(I think everyone shops the way I do). They have some very nice employees working the cash who actually know the regular customers. Nice! Otherwise, this is the proletariat version of grocery shopping and not very much fun.

He just said "no we just don't allow them. They might knock things off the shelves". How is that possible? They have huge bins on the floor with shelves starting at 4-5 feet off the floor. My 2 problems are 1. Why discriminate against a class of people (mainly youth) who use skateboards as a mode of transportation or recreation. Bulk Barn is a cheap place to get snacks where you can buy something with whatever change you have in your pocket. It's not the 80's anymore. Skateboarding is not a crime. 2. The explanation given had no reason. If he was not the one that implemented the skateboard part then just admit you don't know why. Offer to ask and get back to me on my next visit. Don't lie about shelving that is too high to accidentally knock something off with a skateboard. I've knocked things off shelves when I used to carry a backpack but that's not on the sign. There are lots of items people are allowed to bring in that could have the same effect. Why pick on skateboarders?

I spotted this new supermarket as I made a left turn from Highway 27 onto Finch Avenue West. I was…read moreheading to Wok of Asia to have some dinner. I needed to pick up a few grocery items, so dropping by Food World Supermarket afterwards was perfect. This building used to Rose Garden Banquet and Convention. I'm guessing that due to the pandemic, this business suffered and shut down. There is plenty of parking in front and around this supermarket. I backed into a spot and walked in. The doors automatically open, which is wonderful. This supermarket is located across from Burger King. I often frequent it when I crave a flame-broiled burger. Both are in the same plaza as Wok of Asia. It's clean and cheerful when you first walk in. You see cases of pop and sparking water. The produce section then greets you. I needed avocados and celery. Prices are either comparable to what you see at grocery stores like No Frills, but the quality is better. Both produce items that I grabbed were fresh and in great condition. This grocery store carries halal items. It features a lot of South Asian products, such as Parle-G and paratha. You also see ramen and Ribena, both of which made me love shopping at this store even more. I saw everything from custard to paneer. It does sell corned beef in cans and rose water in glass bottles. Cool! The meat section is impressive. It's huge with every cut of meat that you can possibly think of. You can get food to go. There's a stall within the supermarket where you can get pizza, shawarma, and more. I paid for my produce. The woman at the checkout was extremely pleasant and nice. I paid with my debit card. This store gives you a plastic bag. I thanked her and headed to the exit. Just before you exit, there's a stall that sells desserts, ice cream, drinks, and more. I asked the woman behind the counter whether their drinks have added sugar. They don't. The store goes with the natural sweetness of their fruit or veggies. I wanted to get the sugar cane and coconut hydrating beverage. She had run out of coconut, so I got a large sugar cane drink. As she made my drink, I looked at the desserts display. There were individual portions of chocolate mousse cake and sponge cakes. You can also get milkshakes, ice cream, and more. She asked whether I wanted ice in my sugar cane drink. I said as much as the cup could fit the ice. It was perfect on a hot day. I asked the nice woman how long this supermarket has been open for. It opened on May 18th. I paid with my debit card. Done! I thanked the woman and left with my groceries and drink. The sugarcane was indeed the real deal. It was naturally sweet and yummy. I was happy with my drink. It was nice consuming it as I drove home. Whenever I was in the area to grab some dinner, there was never a supermarket close by to get a few grocery items. It's definitely more convenient now thanks to this Food World. (174)

I really recommend: - the berry filled jelly mini donuts (legit the FRESHEST and softest jelly donuts I've ever had. These don't last me longer than a day) - jalapeño cheddar little bread biscuits (they're near the front - dude, they're amazing) - in house made sparkling water - a better tasting, cheaper la croix in insane flavours (the orange vanilla one tastes like a creamsicle....In sparkling) - the bagels!! Herb and cheese to be exact- nothing compares to montreal bagels...but this comes pretty damn close. - the ice cream sandwiches!!! OMG. These are it. - the house-made soup! So so so good, hearty and healthy for you. They also have a cute village juicery IN STORE.
