I knew the challenges that owning an English Bulldog brings....and let's just say my fur baby has most of them! Foremost a tight corkscrew tail which was a multiple daily, not so pleasant for dog and an owner, experience of cleaning and treating to prevent tail pocket issues. After a few years of dealing with this, the smell and stains and most importantly having a not so happy puppy I decided to see a new vet who could remove his tail... one visit with Dr. Liz resulted in immediately diagnosis that due to one undescended testicle, which my other vet dismissed as a non issue, was causing an over production from his anal gland and if left the testicle would cause cancer. Right now my boy has his tail... no more testicle... smells like a dream and most importantly is happy and healthy! I can not thank Dr. Liz and her staff enough! They made my dog and myself very comfortable from day one and really hung in there with us and didn't give up on helping my dog through this!! In addition their cost of care and medical services and medication was affordable! Thank you so much Spring House Animal Hospital!

Way too expensive for blood work. Will be looking for another vet. Other vets are not as expensive…read more This place was close for me to use but will travel further from now on. $295 for a 5 minutes "comprehensive exam" that didn't even cover his entire body. Complete rip off.

We thought it would a good idea to have our dog's teeth cleaned to have him in less pain for the most likely short amount of time he had left. He consequently had some extractions as well. I was assured she had done teeth cleanings on older dogs with little issues. He recovered ok, but in retrospect it wasn't a good idea. At his aftercare visit 2 weeks later he had already had diarhea as well as my dog which she also treated. She kept him overnight and provided him fluids. She said she had no idea what was wrong with him and wanted to keep him another night. I said absolutely not and took home home. I was provided Flagyl and appetite stimulant. When I picked him up he smelled like profuse urine and his backside and feet were black. I was told to call the next day to report how he was doing. When home, he got extremely worse, not eating and not drinking. I called the next day with questions and recieved no good response. We decided the next day to end his suffering and used Lap of Love to help.him pass at home with us. I then called the tech at Animal Crackers to tell her he had passed which was left with dead silence. No call back saying I'm sorry for your loss or anything from the vet as well. Lap of Love couriers the ashes to the vet and I picked them up after a phone call from Animal Crackers today. I walked in to pick his ashes and was met yet again with dead silence. Not a I'm sorry or anything. Am I wrong to expect a little damn empathy after we just lost what we consider a member of our family? I understand he was 18, but we loved him and wanted the best for him. This experience has left such a bad taste in my mouth. I especially don't trust the good reviews this vet has.
