Centennial Park in Orland Park consist of soccer fields, baseball fields, softball fields, a wonderful park or all kids, the Orland park pool, walking/running trails, batting cages, a dog park, a stage, and an outdoor ice rink. It is truly an amazing place weather you are the for sports, to go on a walk or run, to skate during the winter season, to boat or fish in the lake, swim during a hot day, watch a concert, or take your kids to the wonderful park. I would totally recommend this complex for all listed things I can think of. read more

This is a lovely little park! Came here to watch our son's baseball game on a very chilly April day. My daughter loved the playground (spent a long time exploring). It has separate playgrounds for little and big kids. The baseball fields are well kept (there are elevated bleachers to sit on). There is also a concession stand (wasn't open unfortunately for this game) and indoor bathrooms (husband says the sinks are operated with your feet and have nice hot water). Nice walking paths too. Looking forward to coming back in summer to try the water park! read more

It includes 9 baseball/softball fields differentiated for the various age groups, also 8 soccer fields, and many walking and bike trails throughout the almost 200 acres of grounds. One will also find Bean Bag Boards, Boating, Kayak/Pedal Boat Rental, a Dog Park, Drinking Fountain, Fishing, Horseshoes, Ice Skating Pavilion, Picnic Grills, Playground, Skate Park, Sledding Hill, Volleyball, and a Water Park. This review is specifically addressed to the bike and walking trails ... such as the Humphrey Bike Trail. The bike and walking paths can be accessed either through the main entrance at 15600 West Avenue (they have parking lots) or over on the west side through the 153rd Street Metra station parking lots (where parking is very easy in the off hours). We usually go in through the Metra station lots after dinner when the lots are empty. The bike and walking trails are beautifully kept and spacious. They also have a number of different paths to vary the scenery. Bring your bike or your walking shoes, and these trails are easily wandered with baby carriages. Give this place a try. read more

This is such a great park area! When I was growing up, this area was rather small and undeveloped. We mostly just came here for the pool during the summertime. On a very still and quiet night, we could hear the sound of the train from miles away as it passed on its journey through the town. I'm so happy that this place has grown into sports fields, jogging tracks, a commuter station, a dog park, and more. I got to visit a few times on my last trip and I took advantage of all the pathways for walking and running. The huge trees provide shade for most of the way and the majority of the pathways are pretty smooth. There were so many families there for sports and outings. All the fields look very well maintained and I'm sure this is a popular place for local practices and patches. The dog park looked like it was very popular, too. There were lots of happy doggies running about in the designated area. I'll definitely return here for my next visit! read more

Wow. I am blown away by all this park has to offer - with no admission fee! I was looking for a place close to home-ish to walk my dog. We sometimes get bored with the neighborhood and the trails in the forest preserves can be muddy. Well we found a new place to walk - Centennial Park! Located in Orland, west of LaGrange Road at about 153rd Street is a huge park with a lake, trails, pathways a playground and free ice skating. Seriously! Oh and yes the parking is free too. Lake Sedgwick has all kinds of gravel trails with nice scenery and even some gazebos for hanging out, and some piers for fishing. I wish the path went all around the lake, maybe someday it will. The asphalt trails (which will be too hot for the dog' s feet in summer) go all over the park, to the west of the Metra Station and around. There is a large playground that looks pretty clean and new. There is FREE ice skating! As in no charge. Open til 9pm most nights. The warming house looks adorable. Not sure if they rent skates or you bring your own. Tons of sports fields, but they look like they must be registered/reserved thru the park district. Lots of trash cans, which probably add to the cleanliness factor of the park and trails. read more

But the pool is way too expensive for non-residence and why would you raise it a dollar on a Friday, $25 during the week 26 on Friday a bit ridiculous it was a lot of fun but I won't be back. Parking is a nightmare! A beautiful park for softball, baseball, and soccer. Dugouts do not have roofs- so, bring a tarp for your team. Not all fields have scoreboards. Metal bleachers for spectators but room to bring your own chairs. Flushing toilets are a plus! Beautiful park with a water park nearby. read more

The weather was rather chilly today which took away from the enjoyment of the park a bit, but overall, the experience was still very nice. The park was very beautiful, especially the water and the bridges. I'd go again if I was given the option (especially if it was during the summer). read more

Amazing park! We use the lake area which has great grass area to play, water , trees, beautiful nature to look at. It's so perfect I'm starting a Tinkergarten there in January 2020 so it is really a very nice space to be in. There is also a child's playground in the middle of baseball field. There's also soccer fields and a water park nearby but we just go for the nature. read more

Approximately 3 1/2 years after first spotting the ice skating rink here, we finally came to check it out, a brand-new ice skater, aged 8, with us. It really is a great park, and the ice rink is a great, inexpensive way to spend an afternoon. Here's the downlow: - It's totally free to skate, and there is ample parking, staff on hand and plenty of benches. - Skate rentals are $2 each, not limited to Orland Park residents. You just have to hand over a photo ID while you're there. They also rent helmets for free for little kiddies. - There is a smallish warming hut/rental center with benches to thaw out on, and cubbies to stash your shoes in. - Bring your own Kleenex, hot chocolate in a thermos, etc. I believe there are bathroom facilities nearby. We had a great time, and you can't beat the price. The rink isn't huge, but it's a pretty good size and well-maintained. They pipe in top 40 hits for a little ambiance, and they have some special events such as campfires on weekend nights. Basically, Centennial is everything you want in a park. I definitely suggest checking it out if you're in the area. read more

