If you do, make sure you visit often to make sure your parent isn't being neglected. read more

This is not a horrible place although it's not the greatest by any means. There is no phones in the rooms for the patients, they receive 2 showers a week and the family is responsible for washing any and all clothing. This place is very crowded and they provide what they must nothing more nothing less. If the family is close by and can come frequently to check on them than maybe not so bad. I would not recommend this place for long-term care if there is not family who is coming frequently I'm afraid the patients would not be taken good care of I mean who would wash their clothing?? I'm not saying the staff is bad, everyone I encountered seemed very pleasant it's just not where you would want your loved one sent who would not be cared after by loved ones daily. I also can say the televisions are the smallest I have ever seen, there is no way someone could even watch them way smaller than even a computer monitor. Also, apparently items get stolen frequently as well. The facility does NOT look like the pictures either. read more
