**Bernina Express & St Moritz from Milan** LONG day out but so worth it! Meeting time is 7am. Anna was our tourguide. Big group was divided into 2 buses: English and Italian-speaking... Bus left Milan at 7:20am, WiFi in the bus not reliable. The drive is 2.5 hours from Milan to St Moritz (bring passport). We were given 2.5 hours to walk around and take pictures of the frozen lake and watch the cross-country skiers. After a quick grocery store lunch, we boarded the red Bernina train for the most gorgeous train ride to Tirano. We felt like Anna and Elsa in winter wonderland. Every turn of the train provided gorgeous postcard-like scenery. Both bus and train rides were comfortable, there were multiple bathroom breaks and a ton of great memories. So glad we did this organized tour. Arrived back in Milan at 8pm. read more

This tour company has numerous travel plans you can choose from, which last from half day to a whole day. Their pickup and drop off locations are easy to navigate. The tour guide was very friendly, although didn't really share much about the history, rather more on celebrity and paparazzi stories, and mostly self guided tours without too many instructions. read more

We bought 2 tours from Zanni Viaggi and both were great! One tour of Milan's historic landmarks which also included the sold out tickets of "Last Supper" mural of Leonardo Da Vinci was great! Second tour of Como, Lake Como and Bellagio which included a bus ride and ferry on lake Como. However, We didnt care much about the tour guide's attitude (Como tour) towards the tourists ( he was Spanish) but nonetheless he was pretty knowledgeable. read more

If o give 0 star to them, I would not hesitate. Female was very rude and attacking us . We bought the ticket from GetYourGuide , waiting point was not clearly stated. When we figured out, they were the agency, she told us we were late and blame on us. And she was screaming at us. The owner came and he was treating Mia to call police if we don't leave the place. I just visited Italy, and for the Lake Como - Bellagio Tour they showed to pick points in Milan. We waited at the pick up stop mentioned from April to October from 7:45am to 9:00am..of course they never showed up and we missed our tour. They have to change their confusing schedules. While on this last vacation I did one group tour, I am more of an adventurer and like to explore on my own, but I saw this tour on Viator to ride the Bernina Express and head up to the Swiss Alps and new I had to go ( http://www.viator.com/tours/Milan/Swiss-Alps-Bernina-Express-Rail-Tour-from-Milan/d512-2872ZV15) Tickets where bought and found out our tour company was Zani Viaggi, was told where to meet and what time, so the day came and off we went. There were about 50 of us, we loaded up into a nice coach bus and our tour leader was Eddy, this tour was in English and Brazilian Portuguese. Eddy was great, he explained everything we saw, were we were at, he was funny too, not in a standup comedian but just a funny story teller, and very engaged with us. Our driver, I forgot his name and it's too bad because he was a great driver, we did some hairy pin turns on the way down from St Mortiz and he was easy on the eyes too haha. We drove from Mliano to Tirano , saw some beautiful scenery along the way, some great vineyards , if you are familiar with inferno wines, I saw their grapes! Haha Once in Tirano, we had about 1 1/2 hours before our train was to departed so some of us went to have lunch, and then I explored the town a bit, I had remembered to pack the portable cell charger but not the cord, so made a quick stop inside a mobile phone store to pick up a cord and grabbed some gelato too haha. Then it was time to board the red train. Its called the Bernina Express, but this is not an express train, its makes it way up to St Mortiz slowly, which was perfect for us. The windows drop down allowing you full picture ranges, because the views are just too amazing, the greenery, the snow, the frozen lakes, the glaciers, just everything AMAZING. We made it up to St Mortiz (the top of the world) had some time to roam around, I picked up some Swiss chocolate, then we made our way down to our bus that was waiting for us and made our way down to Milan This was a great fun tour, met some people from all over the world, saw some amazing sites and was informed of the area. read more

A V O I D !!!!!! Paid for a guided English speaking tour and tour guide spoke some hybrid of English and Spanish. Into a microphone she held too close to her mouth. So she was no able to be understood. Despite 70 people telling her repeatedly they couldn't understand her. Unfortunately took an entire tour and never understood one bit of the history we wanted to learn about . Views were nice ... what a shame. Company needs better screening. read more

