    Roy Bond (the owner) is very dependable - in the sense that if you need him to do something on…read moreshort notice, chances are he will be able to do it. The lawn cutting itself is satisfactory, but from a customer service perspective, this company is lacking. A different crew seems to show up everytime, and there is no rhyme or reason to when the lawn will be serviced - however, I understand that this may be par for the course in this business. The real issues began recently, and it seems as if the business may be in dire straights money wise. Last season, an invoice used to be left when the services were performed, and then within a week, we would write a check out and mail it - this seemed to work out fine. However, over the off season, we had them come for a couple trash pick ups - I understand that in this case, it costs the company something to dispose of the garbage, so I understand that in this case payment at the time of service is expected, and we always did this. Now that the spring is here, we went ahead and ok'ed the spring clean-up at a much higher rate than the regular service. In my opinion, we overpaid by far for this - they were here no longer than a regular service and the results did not look much different. But, we were still ok with that. It wasn't until the next day when we were basically hunted down by the owner to write a check on demand, that he wanted to come to our home to pick up, that I started to really feel uncomfortable. Even at that point, however, I gave him the benefit of the doubt that perhaps as this was the start of the season and outside the regular service, that I could go ahead and do that for him. Our first regular service of the season came with an emailed invoice - in the notes section, the owner basically stated that he would come and cut the lawn when he saw fit, for the price he saw fit, and that the customer would have "know say about it." This is verbatim. That was the end - this wasn't a professionally run company to begin with, but to treat it's customers - especially us who have always paid in a timely (if not on demand) manner - with such harsh language - was the end of the straw. I was already contemplating that we should do it ourselves, as our price had reached $75/week for less than a half acre (I think this is way overpriced for the area), but after receiving this email, I was done. When I called and emailed to cancel service, Roy was very polite, but again began the "I`ll come to your house to pick up the check" routine for the last service, and wouldn't get the hint that we no longer wanted him at our home. We have to outright tell him, to which he answered "what if I cannot wait?" It's a shame it got to this point too, because we would have continued to use him for odds and ends, but now because of this experience we want nothing to do with the company.
