It's pretty close to a Coles for shopping afterwards and a fruit shop as well. The decor is quite chilled and inside the cafe it's riddled with heaps of magazines and anime comics. You can even buy a phone case while you wait! Didn't expect it at all but it's pretty cool! There's plenty of parking especially around the 9am mark! The iced latte really hits the spot and it's nice and filling. I've had it once before at another cafe and it felt really runny. So this one really hits the spot. Will definitely be back to try everything else soon.

This is like my study hiding place and simply relaxing for sometimes, just sometimes. Free internet and good seating arrangements, it's very convenient and comfortable for me. I always order these three drinks: caramel latte, Vietnamese coffee (with condensed milk) & lychee black tea. The last time I ordered something else, I feel like I just committed a crime to the list of my life decisions. I am not much of coffee drinker, as you can see most of my coffee are flavored (call me a fake coffee drink/ wink wink). So all you expresso or double shots survivors, I'm sorry to announce that you gotta try it to judge the coffee yourself. There are not so much food on the menu, just some packed sandwiches which you can ask them to toast for you if you want. The cakes are moderate. I tried a few. Opera cake still tops it all. Beware: if you need a quiet place for night coffee. NO. Don't come. It opens late till 11pm but they are packed at nighttime with mostly young target markets.

Wow it's been a long while since I stumbled on this place…read more It's as good as ever. Stopped in for brunch. The Breakfast Bun was delicious, tasty and filling. The Yumington was a sweet breakfast treat that filled the brunch craving. Coffee was excellent and worked well with brunch. Not too bitter - a Goldilocks blend, just right. The decor seems the same from all those years back. It's got a good atmosphere so why change what seems to work. As I said good as ever.

Located at the back of an industrial area near Springwood, this hidden gem of a coffee place is well worth the visit. You will return time and time again. Apart from the amazing range of gourmet food, their house blend 'Gratitude' coffee which is roasted and produced on-site is to die for. Extraction caters for all dietary needs, and it is very proud of the fact that it uses and respects sustainable practices. I love the way that it supports local industries including the dairy and meat farmers. I also love the fact that the staff are continually being involved in community events, and they excel in the way they give back to the community and inspire their customers to do the same. You feel like family. Ordering at the counter is fast and helpful and the table service is amazing. Everyone is so friendly, and continually making your dining experience wonderful. Coffee, friends, food and good times are the essences of Extraction. There are so many different places to sit and enjoy reasonably-priced coffee and food. Large, small and medium tables are surrounded by couches and antique chairs. The decor is eclectic but not pretentious. Apart from the exquisite range of coffee, Extraction also has their amazing range of cold drip coffee plus a huge assortment of tea if that's your thing. Go and try Extraction Artisan Coffee. It's a great place to meet people, relax, chill out and enjoy yourself surrounded by friendly and attentive staff. And on a personal note, for breakfast, you can't go past the vast array of choices, but for this man, the scrambled eggs are done to perfection and the locally produced bacon is exquisite. I love this quote from their online menu which really sums up the whole Extraction experience: "Sharing food and enjoying coffee together is the equivalent of saying you matter."

Food in general delicious, service could improve (both at counter and serving table), pleasant…read moreoutlook from our inside table and nice and warm - room outside too, including on pavement if you preferred a cooler aspect. 1. Big minus - no freshly squeezed juice - although a great selection of bottled juices (around 8 different combinations), which one must select oneself from the fridge and cart to the table where a fresh glass was provided. For breakfast out, unless a buffet, I like to have everything brought to the table (as the rest of the meal was) and if there is juice in a bottle, for it to be brought with the glass and opened and poured - as you would at dinner with a bottle of wine. 2. I also prefer table service after looking at a menu, not having to grab a table and then go up to the counter and order. 3. I ordered porridge and then toast with marmalade and fruit toast - I didn't specifically emphasise the toast after the porridge, but I did say porridge and then the toast. I also asked that the coffee not be brought immediately but after the breakfast had commenced - so to have with the toast. So I thought they would understand that first the porridge and then the toast. Instead, they brought all together (except for the coffee, in keeping with my order). When the porridge and toast were brought out, I said I had expected the toast after the porridge because it would be cold by the time I got to it - there was a fairly halfhearted apology but no offer to take it back and bring out warm toast a little later - with the coffee. The porridge was delicious. The fruit toast was OK, the sourdough fine - but of course close to cold by the time I got to it. It would have been great to have a selection of marmalades and jams - instead there was only one type of jam and one type of marmalade (and vegemite, peanut butter and honey - bonus points for that as handy if there with children who may not eat jam or marmalade). 4. They came to ask if I was ready for coffee before I'd finished the porridge and I said yes - they obviously didn't hear because no coffee arrived and then when already started on the toast they did ask again and they heard me this time as the coffee then arrived speedily - so that was great. 5. My friend had the big breakfast which included home made baked beans - they turned out to be made with almost Indian style spices - that may have been referred to on the menu (which she didn't read fully), but as not a usual choice of spices to go with eggs, bacon etc, it should be highlighted on the menu. My friend said the rest of the big breakfast was lovely. Overall, somewhere I would recommend, but with a caution to be very specific re timing if ordering two different things, and to read the menu very carefully in terms of inclusions (I am assuming the menu did mention the spices, but as my friend didn't read it fully I don't know).

Sonder Dessert - Matcha cake was pretty underwhelming, no matcha taste at all. And a matcha drink. The matcha ice cream was extremely good though.

Although not a matcha themed cafe they do have a variety of hot & cold drinks & a cute range of desserts to try - some leaning towards the asian variety. I've read past reviews where some say that the matcha lattes for them was not strong enough, but I guess I got lucky when I had mine the other week? - As I found it hard to fault anything. Service was good & friendly, & I find it a clean, well presented place to go to relax & catch up with friends. Just make sure you don't go in their most busiest hours as I believe there is limited seating. Other than that, definitely order the creme brulee as its memorably amazing & choose the hojicha menu items if you appreciate matcha flavour as they dont disappoint ! :)

Started seeing Sonder popping up in various social media feeds so decided to check it out…read more I wasn't disappointed :) Service was most pleasant, very friendly crew. One of the guys actually helped guide our car into a parking spot! The decor is super cute, with hanging plants from the ceiling and attractive lights. The space indoors is a bit tight, there's room for three booths, one long table and about four smaller ones; there are also lots of tables outside. I had the hojicha float, consisting of iced hojicha latte and hojicha ice cream. Hojicha is Japanese green tea roasted over charcoal. The latte was pleasant but the ice cream was the stand out for me! So yum. A friend had the black sesame parfait. It was served in a long glass so it was a bit difficult to eat as we wanted to mix up the various ingredients. The serving had black sesame ice cream, mochi, parfait, cream, sweetened red beans, cornflakes and matcha jelly. Once again, the ice cream was sensational! Overall, it was a really good dessert/experience and I can't wait to go back and try others!
