I was in town over the holidays and needed a manicure badly. Growing up in Zanesville, I had heard about Z Nails so after checking out their Yelp page, I decided to attempt to snag a walk-in appointment. My hopes weren't too high because Christmas was only a few days away. However, they were thankfully able to fit me in after a short 30 minute wait, which I spent at the mall across the street until they called to let me know they were ready for me. Needless to say, the customer service was top notch and I can say that continued throughout my entire visit. While the inside is far from glitz and glamor, the end product was awesome and still, three weeks later, my nails look fire. I was pleasantly surprised at how affordable the gel nail service with cat eye polish was... around $30. In Columbus where I live, it is almost always double that. I'll definitely consider coming back here whenever I find myself in Zanesville again needing a manicure. The only bit of feedback I have is that it wasn't the cleanest nail salon by any means. A good cleaning, a fresh coat of paint, and some updated furniture would set this spot apart from the others in town. read more

I went in for an acrylic removal and walked out in tears. Instead of soaking my nails in cotton and acetone, they pulled my acrylics off with a nail clipper. They also used a nail tip from their counter as a tool to continue removing my acrylics. This ended up ripping my natural nail layers off leaving severe redness and aching. After multiple attempts of telling them I was in pain they continued the process of ripping and pulling them off. This took about 30 minutes. It could have taken the same amount of time, or even less, to remove them in the correct and safe manner. I am very disappointed. My natural nails are now extremely sensitive to hot and cold temperatures, and continue to ache even over 5 hours after my appointment. Beyond the pain, I am further upset that I will now have to wait until my nails grow back enough to have them done again. The cherry on top was when they told me my nails were being a "pain in the ass"... they sure have been ever since they tore the acrylics off. I truly wish I had the courage to get up and leave after they removed the first nail. read more

Disappointed & confused. I made my appointment with the to put Tips & Dip on my nails. When I got there the owner had someone else do my nails. Turns out the person that did my nails did not know what she was doing and made a mess out of my nails. I ended up cutting my nails off. It was a big waste of money. Twee does AMAZING dip powder nails. I was really impressed with his artistry as he took very good care of my nails and applied the dip So perfect. He layed it on in carefully skilled layers. I've been getting dip powder at many places on the west coast, and Twee is one of two top nail artists I've Ever experienced before. While visiting Ohio on a trip, I did an extensive Yelpy search to find dip powder in Zanesville. I called around to each salon and finally found the one & only nail salon that does dip, so of course I had to schedule an appointment asap. At 1st thought, I wasn't sure what to expect but I was blown away at the skills here. Twee is the only person in Zanesville that I could find that does dip, and he is ridiculously talented and extremely detailed in his work. read more

I've only been here 3 times and the technicians always did a great job on my pedicures. Just beware - they charge an EXTRA $20 for gel. So you might be paying $60+ for a basic pedicure. Also I never got the technician requested when I booked the appointment, which I thought was weird. But never cared enough to inquire about because they all did such good work. read more

Been at this location 3 times for myself and daughter to get nails done. Although the techs are good and a great atmosphere, we will not go back. First concern is when my daughter got a full set and I got a fill and they charged us both the same price. Exact same design and nails for both of us. 2nd concern came just before Christmas ( 12/23). We made our appointment and had to cancel because of a family extreme emergency. Canceled at 10 am and appointments were for 230 and 300. Plenty of time to fill spots by appointment or walk in's. My card got charged 40.00 My daughter called and she was told that the money would be returned to card within 2 business days. I called on the 29th as nothing returned to card. Was told by a very arrogant man that it would not be returned and no one there said that to us. Was told policy is 24 hour notice. Wow. Guess an emergency needs to let me know 24 hours in advance. This is the second time I have been there. I will not return. The gentleman is very curt and condescending. He hurries on your nails and as a result I have a gel nail that is peeling at the top after not even 24 hours. This happened the first time and I just thought it a fluke. I would rather pay a little more and have the technician take a little more time and care with my nails. You just feel absolutely rushed.