Perfect setting for ages 12 and under because there are a few splash pools, water slides and several areas to picnic or host birthday parties. This pool is heavily guarded with certified lifeguards at and around each area of water. So, parents can have a peace of mind knowing their kids are safe while they lounge about on the comfortable lounge chairs. It's a perfect place to bring your swimmer-in-training to splish and splash. This water park provides sunblock, lockers, and concession services to boot. If you are from Orland ticket prices is a reasonable $4, however, if you are from any other area you pay $14. A bit steep. But, your kids will stop annoying you for several hours. The peace and quiet may be worth the money. read more

This review is for the aquatic center/waterpark. Went here on a summer Friday with my husband. Toddler was dropped off at daycare so we could have a little bit of fun without having to watch him like a hawk. We are not residents of Orland but willingly forked over the $14 for admission. I was quite impressed with this place overall. The staff was friendly. The locker room was large and clean. The showers were warm (dare I say, hot). There was plenty of seating as long as you didn't mind being in the sun (duh). The water was clean and the temperature was perfect. We didn't wait more than 5 minutes for the bigger slides. There's a good variety of slides for all ages, and even a platform to jump off of. We really enjoyed ourselves and look forward to going back next summer. read more

Beautiful water park. Great for all ages. Love the fact that I can take my own food to have a picnic after having fun on the slides and the pool. It has about 6 waterslides that my kids absolutely love. Also you can have parties there. I have been going there for years and will continue to go!! Definitely recommend this place read more

Took the kids to the pool today we have a seasons pass. Very friendly staff and the pools are very clean. I love that I can bring in my own food (no glass allowed!) so I don't spend so much at the snack booth. Life guards are very friendly and keep the rift raft to a minimum which is nice considering I have two small children! read more

Nice water park. I can understand yet can't believe the admission has doubled in the past 8 years and no longer are non residents allowed an after 4pm discount. I get it, it's to keep control of the age of audience. Positives, family changing rooms. Negatives, food. Limited to fried garbage, no sandwiches, no gluten free options. Soggy thick pizza? Do you order from little Caesars? Your better off with a frozen Tony's. Positive - byos, bring your own snacks. Negative - a Saterday mid afternoon, exercise on a busy weekend and you sink a baby doll down into the splash pad area? Have you lost your mind? The guards didn't even call a "pool break" out. Parents and kids are freaking out. Wtf is your problem? That is traumatic. Have you ever been to the funeral of a drown baby? Not an experience to utilize as a conversation starter. My bf in college lost her 2 year old nephew due to a gate left down. Several of us complained and left. That was so uncool and after 14 years of business and memberships, I will change our renewal. When inviting friends from out of town, the recent change in policy, 3 or 5 hours if the park is forced to close no rain check at $14 a head x 6. Too big for your britches. The fun here amongst local community and staff has been lauded to rest. read more

I am writing to complain about the company Centennial Pool.Last weekend, my family and I were very excited to visit your park. However, once we got there a lot of things have disappointed us. Last year I purchased 7 tickets for the total of $98.00 on July 23rd, 2016 shortly after purchasing those tickets about 10 minutes later we were asked to leave as well as everyone in the park because a storm was headed that way. I was given a rain check to come back within a year because there are no cash refunds which was stated on the receipt. I wasn't happy about that, but I had to accept that because it was printed on the receipt. I was told that this rain check was good for one year. So on July 15th,2017 I decided to use my raincheck. My family and I drove 50 mins away to come to find out that we weren't able to use the rain check because it wasn't an original copy.Yes, I took a copy of the original receipt and saved it because I knew in a year It would be damaged so I had saved it to my google docs.I printed out the copy of the receipt and handed it to the manager at the desk for that evening by the name of Brittany Jadin, I was told that I couldn't use it because it was a copy and because there's no way to find out in their system if someone else had used it. Firstly as a business, I would like to think that on the receipt theirs a code to see if anyone had used it. So I was declined services in the count that It was a copy.On that receipt, the date of the purchase was July 23rd, 2016 and the rain check expiration date was Sep 7, 2015. I don't have any money to just throw away. This was a misprint from the company. So why should I lose my money? Why have I been declined services? The world we live in now is computer savvy. Technology is the key. There should be a way to look in the system with the receipt code to see if anyone had used the code, then as a customer, I am at fault because the expiration date is incorrect. I think not. I also have spoken to Caroline H. and Ray P. the recreational Division manager and nothing was done. I want my money back!! I don't want to go back there. read more

This is one of the best fests held every year, Orland Fest, held in the area of Centennial Park. The fest is on the grounds of the town hall area with grassy areas for sitting on picnic tables or spreading out your blanket to listen to the many performers such as American English, a Beatles group that packs them in every year. There are country and western bands, rock bands etc. Now about the food...many restaurants from the Orland area put up their tents and you can find any thing from burgers, Mexican food, ice cream, beer stands, grilled corn, the list is endless with so many more choices. Parking is free, if you are drinking margaritas or beer, you must be 21 and get a wrist band. Families come out every year, it is like a family reunion seeing huge parties held by visitors listening to the music also viewing the vintage cars that are there every year. The kids have their own play area and there is also a battle of the bands that is held for those that are amateur's. Tents put up all over the park with freebies from the different companies that are from the area and also those from other area's. If you cannot have a good time here, you will not ever have a good time. Big fourth of July celebration with fireworks, free, bring a fishing pole and try to catch at Lake Sedgwick, free. Take the walking trails around the lake that are available. Bring your suits and swim the afternoon away after you visit to the fest, yes, there is a fee for visitors, huge aquatic center. Free is the key word here, no charge for admission or to park. Parking is hard to find at times but there are areas available thru out the area provided by Orland who may lease out space for this occasion. Follow the signs that are placed on different streets in the Orland area. Enjoy this wonderful park. read more
