It has been almost a year since we hired Zach's Tree Service to remove a large tree of ours. We are still dealing with the aftermath of fixing our lawn. Removing the tree was not the issue we had with this company. Our issue was how our lawn was treated during and afterwards, and how rude and unprofessional they were. They initially began the removal by using mats on the ground but I guess I done point they gave up on using those and decided to drive across the lawn with their almost 11,000 lb Caterpillar which completely destroyed the yard. After they left the first day the crew left multiple water bottles and trash in our yard as well. When the job was finally completed they left that same 11,000 lb piece of equipment on the lawn for 5 whole days which during that time it also rained heavily. We called daily to get them to remove it. I would not recommend, or use this company again. read more

Zacks tree service cut my tree down in February and said they had to repair their grinder and would be back to finish the job. It's August and they still haven't completed the job and now say they can't grind down the stump because their equipment is either still broken or broken again. They are refunding the money for the stump grinding but I would have preferred to have the stump removed. Very disappointing. 2 stars for the runaround about grinding the stump read more

Excellent affordable tree service. Needed to have a tree cut down and removed. Zack's was in the neighborhood doing another job. We asked if they were interested in helping us out: gave us a quote on the spot, and within 1/2 hour of completing the neighbors job, our large tree was cut down to the ground and everything was chipped into their truck. They cleaned up the area and gave us a quote to grind the stump within a couple of weeks. Came back timely to grind the stump...did an excellent job of grinding out the main stump and large branching roots. read more

Did a good job, took down 1 tree that was rotten and trimmed 4 others at a fair price, cleaned up area nicely. Only reason I didn't give them 5 stars was their machine had stabilizer legs and ground was soft and it left hole all over the yard where the machine would setup, I'll have to fill holes up in spring because someone could get foot caught and sprain/break an ankle (wish they would have just put some boards underneath legs) read more

My elderly mother-in-law had a part of a huge tree come down in her front yard and she hired this guys to remove the tree and grind the stump. They did a good job removing the tree. The problem was the stump grinding. They never removed the grindings and more importantly missed 1/4 of the huge stump. After about 5 or 6 calls from my mother-in-law complaining over a 5 week period they finally called back. They came back out to grind the remaining stump. But the STILL left part of the stump behind. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!!! I feel they totally took advantage of my mother-in-law. read more

Completely ripped us off on a tree job at a relative's house. They are disrespectful and lied to me. Do not hire these people.

This company has NO RESPECT for anyone. They came at 6:45am in the morning the day after Christmas to cut tree's down next door to my house....The noise was VERY LOUD and woke up everyone in the house...my 3 aging parents that are 84 years old. My whole family which was my three adult daughters, me and my husband. They throw there garbage all over my house, coffee cups and soda bottles...were extremely rude to my neighbors and told them to move there cars off there own property and then placed all the limbs of the trees in her driveway where she couldn't go in and out...VERY DESRESPECTFUL...you should have given the neighborhood a heads up that you needed to start at 6:45AM the day after Christmas....NOT A GOOD BUSINESS DECISION. YOUR BUSINESS GETS A FAIL FROM THE NEIGHBORHOOD....AWFUL WAY TO DO BUSINESS, NEXT TIME HAVE RESPECT FOR OTHER PEOPLE BEFORE YOU START. read more

Hi I just want to say something about this tree service, well they showed up this morning by my house where they were doing work at my neighbors place, they showed up with loud equipment, talking loud wasn't even 7am, the guy that drives the big truck with the chipper has a big mouth he just yelled all the time at his employees. He is very disrespectful to people. He fights with people on job sites with a lot of language it was horrible unnecessary and that's how u run a business .I know I wont call them for any service, also I never seen a guy yell at a girl that works for that tree company as much as he does. I guess if u need tree work done hire the right people for the job and pay the price and not hire these clowns. I feel sorry for the employees. read more

