I've been coming to this place for a couple of years now and unfortunately today was my last time. I come on a monthly basis which is ample time for my brow hair to grow out. The tech (I unfortunately never learned her name, but the one who's not the owner) made my eyebrows thinner than usual. Which, to be honest, wasn't the problem- I don't have much hair to begin with so I fill them in daily. However, when I told her that they were a little thinner that I'd like, she was very quick to (aggressively) blame it on my eyebrows- apparently there was an empty spot that she needed to work around so she HAD to make them thinner. But girl, I knew how they looked before I came in and that definitely wasn't the case. You could clearly see the follicles in that "empty spot" that she JUST threaded. She then proceeded to tell me I need to stop coloring my eyebrows in because doing so makes my hair fall out. Wish I could say this was the first time this happened but I've given her so many chances because this is an honest business, y'know? No where in that conversation did she take responsibility for the mistake. Look, life happens and everybody makes mistakes. If she stepped up and just told me she accidentally over-threaded an area then it would have made the experience a LOT better. read more

Good customer service! They have a parking spot around back. I was courteously greeted upon arrival by receptionist. The wait time was brief. Magazines and seating were available for your entertainment. My threader actually listened to my requests concerning the shape and thickness I wanted. She did a really good job of following through. I got my eyebrows shaped up but full with a slight arc. I wont even need to fill in with brow pencil. The only thing is that she used to much powder and some got in my eyes but that was minor. I like that is place is less crowded than Charms in Hackensack so you get quality service. I will definitely go back. $7 for women's eyebrows. read more

This is my official eyebrow threading place! It's a small salon (2 chairs) with a waiting area of about 5 seats. I'm really happy with the way they do my eyebrows and their service. There were a few times I had to wait so I took one star off for that. Personally, I don't mind too much but if your someone with a super tight schedule or simply don't like to wait, this place may be hit or miss. They do their best to take people in the order they walked in because there is no sign in sheet. Anyway- I've had the threading done by about 4 different people at Sona's and I've left smiling every time. All the ladies there are sweet, take their time and I love that I never feel rushed. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. I went in here & specifically told the lady just a clean up because im trying to grow my eyebrows. Dont make them skinny. She said ok she went on to tweeze and cut my eyebrows & did exactly the opposite of what I told her not to do!!!!! Months of growing my eyebrows back went down the drain & am back to square one. She butchered my eyebrows & am so upset. She said she will fix next time. There will be no next time because I will never ever go back there! read more

I was going here regularly for about a year since I don't live far from the area. I saw only Baldi. So about 3 mos ago, she really chopped the front of my right eyebrow because she was speaking to her boss and so I had to grow that out and I let it slide and just looked choppy for a little while, whatever. I had some cleanings in between. I go back last month and say please just clean it and don't take anything off the top and even took a before and after because I told her my eyebrows are thinner now and uneven I am trying to grow them back. She says yes yes and the owner was also watching. Bro, she chopped me again with that thread and then starts going off in her native Language and saying I came in without eyebrows. -_- first I forgave her and then she pulls that? I tried speaking to her and she replied to me in her native language and yelling. I told her Please speak to me in English I'm not being rude or yelling and she continued so The owner said next time I'll do you because she's going on vacation starting 1/10/2019 for 2 months. Next time? If you can see my choppy eyebrows right now it's so embarrassing I'm calling on my fellow yelpers for help to find a new place. read more

I'm going to try to keep this as short as possible but I left the establishment EXTREMELY disappointed! To start, I have been growing my eyebrows out since the beginning of July so they were really full! I only needed a clean up with a slight arch - these were the exact instructions I gave the lady before she began. I should have known better because shortly after my direct instructions, another lady came over to show her how to do it -BIG MISTAKE! Long story short, My eyebrows are disgustingly thin! one is round the other is square it's just a complete mess! Have been a long term customer here and sadly will never be returning back. The owner here use to do my eyebrows, however she hired some nasty trash to be apart of the business. Be aware- they talk a lot of shit about people who walk into the salon in Indian language. The new girl they hired I guess didn't know I was Indian and she was talking about me to the owner and said some mean nasty things about me! I've been going to this place since I moved here, and I loved it at first but then I was quick to change my mind. The lady who usually does the eyebrows is good, but extremely rude! I would occasionally give her tips, and on the days I wouldn't, she would have the nastiest attitude. The last time I went there, which is the final time I'm going, I was nice and said thank you and have a nice day. Not a word back from her. She just ignored me and walked away. I said "uh, hello?" She turned back and looked super annoyed and I said to her that I said thank you. All she said was "okay?" I called her out on it and said she's extremely rude. I even suggested this place to so many people, and they all said the same thing I'm saying now. I can see why people go here, cause the owner is very nice and there's another younger girl who does eyebrows, who I haven't seen in a while. Best eyebrow place around not only are their prices really inexpensive they actually listen to how you want your eyebrows . They are never in a rush and take the time to shape your eyebrows to your face rather than just one general shape . Highly recommend and they are always open . read more

Specifically told the woman who did my eyebrows leave them thick just clean it and leave a slight arch. She literally gave me 2 different eyebrows, one is extremely thin and is like a straight line the other one is thick with barely a shape. BEST PLACE!!! I have been going here for 6 years and I will never go anywhere else! All the ladies are so sweet and accommodating and you definitely can't beat the prices! I see Abba specifically and I am always so so happy with my results. I leave feeling like a new person after. She also does my brothers eyebrows and he has very thick eyebrows and she cleaned them up so nicely, without making it look like he has girly eyebrows haha. I would never think about going any place else or letting anyone else touch my eyebrows. I see some of the reviews are bad but these customers have probably not had Abba. I love this tiny Salon in Bergenfield and I come here any time I'm in the area. It's located in an old barber's shop on Washington Avenue--but don't let the wood panelling and 70s vibe put you off. The women here really know what they're doing and the prices are excellent. read more