We booked two tours while in Milan with this company (inadvertantly as the booking were through Viator) The first was Genoa & Portofino. The strange thing was that while I booked Genoa, they took us to Genova. I'm not sure if it was a typo on their end but my ticket stub clearly said we were going to Genoa which is not where we ended up going. While Portofino was nice, Genova was a complete waste of time. Part of the problem was our "drop and go" guide. We did not get any information about the city and within 60 seconds of arriving in both Genova and Portofino, after announcing the meeting time, he was no where to be found. This was more of a DIY tour than an actual tour (which is what I was under the impression I paid for) Also they dropped us off in a really bad part of Genova for lunch. We were harassed relentlessly by the homeless patrons of the city, one of them even trying to stick his hand in my daughters lunch. I was shocked that they would have left us unattended in this part of town and would not recomend using them for future travels. For the second tour we took, we had hotel pickup. They were supposed to be there at 6 AM and arrived at 6:15. We were dropped off at 6:20 and left standing outside for HALF AN HOUR. I could have easily taken a cab or Uber for the extra money I paid and slept an hour later but instead, I was standing outside their unopened business for half an hour. While on vacation last week we did two tours with them. We did the Bermina Express Rail Tour to St. Moritz and the Franciacorta Wine-Tasting and Fashion Tour. Both had very comfortable buses to take us to the different stops on each tour. Each bus also was equipped with WIFI. The meeting place for both tours was easy to find. The Bermina Tour was excellent and our tour guide was very knowledgeable in the areas we visited. We were also given plenty of time to explore every stop we made. The scenery was beautiful and I highly recommend taking photos throughout the tour. I also recommend researching the weather before you go. If you are going during the winter months be sure to back warm clothes. A thick jacket, gloves, a hat, and clothed toed shoes is a must. The Franciacorta Tour was also amazing. As we had gone in the slow season we ended up having a private tour which felt like it allowed more time for us at the mall and during the wine tour and tasting. The winery was small but cute. The owner's son gave us the tour and the tasting. It was interesting to see the difference in how wine is made in the states compared to Italy. The wines tasted great and I ended up buying a bottle for myself. I would definitely consider doing another tour with them when I am back in Milan. read more

Booked two trips with this tour company. My trip to Venice was cancelled by the company for not enough patrons. Disappointing. The trip to Verona was really good though. Our tour leader Serena was wonderful. Her English was excellent and she was spunky and fun. Started at 7:30a on the nice coach bus. After about 2.5 hours arrived in Verona. Saw all the Romeo and Juliet stuff. Vegas not impressed but other folks were swooning and was obviously the high point of their trip. I loved the arena. That was great and entry was included in our tour fee. We had a professor of art history as our local guide, Andrea. Great base of knowledge plus funny. We had time to explore and have lunch o our own which was nice. Then off to Lake Garda, the highlight of my trip. Cute seaside village with typical tourist shops but supplemented by amazing gardens. We took a boat trip on the Lake (an optional 1/2 hour, 14 Euro trip). Worth the money. The boat took us to where the thermo spring comes out of the lake and around the castle. Free time to get Gelato or tour the castle and back to the city around 7p. Good tour, felt very safe, knowledgable guide. I would book again. read more

I didn't try to hop on hop off buses here just because I had an all day pass for the Metro. Plus, I just tend to get their maps and see what are the big things to see in Milan. I don't pay attention to tour guides anyways. But since Milan is a small city you can probably see everything in a day and that's practically what I did. We used this for out of town tours or day trips just because we didn't rent a car and didn't want to get lost in a foreign city. We did the Foxtown Outlet Shopping where they stopped us at the shoping center in Switzerland. I don't see the difference in the prices. I mean if you're from the States you can get the same stuff for Cheaper but i can see why people get stuff here. The name brands that are actually from Europe are somewhat cheaper! just watch out for the conversion because the conversion makes it more expensive...darn rates and watch out for the foreign credit card fees but I think these may be covered by the duty free? I didn't shop that much just because I got what I wanted. Plus, I don't care for shopping, I rather sight see and that's kind of for free right? But the people that I went with wanted to check it out so we went. On the way to Switzerland you can see Lake Como. Which brings me to the other trip. Lake Como. Omg the georgeous town you will ever did see. We took the bus for an hour and they took us through the town and you can walk through it because you're waiting for the ferry which was about 30 minutes. the Ferry ride is about 1 hour to 2 hours..don't remember but you can the beautiful lake and all the houses even George Clooney's house. They end stop is a town called Bellagio. They do have a hotel called Hotel Bellagio but it's not like the hotel in Vegas lol and you stay there and just relax. Then you take the ferry to the other side where the bus is. And that is all. It's a short trip but the most amazing one just because of the scenery. Overall these are probably two trips that are the most popular. I did want to see Verona that would've been nice...and writing a letter to Juliet. But then it all depends on the schedule. I was in Milan on business and had the weekend free so I had booked two full day trips. I actually booked through Viator but the Zani Viaggi was the tour operator. I did a day trip to Cinque Terre. Highly recommended. our guides name was Sonja and she was excellent! It's a long day (12hrs +) but the guide's English was great and she was full of helpful suggestions. Plenty of free time to explore. The following day, I did a second day tour to Venice. I had been there before but its probably been a good 15 yrs ago. I passed on the Murano glass factory tour and opted to spend more time exploring alone and getting lost in the little alley ways. It was a great day. Franco was the name of the guide and he was also very good. Both tours were great. I'm not a total fan of bus tours but with limited time and traveling alone, it was a great option and I was very happy! read more

