Wonderful breakfast to start our day or touring Paris. Latkes were a highlight as well as the kachapuri fromage with spinach.

Jewish Medi bakery. Get anything with nuts in it. Or the strudel squares ....or the large big cloud meringues that are so popular here. I spot them everywhere I go!

Pastries. The best strudel pavot and pomme

Friendly place, family oriented, recommend the Babka au Chocolat, the Pain au Chocolat was dry and had little chocolate inside.

Our waiter was so kind. Patient as he had to explain the menu choices to us as no English (or Hebrew) menus were available. At first, my hubby was going to take the sabich but our waiter recommended the mini pita boeuf bourguignon instead. What a great choice. The beef was so tender in a delicious sauce. For me, I chose the filet daurade sauce Vierde. The fish was amazing. Loved the sauce and the pomegranates and vegetables that complimented the fish. Paired with the most delicious salad and some grilled vegetables, it was just perfect. The salad had beets, carrots and celery with pomegranates. The veggies were so thinly cut almost like an angel hair pasta. The dressing was addictive. They should bottle and sell their salad dressing. With a couple of bottles of Pellegrino, a delicious dinner for two came to about 50 euros. Highly recommend this restaurant. Check the address, it may have moved to 70 Avenue de Villiers.

When we stumbled upon Doron Ba Laila, we walked in because the ambience looked nice. The waitress was so nice and even spoke some English. She helped us by picking the top favorites. The food was by far the most amazing meal we have had in Paris. The restaurant was playing every Israeli song we knew and felt like we were surrounded by a room full of very nice Jewish people and felt like home! Thank you Doron Ba Laila for some amazing food! We had the chicken wings with turmeric, and the beef with the creamy potatoes. Both really amazing!

We knew we…read moreweren't relegated to bistros, brasseries, and boulangeries for our culinary choices, especially in a neighborhood as culturally diverse as Le Marais. That's what drew us to the fresh Israeli fare at this casual cafe. At around 7PM, the place was hopping because there were quite a few people not only dining but also waiting for takeout orders. We planted ourselves at the counter facing the busy prep area where the staff was assembling plates and pitas. We decided to share the 7,50€ Green Beans which looked to be quickly sautéed in lemon, garlic, and olive oil to a fresh, tasty snap (Photo 10). Jamie ordered the 13€ Golden Ratatouille, a healthy melange of eggplant, tomato, zucchini, carrot, and onion mixed in their house tomato sauce with a nice side of hard-boiled egg and tahini (Photo 8). Well, I thought one of us should try their specialty pita sandwiches, so I went with the 13€ Lamb Kebab. It was delicious with big lamb and beef meatballs peeking out of a nice fluffy pita stuffed with red onions and chopped cilantro, mint, and green onions. It was slathered liberally with tahini and their housemade spicy sauce (Photo 9). It was just the Middle Eastern meal we were hankering for. We can have escargots and croissants some other time. FOOD - 4 stars...big pita, saucy ratatouille AMBIANCE - 4 stars...kinda chaotic but comfortable SERVICE - 3.5 stars...pretty fast TOTAL - 4 stars...a fine Israeli option in Le Marais RELATED - Exploring Paris? I want to like Miznon more than I actually do. I love the gimmick of full roasted vegetables…read morewithout any seasoning, allowing the diner to doctor to taste. The cauliflower and sweet potato are visually stunning and well-roasted, but ultimately the condiments the restaurant offers don't compensate for the neutral preparation. Even tomato sauce, hot sauce and salt together couldn't coat the cauliflower in a satisfying way. When the vegetable is cooked with the idea of its being a blank canvas, it can't be retroactively perfected. Table salt should be a garnish, not the savior of a meal. The sweet potato fares better since I could mainline that vegetable, but if a roast sweet potato is that good without any seasoning, there's no reason to pay a restaurant premium for one. I am not trying to denigrate the concept of Miznon, because to do so would be to miss the point, but I would argue that I only ever need to experience Miznon once for novelty and then can move on to genuine meals at restaurants that justify the cost of dining out.

We were a party of 2 adults and 4 children. The children were not excited about anything on the menu as they didn't have any kid friendly options. So we ordered 2 entrees and 2 appetizers and 2 glasses of wine to start with and would order more if the kids liked the dishes. This would have amounted to roughly 150 Euro. The restaurant was not busy there were many empty tables. The waiter states "I don't know if I can serve you guys...that isn't enough food you are ordering for 6 people" we were shocked. He proceeded to talk to the owner. Then the owner came to our table and told us he could not serve us we had to order more food. There is no way I would support such a business with such rude customer service especially amongst our community to treat someone like that, knowing we are foreigners is so rude. We happily got up and left. Luckily we ran into a religious couple that told us to go to Bassar, which had amazing food, amazing ambience great service and not a single empty table in the house. It was bustling. And the food was so good we wound up ordering 6 entrees and 3 appetizers and wine. Dont waste your time and money at Kavod. Poor service depressing atmosphere. There are better kosher steakhouses in Paris.

Missing pictures…read more... Quality/Quantity - Just follow the line. Just look for the longest and busiest line and it will be there. Actually, there are two lines, one for take away (on the left) and one for sit down. Both lines are just as long, but the take away moves much faster. Fairly organized. For the take away side, an employee takes orders while you wait in line, to expedite the process. (If you are from CA, think of an In and Out burger drive thru business model). Overall the food is good and reasonably priced. And great advertising seeing everyone walk around with your "sandwiches." Ambiance - Crazy busy. Both inside and outside. But plenty of employees (again both inside and outside). Fairly organized considering the volume. Service - Good. Price - Reasonable.10-15 Euros for a pita sandwich. $11.60 to $17.50 US. Owner Comment - Congrats on all your success since 1978.

On first pass, there was a line at the take-out window. When I returned to dine in, there was a rather significant line there as well. My party of 2 was apparently the magic number because they had us stand in the front of the line and we were seated inside almost immediately. The food here is served so rapidly that I seriously doubt anyone needs to wait long as there's a constant turning of tables. Schwarma and Fallafel and whatever else we consumed here was so fresh, delicious, and satisfying that I tried coming back here again the night before leaving Paris. Unfortunately for me, they close early on Shabbat, so I had to be satisfied with my single visit. Outstanding experience, delicious food as over 2,000 reviews already attested to.
