Don't feed them, and pet them at your own risk. This park also has its own garden. Full of peppers and cucumbers and eggplant. They also have their own being a sanctuary for making honey. When they harvest they bring it to the farmers market on Thursdays between 7 AM and 1 PM. This park also has its own pond with the fountain and a sidewalk that goes all the way around for a walking path. This park also has frisbee golf. This park also has dog parks this park also has a driving range. This is all one block from my house. Oh my goodness, I am almost forgot, they have a stage too. I believe this year they're also going to host movies in the park. I'm very excited for this summer and what the park has to offer.

We live in walking distance and can't enjoy the park because children dropped off, nobody watches them, some parents sit at tables and don't watch their kids. This is another large park in Beverly. It is named for Amy L. Barnard, the daughter of the man who…read moredonated the land for the park (back in the day, 1902). Once upon a time there were tennis courts and a wading pool, and the park would be flooded in winter for ice skating. The wading pool and whatnot was demolished, however, by the late 60s, and the park is no longer used as a skating rink (though once it welcomed up to 5,000 people). There are few benches in the park as well, and I'm sure it would be a nice little place to take a walk and do some people-watching in the warmer weather months, as well as have a picnic. There is area for folks to play baseball and soccer, too. Barnard Park is probably fifty percent larger than nearby Hurley Park, and it too is located very near a Rock Island Metra station; the 103rd Street Station is less than a block away. There is a play lot in addition to the large grassy park. The play lot takes up not a lot of space in the overall area of the park. The play lot is an engineered wood surface, not a soft-surface playground, but it is accessible. However, there do not appear to be bathroom facilities at this park.

As Susan says, two of the things I love most about the park are the "Play for Maeve" foundation and the Kevin Dowling scoreboard. They now have a memorial to fallen Marine Conner Lowry, who was killed in Afghanistan in 2012.

The northeast baseball diamond has lights which EPBC uses (may have flipped the bill, not sure though) for night baseball games. Restrooms are available and are relatively clean. Parking is available on 92nd Street. This is another fine park offered by Evergreen Park. It lies in a quiet, drama free, pocket of the village.

What a nice County park in the city of Chicago. This is a large park, and has portions on both…read moresides of 87th Street. South of 87th Street you enter the parking lot at about 88th Street on Western Avenue ... north of 87th Street you enter the parking lot right on 87th Street just east of Western. The north portion runs all the way down to the train tracks at about 83rd Street, about four blocks. The south portion runs up to 90th Street and partially - on the east side - over to about 91st Street. Either way you are in for a treat. This expansive park has loads of room to spread out, whether a summer picnic group or a small family gathering with a cookout. In fact, during the pandemic, just visiting and sitting in the parking lot with your friends in lawn chairs is a way to keep active socially. There are a couple of shelters on each side of the park, but these undoubtedly require reservations. There is enough room for a pickup family flag-football game. The south section is mostly flat, while the north end is hilly, and they used to have toboggan slides there. The parking lots also hold scores of cars. Give this place a try and you'll enjoy.

We have never had an issue at the park thankfully and we will continue to visit the park in the future