Zach"s Tree Service was here today to remove a gigantic dead red oak that was hanging over our home. From the first phone call to Lindsey and the following visit from Zach to survey the situation and quote, it could not have gone smoother. They arrived on time and set out to work like a well oiled machine. The entire crew was professional and friendly. Zach stayed on the job and jumped right in. And those guys can CLIMB SOME TREES! Exceptionally reasonable on price but must be prepared for scheduling delays. Zack runs the operation and his wife is who you will most likely schedule the appraisal and service appointment. The only advice I have for the customer and feedback I have for Zack's Tree Service is with the great value in price, they are going to be overwhelmed with requests. My experience was from the difficult part of scheduling since that they rarely answered the phone, but they did text during evening hours and our best response was through Facebook. Both Zack and his wife did explain that this was due to them being on the job during the day which was a fair reason. We scheduled in late March and the timeline was set for mid to late May, but they did say they were very busy due to their large workload for spring. We never heard back and contacted them again in early June with a 6/18, appointment. I took the day off from work, but they never arrived so we contacted them, and Zack explained it was too rainy for them to operate. Understanding the issue, we rescheduled for 6/29, but they once again were a no show and it was not until we contacted them again to find out they were having equipment issues and Zack was not working that day along with us being told we should have been notified. I cannot speak on the quality of work but based on their reviews and high workload, they must be pretty good. However, I can speak on their customer service since I went from late March to late June planning, scheduling, and patiently waiting for a promised service that was never delivered. This experience was not what I expected and with me being an expecting father any day now, there is no way I can postpone any further. I will most likely have to wait until next year to have the tree and stumps removed. Honestly, this is only one customer experience but taking out the uncontrollable weather or equipment setbacks, the controllable lack of communication was what lost my confidence in Zack's Tree Service. read more

We hired Zack's Tree Service for a large tree that was on our property line and growing into our neighbor's fence. They answered the phone the first time I called. Very professional. They gave a quote in a few days, and were out to remove the tree shortly afterward. They did an EXCELLENT job!! Cleaned up after themselves, the property is beautiful and clean. The owner, Elmer, was a different person from when he gave the estimate (friendly, chatty) to the day the crew finally arrived to do the job (rushed, rude). We had a branch on a power line at a residence I care for, which I thought would have been treated with more urgency. There was also a branch over the neighbor's property. I made the initial call on 5/28/19 but the work was not done until 7/18/19. The job was rescheduled several times: Rain (understood). Truck broke down (happens, but not "reliable") - they did not call until they returned my call much later in the day. When they did not call to reschedule when they said they would, I called again. I was told that since the truck was still in the shop, they would climb the tree to trimit. So we planned for that, but they were a no-show again. This time when I called them, I was told the tools were in the truck, which was still in the shop. Finally they rescheduled, but were a no-show once more. When I called, the husband and wife each thought the other called. No apology when I called. Elmer simply told me it was the next day (which it was not). Each time, I drove to this property to meet them at 7am and was embarrassed to tell the neighbor of the change of plans over and over. The day the crew arrived, it took them just 30 minutes. They did not trim the branch that is leaning on the gazebo, which Elmer initially said he would do. If you hire him, get specifics in writing. Then I reminded him that he was going to clean out the gutters on the garage since they were clogged with tree debris. This was at his suggestion the day of the estimate. He acted surprised but I insisted. He told me he did not have a ladder, which is ironic since they are a tree service. I offered the home's ladder which he left messy, as well as the landscaping, patio and garage walls. The crew used the home's hose with little effort and left the hose unwound. They moved the patio furniture but did not return it to its place. This service was disrespectful and unprofessional. read more

Zack's Tree Service just finished a pretty large job at my house. They were totally professional. Their prices were excellent, they showed up when they told us they would and they were efficient. They did exactly what we agreed upon for the agreed upon price (no surprises or additional costs). In addition, they left the yard in excellent condition. Zack came and gave a verbal estimate but wouldn't write it down. While I was skeptical I used him because the price seemed fair. I had to call several times for them to finally call back and give me a date that he would actually show up. They came cut the trees down and I asked for some logs, but instead they chipped them all up. Their mistake and zack said he'll get me some from his next job, I'm still waiting for my logs over a month later. Oh, and as part of cutting the trees down they were supposed to grind the stumps. They couldn't do it the same day because their grinder was broken or something. Again after several calls they finally returned about 2 weeks later to grind the stumps, I couldn't be there and it seemed like a simple task, see stump grind stump, except they forgot to grind one stump. They already have my money, my bad I shouldn't have paid them until the job was done. So I didn't get my logs as promised and they never completed the job. My suggestions, use someone else. read more
