We were able to walk to major tourist sights, restaurants and boutiques. Anything that could not be accessed on foot could easily be accessed by subway, bus and tram. The hotel immediately feels luxurious from the moment you step into the lobby. All of the staff were so welcoming and immediately offered us beverages and snacks. The lobby is decorated very modern, but not stuffy. Jars of candy in the lobby gave the hotel a fun and playful vibe. Our hotel room were absolutely incredible! Our spacious, modern-style room was luxuriously decorated and included a large bedroom with desk, a sitting room, a massive closet and bathroom. Our spa-like bathroom included designer toiletries and the most heavenly smelling bath salts. The beds were so comfortable. Once I slipped into the hotel's bathrobe and slippers I was tempted to never leave our room! There is no sit-down restaurant at the hotel, but they do offer room service in the morning. Since we had an early flight we decided to take advantage of room service and enjoyed breakfast in our sitting room. Breakfast included our choice of coffee or tea, juice, eggs, breakfast meats, fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal and milk, and pastries. The pastries weren't the best, but everything else was fine. If you wish to skip room service there are plenty of cheaper breakfast options near the hotel. If I ever have the chance to visit Milan again I will definitely stay at the Una Maison.

I contacted Viator and they could not give me a reason and could not find any tickets - everything was sold out through June. I contacted Veditalia directly and the responses from the General Manager were useless. This is the THRID time that VIATOR has cancelled our Last Supper tour in Milan, Italy over the years. THREE TIMES!!! We booked months in advance to make sure we had the tickets taken care of and now we have nothing. We called and Viator could not do anything.

Just enough to see the castle, the famous Brera district, the City Center, and lastly the Duomo cathedral. Giacomo kept us highly entertained with his skillful knowledge of the city, it's rich history, it's current status and even tips on where and what to eat to get the FULL cultural experience of Milan. We were jet lagged and probably not the best guests, but he was a great communicator.... kind, friendly, great English, good listener. He even asked us which metrics we prefer for him to use! If you want to have a very PERSONAL tour experience and leave a city knowing so much more than a book or article can offer, I'd highly recommend Giacomo's Milan Tours company. We kept walking by the larger tour groups with their headphones and flags and thought, wow, why pay the same amount for such a lesser experience?!?!? They were also able to store our luggage for a few days as we left to visit another city and returned later in the week. The hotel is located close to Via Montenapoleone and the main shopping areas in Milan. It is only one stop away from Duomo as well. They can reserve fixed price taxis to both Linate and Malpensa (120 euros for Malpensa, while reserving an Uber in advance would have been about 145) airports. Our initial room had a very small and cramped bathroom. The second room had a much larger bathroom though, the shower did not drain well so it sometimes smelled a bit musty. Beware of mosquitoes if you leave the door to the outside/window open as there was no screen.

