The profiterole dessert was the saving grace. They were delicious and completely worth their $12 price tag. The wait staff were pleasant and courteous, and the restaurant interior was inviting. As a vegetarian, my choice is limited, however I went with the vegetarian and what I got wasn't so much a vegetable pizza, more of an onion and capsicum pizza. With very little cheese on top, and an overdose of onions, the pizza wasn't very appetizing. With about 10 pizza shops in Boronia and surrounds, I choose to go elsewhere these days, however they must be doing something that the meat eaters are liking.

The lasagne was overpowered by tomato, too rich yet somehow still managed to be plain. And then with cans of soft drink at $4, just not right. However there were some great aspects, specifically everything to do with the wait staff. They were personable and super friendly. The food took a while to be prepared, but when it was ready it was at our table in no time. We have visited La Lupa many times in the past 7-8 years. The first time we were gobsmacked about how great it is. But now everytime we visit, the food we eat declines in quality and quantity.
