I was at the ZARA store, Duke of York Square 65, London SW3 4LY, around 7:50 pm today, 2nd November, with a friend who wanted to visit. The shop lights were still on, and we could see people inside (who we later realised were all staff). We approached the automatic doors, but they didn't open. We checked the store's Saturday closing time on Google Maps and saw it was 7:00 pm. Just as we were about to give up, we noticed a staff member inside with long, straight brown hair, smiling and gesturing for us to come in through the glass door. Although we knew the store had already closed, I initially thought the staff member was being kind and generous by inviting us for a quick look. However, despite her repeated gestures, the automatic door remained shut. After a while, I realised the staff member had no intention of letting us in and was, in fact, making fun of us. I felt completely mocked and ridiculed, leaving me with a sense of being insulted. Later, the same staff member made a gesture with her hands, appearing to mouth an apology, but by then it felt insincere. I couldn't shake the feeling that this incident was racially motivated. She seriously needs to learn how to treat others with basic respect, even before receiving any customer service training. This was the worst experience I have ever had, and I will not be returning to ZARA again. read more

I bought two items online, at great expense. One arrived with threads already pulling, so I didn't bother trying it on, and decided to return both. I visited the King's Road store, admittedly on a weekend, but it was a terrible experience. I have worked in retail on the King's Road and know just how stressful it can be, nonetheless, I was never allowed to overlook customer service. Firstly, there are two separate queues for buying and returning. While I think this is an intelligent idea overall, it is not well signposted, and the staff in the fitting rooms don't tell you. I had to wait for 30 minutes at the buying till, only to be told to go to the returns queue, and wait for another 30 minutes. Secondly, they seem to treat everyone trying to return items they have bought online like suspects. I wasn't allowed to exchange the products I had bought. I was told I'd have to pay for new items on the day. My refund for my first purchase was made, but it takes up to 12 days to arrive in my bank account. Why should I have to be out of pocket for a fortnight? I had already spent my money. Thirdly, when I raised a perfectly legitimate concern about a lack of signposting in the store about the queue system, and that customers who have already paid for items should be able to exchange, I was told by the manager that I should have asked about these policies when I entered the store. Why is that the case? Customers are not obliged to understand complex policies of firms - they are not employees! I was in two minds about posting a bad review, as I know that working in retail can be horrible, and I wouldn't want to leave hard-working staff feeling deflated. However, Zara's business model seems to have gone very down hill. They rely far too heavily on self-service. This may work in a supermarket when you know exactly what you need, but it simply isn't suitable for a company that sells clothes at mid-range price point. Overall, I would say that the company's focus 'selling fast' has undermined the customer experience, and has left staff feeling disillusioned. Disgraceful disgusting company. Ordered a dress online. Couldn't fit it over my head and return it ASAP! They sent it back to me and said it was not in good return condition? What!? I didn't even wear it. I called customer service to complain. They were suppose to call me back for a 2nd review. By this time they sent it back to me. I called 2 weeks after and they decided without even seeing the product new with tags, they declined a refund? WTF!!!! Called again to speak to a supervisor and again no call 2 weeks later nothing! They obviously do not care about their customers. Disgusted and disappointed!! I will never ever buy anything from this company again and post this experience everywhere I can. read more

Absolutely amazing! If I could give more stars I would! Me and my friends went to the zara store and Christina was fantastic, shes so friendly, attentive and was honest which meant we could trust her opinion! She's very Knowledgeable around fashion and the advise she gave me on colours that really work for me has boosted my confidence so so so much. read more

the customer service received from the team memeber was so rude and shocking to the point made me leave immediately. the staff memeber made me feel so stupid and worthless, they should not be in customer service or they need training on how to deal with the customer. read more

This is my favourite Zara store to date because of it's relaxed atmosphere. (Usually I associate stores like Zara with crowds of people and a messy floor but this branch is a pleasure to shop in. With a great range of men's and women's clothes, boots, shoes. They also have a fantastic home ware department with really nice towels, glass ware that's on sale at the moment, gifts like hot-water bottles and candles. The staff are very friendly and helpful here. I cant wait to go back again. read more

Do you like Zara? PRO tip: this is my favourite one. Double PRO tip: it seems to be the favourite of many, so early morning just-when-it-opens shopping? *Best*. I like the feel of this space; it's really open, and light and over two large floor as opposed to several smaller ones. It has extensive women's and men's, *as well as* Zara Home at the back. Because of the size (or maybe other factors, but I'm crediting size) they always have the stock I'm in need of, either on the floor or easily secured by tapping one of the many staff on the floor (they now can insta-check stock through fancy touch screens. TECHNOLOGY, man). In sum: yes, this place will get you some fine affordable glad rags in a beautiful environment, and you might even have a throw pillow catch your eye in the process. Yelp note: seriously, though: bonkers on a Saturday afternoon, so maybe avoid that. read more

This is my favorite Zara as well, and here's why: it's a low-traffic store that's a large-concept size so they get a lot of sale & clearance items once the seasons change that aren't terribly picked over which means one thing: I CAN FIND SOMETHING ON SALE IN MY SIZE! Magic. You know how I love Zara Home and this one is integrated in the store so it's all in one place. It really is Zara heaven. And you're in Chelsea, so stop by Saatchi and get a tea afterwards to relax after all that shopping you've done. Clearly, you deserve a little "you" time. read more

This branch seems to combine everything under one roof and is the biggest Zara I have ever been to. Unfortunately, the clothes are not for me, but I just love the Zara Home collection which can be found in a separate section towards the back of the store. This is one of my favourite haunts for Christmas shopping. Everything is beautifully displayed, they really have a good eye for colour. read more

Wow, I don't know what's going on with this particular Zara store, but boy are the staff rude. Supposedly they need to un-pin shirts that I try on so I don't ruin them. That was only after I stood there like an idiot waiting for them to finish a conversation with each other before I could enter the fitting rooms. The best Zara I have ever shopped in. Went to kings road on Saturday. On the way we spotted the market and had to visit. Whilst there my friend told me there is a great Zara around the corner. I just wished I had not walked with my card. I ended up buying a coat, two dresses and a pair of earrings. So many more I loved but had to stop. I will definitely be shopping there again. One thing Zara, there was a white dress that I liked but, because of makeup on all of them around the neck, I lost interest in trying and buying. Zara needs to charge customers for putting makeup on their clothes. In fact all retailers should charge a fee if they are not buying them. I suggest when they go to try them on anything white. Check before they go in to try on that no makeup and if it comes back out with makeup charge them for cleaning or make them pay as customers buying things with makeup on would expect a discount. I know I would. All in all would definitely recommend this store. Staff are friendly. read more