Me: I am a frequent traveler to Milan (once a year) & I've stayed in over 15 hotels in Milan in the past 6 years. Because my main purpose is to shop I stay on budget. I try to spend less than $150/night on my hotel (also bc I travel solo) so I can spend more on shopping and food. My default spot is a modern four star near the train station bc I'm able to get to/from airport & tourist spots quicker; but that area def isn't fun & unsafe at night for a female traveling solo- so when I chose this hotel it meant giving up those conveniences for a real, safer neighborhood & change of scenery. It was the height of tourist season & I averaged $100/night after taxes (couples probably pay more), I don't regret this choice & was willing to add 22 euros/day to my budget for taxi travel (as this hotel isn't near a Metro & it's impossible to learn the bus route). Overall: If this hotel was charging double what I paid I'd be on the fence about giving a full 5 stars due to location. But because an equivalent hotel room (with this decor, cleanliness & service) would be at least 2.5x the cost near the duomo, it's great for the price where the difference is the extra 18-20 minute walk. Staff: I read the earlier & poor reviews re hotel staff from over a year ago. The staff must have improved bc overall they were likable. Milan hospitality has room for improvement (although it's excellent when you get to the $700/night & up range ie: Four Seasons - a hotel I like very much in Milan, but def you pay the hefty price for the A-list service in the city). Milan hotels under $250/n rarely make an attempt to improve rudeness. BUT my experience at this hotel was opposite, staff was pleasant- they even made compliments (honestly that's not a Milan hospitality trait so it was duly noted and appreciated) - thus, perhaps this hotel made attempts to improve since last year - which is great! They even asked and called me a cab right away when they saw my suitcase (I know that's expected, but it's Milan). Room: Layout utilizes the space; clean and modern with a rustic touch. In particular, I like the spacious bathroom and shelves for towels and toiletry. It's more on the modern side and rooms def have a specific style (art deco sconces with washed green walls and modern wood closet). So if you are traveling with kids the rooms itself don't scream family-friendly when you get into your room (which I think the images on site may lead you to believe) but the outdoor space is nice to have when you are traveling with family. Room service: Part of the perk I learned of staying at a neighborhood hotel is the food/wine is cheaper and so the room service bill was very kind to me. The big bottle of white in room I believe was 8 euros - nice. The only thing that sucked was my fridge wasn't working so I couldn't chill my water, but that was the only thing wrong with my room. Breakfast: I really enjoyed the "legit" breakfast - much better than the last 12 hotels I've stayed at in the city, (and def worth choosing this option when you book your room - it's only $8 more) which was large (Italian deli meats, Italian cheeses, bread, cereal, eggs, the barista makes a great cappuccino, salads and fruit), there were great gluten free options (bread and cereal) for me as I am GF. Nearby/Apertivo: Staying at this hotel I was able to discover one of the best Apertivo in Milan and that is Globe, at the rooftop of Coin (has great outdoor dining) which is basically down the street from the hotel. The Apertivo starts around 5:30pm and gets super busy around 8pm. (If anyone knows of a better apertivo, please DM me I would like to check it out). Location: Def not near tourist places: duomo & main shopping area. If you want to see the duomo etc, only stay here for price and pay about 10-12 euros each way with taxi or walk the extra 20 minutes. Most taxi drivers know this hotel (Uber is more expensive). I walked to Via Bigli to my favorite shops & it was a 22 minute walk. A decently rated hotel at this price closer to the duomo gets you a much smaller & tired room with no service - you def must spend 2-2.5x to get the equivalent. For three nights I was happy to save $400 staying at this hotel vs an equivalent one next to Via Bigli. In short this hotel is worth to stay on budget, you are getting a clean, modern room that feels updated; great selection of wine for cheap, satisfying breakfast & staff is amicable.

When we arrived, our room wasn't ready yet since we had arrived early for checkin, so we had to wait a bit. But the guest relations team stepped in, took our order personally, and made sure the food was delivered right after we got into our room. Honestly, they couldn't have handled it better. The location is also great, with a beautiful view of Milano Centrale station. Without doing any research, we were able to hop on the airport shuttle and get dropped off just two minutes from the hotel, which was incredibly convenient. Breakfast was amazing too. They even had a DIY juicer, which I loved so much I actually wanted one for my home. I'm not even a dessert person, but I tried the pastries and they were so good. Upon arrival they took our luggage and check-in was an easy process. The benefits came with a free room upgrade so we decided to wait for a two twin room. We arrived around noon and left to explore. When we came back around 4pm, our room still wasn't ready so we went to their spa. They did send our luggage to the room though. Their spa is absolutely amazing. You already have access to the facilities if you're staying there. They were closing them December 1-10 for maintenance so we were only able to enjoy them for November 30th, but still used the facilities to the fullest. We booked two massages too. My favorite was the salt room. They also had a pool, saunas, and steam rooms. The privacy was next level, it felt like we had the whole space to ourselves. I also loved the abundance of snacks and water. I booked the relaxing massage and had an incredible experience. If you have time, I highly recommend a massage here. As for the room, it was huge. It was very "modern" 90s. The light switches weren't intuitive. I loved the bathroom! It was also very spacious. We had a courtyard room (Room 342) so it sorta felt like we had a room with no windows based on where the window was placed. The beds were fine. We made the most of the room and enjoyed our stay. The complimentary breakfast was phenomenal! There was a HUGE variety of choices for all types of breakfast from sweet to savory to all around the world foods. We adored breakfast. We ordered our coffees (love that they had non-dairy options) and then enjoyed the buffet. The hotel was so charming during our stay, not only because the incredible staff, but because they had all their Christmas decorations out. The tree at the lobby was so beautiful (someone had a photoshoot in front of it). I'd recommend staying here for a night.