So, I have to admit I was not at all happy to be forced to purchase a tour to see The Last Supper. But tour companies buy all the tickets as soon as they are available, so tour was what we had to work with. Having said that, the tour we took was worth it. We bought tickets for the Milan City Tour with Il Duomo, La Scala, and The Last Supper. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable, and he presented in English and Spanish, which was very impressive. The meeting place was right off the Metro line, which is very convenient, and our guide gaves us great advice on where to go after the tour. read more

I had to find my way back to Milan ALONE - having to navigate ferry schedules and train times. I went to the office the next day to return my radio and when I told the gentleman what happened... This review is for the Lake Como tour from Milan. If you want a stereotypical bad, disorganized tourist tour, including staticky little radios (when they worked, which was rarely) to hang from your neck, way too loud loud speaker on the bus, , tour guides tirelessly blathering on about the most inane details when it would have been better to have them say nothing, then you've found it. From the website, one gets the impression the tour is small. It's not. It's a double decker bus (air conditioned, so points for that) packed with fellow sufferers. The best part of the town of Como part of the tour was when the tour guide finally stopped talking and left us alone to explore in quiet. Not that there's much to explore other than the old church (interesting) and countless premium clothing shops. Then more waiting to get on the commuter ferry to take us to Bellagio. That's right. A regular commuter boat. At least, finally, after a 7.30 am pickup at our hotel (which was 10 minutes late), we finally are on Lake Como. At 12 noon. 4 1/2 hours from pickup. Now, to be fair, the two-hour trip on the ferry provided coastline views of some lovely homes and communities etched into the hillsides. A few of the homes were palatial but most were fairly simple, clustered together to create a nice tableau of tans, creams, mauves, whites, and mustard yellows. The best part was that the silly little radios didn't work, or at least ours and several others didn't, meaning we got to enjoy the rolling view without the din of a running commentary in the background. Plus the ferry serves wine and limited cocktails, a definite mood improver. However, the stop at Bellagio quickly dissolved that. Every tour group on the boat offloaded and it was a scramble to get to a restaurant since, now being 2.15 pm, we were ravenous and didn't want to fight for a table. Bellagio is nice, with a pronounced Mediterranean feel, but it's mostly a tourist trap with a lot of pricey small shops. Told to report back to a specific location and time to catch the next ferry, we were prompt--and still were left waiting around on the dock for forty minutes. Now it's back to the tour bus, which we are dreading, fearing another salvo of blasting loudspeakers. Look, the tour isn't a rip-off, but it felt more than bit disingenuous from what the website and reviews suggested. If we were to do this again, I make all the arrangements myself. I think I can get a car service to drive me up to the commuter ferry and buy my own tickets. read more

This company should be ashamed! We booked a Lake Como tour at their company location for the next morning. We left and went to the Duomo piazza and had a pizza. That evening we were both stricken with food poisoning. I called first thing in the morning to tell them what happened so they would not be waiting for us to show up. The next day I called and asked how to get a refund. I was told normally they don't refund but that I could write to the office and explain the circumstances. I wrote and heard nothing. When I arrived home, I wrote to two other addresses and finally got a response. Needless to say they just blew me off! Shame on them. Can I say Greedy!! read more

