Their sandwiches are HUGE and are served on traditional Jewish brioche-like buns with poppy seeds and sautéed onions. Delish! This is a really a meat lovers spot, their pastrami and other sliced meats are the star of the show as well as their giant burgers. They have a very bustling restaurant that gets packed at lunch time but you can also order to go. On a recent visit to the hood, I ordered one 11€50 pastrami sandwich+soft+dessert combo and also picked up some of their fabulous roasted turkey and some homemade Shabbat meat patties for dinner that night. If you find yourself in this part of town definitely head to Chez Victor for a true taste of Jewish deliciousness!

Actually, there are two lines, one for take away (on the left) and one for sit down. Both lines are just as long, but the take away moves much faster. Fairly organized. For the take away side, an employee takes orders while you wait in line, to expedite the process. (If you are from CA, think of an In and Out burger drive thru business model). Overall the food is good and reasonably priced. And great advertising seeing everyone walk around with your "sandwiches." Ambiance - Crazy busy. Both inside and outside. We were a party of 2 adults and 4 children. The children were not excited about anything on the menu as they didn't have any kid friendly options. So we ordered 2 entrees and 2 appetizers and 2 glasses of wine to start with and would order more if the kids liked the dishes. This would have amounted to roughly 150 Euro. The restaurant was not busy there were many empty tables. The waiter states "I don't know if I can serve you guys...that isn't enough food you are ordering for 6 people" we were shocked. He proceeded to talk to the owner. Then the owner came to our table and told us he could not serve us we had to order more food. There is no way I would support such a business with such rude customer service especially amongst our community to treat someone like that, knowing we are foreigners is so rude. We happily got up and left. Luckily we ran into a religious couple that told us to go to Bassar, which had amazing food, amazing ambience great service and not a single empty table in the house. It was bustling. And the food was so good we wound up ordering 6 entrees and 3 appetizers and wine. Dont waste your time and money at Kavod. Poor service depressing atmosphere.
