I called a day prior saying I wanted a haircut and a wash and blow. I informed her that I wanted to know the cost up front because my hair is really thick. She said that we will talk about it when I come in, on my appointment I said I will be getting a haircut, collarbone length and wash and blow, I again asked how much do you think it will be. She dismissed me and told me to go to the wash area. Two stylists were present; one was washing a client's hair, the other one opened and gestured for me to have a seat. When I informed them that I was cutting it short, they jokingly said that I shouldn't in spanglish. It was then time to style my hair, a wide tooth comb was used to blowout my hair.. Just to check on things, my mother came in then later left. While my hair was getting blown out and Nani asked if I was my mother, I replied with yes. After my blowout Nani asked if I wanted to cut my hair, I answered "yes" to my shoulder. She was visibly annoyed and stated that I should have told her before the stylist went to all this trouble with my hair. I informed her that this had been mentioned to her twice and the women in the wash area. Anyways, I apologize and I understood that I could have made sure the stylist truly understood. Then, Nani asked for my phone. I thought she was asking to see if the reference photo for my haircut said no, the camera. She took a picture of the length of my hair and I was confused. I asked for layers and they said no because my hair is too thick. By now, I was really irritated and wanted to leave. NOW TIME TO PAY! This greedy lady made prices on the spot. She wrote down that I owed $250 because of how much hair I have. I knew that I was going to pay more money than the average but $250 is CRAZYYYY, let alone $150-200. She attempted to charge me $20 for a complimentary deep conditioner! AND charged me an additional $10 for wash and blow, which I discovered later. I then questioned her about the $150. She explained that it was because my hair was so thick and unmanageable. This pricing is absurd, I informed her. She claimed that they applied a cream or chemical of some kind. (I genuinely don't know, and I believe she lied because, as far as I know, she just applied Silicon Mix which is common in Dominican salon.) to make my hair more manageable for them. I said, you never told me NOR asked me to put that on my hair. Again she kept on justifying the price because of how much hair I have. I had to pay $200. Never in my life have I ever spent this much on a wash + set let alone a wash + blow! She called me on the way home and asked me to send her the picture because she wanted a before and after shot from various perspectives. Girl BYEEEE When returning home, I noticed that it was choppy and uneven. My mother was upset about the amount I had to spend and called to complain about my uneven haircut and price. She said, "My hair was thick and so unmanageable." And to my own mother, you have no idea how much labor goes into her hair because you're not a hairstylist. She then claimed that I was aware of the price, which was untrue because I hardly heard her bc a blow dryer was near my ear. I assumed she said was my mother, so there was obviously a misunderstanding. My mom asked for a partial refund and she dismissed it and said she's busy and had a customer, but I can come back again so she could fix it. Why would I want to drive hours to be treated like this again? Overall, this Nani has NO integrity AND A THIEF. Don't come here!!!

Magazines and seating were available for your entertainment. My threader actually listened to my requests concerning the shape and thickness I wanted. She did a really good job of following through. I got my eyebrows shaped up but full with a slight arc. I wont even need to fill in with brow pencil. The only thing is that she used to much powder and some got in my eyes but that was minor. I like that is place is less crowded than Charms in Hackensack so you get quality service. I will definitely go back. $7 for women's eyebrows.

I personally did not have my hair done here but a good friend of mines did, unfortunately. I felt the need to come on here and tell my friends story. My friend had beautiful, thick, bouncy, curly hair. When I say curly, I mean CURLY! Curls that girls would die for and boys will drool over. From the first day I meant her I had to compliment her on her gorgeous hair. Well fast forward to her visit at this salon. It was her birthday and she wanted to treat herself by getting her hair colored, she wanted a change. She arrived at the salon with dark black hair and showed the stylist a picture of how she wanted her hair colored. The stylist promised her that she can achieve the look, well that was a huge lie! My friend was in that salon for over 7+hrs and was the only one in the salon from the time she walked in until she left. No other clients! Unacceptable! I could understand if she had other clients but NOPE. The stylist was constantly on her phone with her mother (mother is the owner of the salon) and her boyfriend. Gossiping about other people and what's so crazy is that she was gossiping about the person that referred my friend to her. Her loyal client! SMDH! But after all that time in the salon by friend left there sad and embarrassed about how her hair looked. She called me crying and upset. The stylist knew it was real bad because she even offered my friend to come back a couple days later to FIX IT! What! Do your job correctly the first time (because you are a "licensed"beautician) so there's no need to come back to fix it. I've never heard of that. Why would someone come back after you've just destroyed my hair, especially after spending hours and hours in the salon the first time. That's a NO! That's a lost client! Running and never looking back. I saw my friend the next day and my heart broke for her. To see that much damage to someone who had such gorgeous hair was very upsetting and it's not even my hair! Weeks later my friends hair still has no life to it. Her hair doesn't curl like it used to, curl pattern is ruined, it's dry, thin and she had no choice but to chop her hair off. It's really sad that you put your trust into someone who supposedly went to beautician school and should know how to do their job just do you wrong like that. The stylist, Irene, did not refund my friend her money. The owner who is also Irene's mother did nothing to help the situation. FYI the owner knows nothing about hair, not licensed just owns the place and hires her daughter who for some reason is licensed to ruin people's hair. Usually salon owners are licensed beauticians but I guess this salon is different. And for those who are wondering why my friend paid, well she only did so because first she was in complete shock and just wanted to run home and plus Irene would have most likely call the cops on her for walking out without paying and being arrested is not worth it. Irene should have not charged her especially after telling her to come back to FIX her hair. Anyways, this place is a disgrace! I wish I can take away that star but it is what it is. Don't tell me each time that I have "residue" in my hair. I wash my hair every day. My daughter's hair is worn short and Amy cannot cut it evenly, leaves huge gaps and does a very simplistic cut. We told her one side was uneven and she kept saying it wasn't while it is clearly hanging lower. My daughter is irate about her cut and I don't blame her. And this place is not cheap.