TOUR OF LAKE COMO: We actually joined this 'tour' in Como as we were staying there for a few days. To actually call this a tour is incredibly deceiving. A tour is when information is given to participants and you come away knowing more than when you began. A bit late now, but as many have stated, the audio did not work. If this is well known to Zani Viaggi management, why not make an attempt to provide devices that would enable you to at least gleen the very minute amount of details of your surroundings. The details of the tour make reference to 'your knowledgeable guide will lead you around the medieval streets'. Really! We took a 5 minute walk across the road and were left in front the Duomo with not a word of history of this sight. Left on our own for almost two hours to wander ON OUR OWN here and there...did I mention we were staying here. Did all the wandering I wanted the day before. Next, we joined the hoards of other passengers onto the ferry...yes, could have also done this on our own...on board...once again, no info on the towns we were passing by...nothing...where was our knowledgeable guide...sitting by the bar, not drinking mind you. Just sitting. Around us there were guides from another tour company ...but we didn't have access to their communication. I got more info from the Brits sitting next to me than my 'knowledgeable guide'. Upon reaching Bellagio 2 hours later, were told we were again being left to our own devices to ...wander around some more, while our Guide went off. Told to catch the return ferry...on our own. What a fiasco. This company should be ashamed to take hard earned dollars into their coffers without even providing actual usable hearing devices and someone who may actually give out facts of what we were there to see. Loved hop on hop off bus anywhere in the world as the bus tour normally give you a summarized view of the city highlights and you can repeat it it over and over depending on the ticket that you purchased. The Milan tickets had combo option with inside visits to the cathedral or boat or stadium which are good options. The bus departure and arrival schedules are very frequent which is a plus for day trippers. The Milan bus had three routes and you can pick up the different routes from one central location which is a plus! Staff are friendly. Do not lose your ticket and headsets while hopping. This bus picks up passengers from the Milan central train station too. It has an upper deck as well. read more

Worst tour experience ever. Booked the tour to Venice. First our guide was late, then we went out of the way to Bergamo to pick up two random women on our trip when our meeting point was clearly in the center of Milan. Oh did I mention they clearly had said there be no special treatment and wouldn't drop us off where we needed. Only back at the original meeting spot. Fair, no problem, so why did these two ladies get dropped off at their convenience on our time and money? Then we get to Venice and our boat wasn't there to pick us up. We had to wait. Again. Once we get to Venice we had the most terrible tour guide. Boring. Could barely be understood because the headphones they give us are so cheap. We were then taken to a glass factory where we were pressured to buy from and as I was leaving kept being asked, "ah there's a piece for you here, please come take a look, don't leave yet". What I'm here to see Venice if I want to buy I will. On this 14 hour trip we took, we only had 2 hours to roam Venice. Quite ridiculous considering how big Venice is. Then I email them to explain how unsatisfied I am, and was told the service was provided so no partial refund, or any feedback at all was given to me. They have terrible customer service. Don't care for people. Never booking them again. You're seriously better off taking your own train and roaming on your own. It's cheaper and more fun. read more

Did the tour of Milan which included seeing the Last Supper. Was a Spanish and English tour but the guide did a nice job talking to both groups. Tour was conducted at a good pace and allowed for some wandering at the sites. The Duomo was closed that morning for an event but we got tickets so I went back and also would recommend visiting the Duomo Museum next door which was very interesting (and included in ticket). This company provides a well organized ride to Serravalle Outlet, but I recommend you to be extremely careful when collecting your items upon return. A few young girls (that actually tried to steal our stuff on the previous day while we were on the metro) appeared in the crowd, and stole wallets from the tourist who were preoccupied with getting their shopping bags from the luggage compartment of the bus. I was speechless when I realized that they were the same pickpockets that terrorised our metro ride and before I could say anything, they have already went through some purses and pockets. The bus stops by the sidewalk across the tour company, and everyone is in a hurry to collect their shopping bags. As the return to Milan is at a scheduled time, the pickpockets know where and when to find you. The tour company is obviously aware of the problem, because they announce you "to be careful with your belongings when you get back to the city" before departing Milan in the morning, but this is obviously not enough. People are too distracted after a long day of shopping, so if the company really wants to protect its customers, the announcement should be repeated before leaving Serravalle Outlet emphasizing on the risk. My husband and I bought a ticket to go to Serravale mall one day before the trip. I felt sick during the night, and I called in the first time in the morning. I told the lady that I could not make the trip. She told that I can schedule other day. I will leave Milano tomorrow so I have no oportunity to go at the mall. I ask the refund. She told me there is no refund. I comment that there is nothing about it on the "tour voucher", or we were adviced about it. She said the "non refundable policy" is in the book. Which book? No one showed us any book! She said that I should know because it is a policy in Italy and she needed to hang up the phone because arrived some clients (screeming, and very rude). Went to 5 Terre today. Good tour bus very comfortable. Guides use audio with headphones this really helps as it was very busy. Only problem is you need more than one day to absorb the beautiful towns. I do recommend this tour company read more
