WOULD NOT RECOMMEND - Called Z&A Custom Painting and the owner said he would quote me $30,000 to paint a small 1,000 square foot - 3 bedroom house. He then began to belittle me on the phone saying that this project is nothing for him and he only paints Malls and large buildings he called me multiple curse words and when I asked him why he was being so rude he said that this small job is a waste of his time, all we did was asking for a quote and offer him a job and he went full psycho mode. ***EDIT Owner commented saying we owe him $30,000, we never started the project, we would not do business with a unprofessional and disrespectful person, on top of the insane prices. Isidro is punctual and presents himself very professionally with a formal estimate and contract. He gladly accepted add-on requests when we found some damage. He does very well with exterior but misses on the details interiorly. Even when I took pictures to correct errors, many didn't get fixed. His workers are messy and paint dropped everywhere. It was definitely not turn-key as I am still replacing things to the correct place. read more

I must say Z&A came through for me. I asked and they delivered!! The owner was on the job immediately and practiced safety measures due to COVID 19. I'm so pleased with the exterior paint job and the quality work is Beautiful. The funny part of my journey is I reached out to Z&A 1st and decided to go with another painter and he was so unprofessional and took my money and didn't complete the job. I had to call Izzy back and he fixed what the prior painter started and completed all in 3 days. He sent pictures to show me he had started and he had completed the jo. I'm not locally in town so I had to trust him and he made sure I did. I've had so many people call me to tell me he did an amazing job and my home is the best looking one on street. We contracted Z & A Custom Painting for an $18,000 interior paint job! The owner looked us straight in the eye and said "I will do a good job for you" AND SHOOK MY HAND! His contract stated that he would sand and prime our home, especially the extensive custom millwork. He even charged us extra for primer. Everything was detailed on the executed contract. He painted latex paint over oil based paint, did not prime, and did not sand ANYWHERE! Other painting contractors that quoted repairs said it was a lack of experience, knowledge and skills based upon the poor work. Latex over oil without proper prep is basic knowledge that any professional painter should have. He said he primed and painted but we can pull paint off of doors and cabinets in sheets and obviously see it was not. He even painted over painters tape on the walls. Painted all the bronze architectural hardware on the doors, painted all drawer rollers to the point they are unusable and did not removed any shelves to paint in cabinets so when you move the shelving to a different level, you have old paint. It will cost us over $29,000 to repair and repaint. We took him to court, won the settlement and he still did not come through with the payment after multiple promises. If you are considering Z & A, ask him if he has any outstanding judgements that he has not made whole. Do NOT trust anything he tells you and be aware that he does not mind if he leaves you at a loss because he has no financial responsibility or means of settling any claims. I would not trust him to paint a doghouse. BEWARE! If you want pictures, I have over 200! read more
