I saw Brittany on one days notice following an I'll-advised Snowboarding trip and left feeling relaxed and much better prepared to face life and work. I will definitely use Artful Touch avid specifically Brittany again! Do yourself a favor and follow my lead! Atmosphere is excellent, quiet and clean. We called, they booked us all for 11:15. We showed up a few minutes late but no problem sitting right down in a chair - all 4 girls! Two of us got gel, 2 regular paint. Every tech was great. Both seemed like they were applying the products properly. But, within 24 hours, a couple of my dip nails were chipped and cracking so I went back and had them fixed by Betsy. I tipped her for her time but the service was complimentary. After another day or two, more nails were popping off completely and chipping still so I went back for a total redo with Hellen. She charged me $25 even after I told her how wrong and unfair that was. I asked her to have a manager call me. She called back and told me I would not be refunded but could have a $25.00 credit with her and her only when I came back. After a few more days, my toes and fingers all looked like complete crap. I've had these services done regularly for many years and have never not had the products last 2-4 weeks at least. Obviously something was really wrong with their products. I called to tell them but never heard back from anyone. Very disappointing. Will not return. New York Nail Bar has been really awesome and highly recommend their salon!

Sport Clips Haircuts of Oshkosh

Beings that I live in Downtown Oshkosh, a place that has nearly as many hair salons as it does…read morebars, I do not often have to venture out very far to get a (highly overpriced) haircut. Since am pretty much a "guy's guy" that does not learn towards the metrosexual end of the pendulum swing, some of these salon visits are a tad strange. Almost like a case study for a sociology grad student in many ways, but I digress, the cuts I get are always top notch at most of these places. The problem with most of the salons is you can't just walk in randomly and receive a cut. This is not a problem normally, but booking a haircut appointment is also not something that typically rises to the top of my list of priorities in the grand scope of my life. I look at myself in the mirror when I am getting ready for work one morning and sometimes decide that is the day to do the deed. In these situations, Sport Clips does the job just fine. They have always been very personable and professional, and they get you in and out in record time. I also like that they keep a record on file for you so that you never need to explain to the stylist how you want your hair cut. They also obviously keep other notes in their system as well, since they always oddly seem to remember my course of study in graduate school, how long I have been dating my GF and NFL teams I follow. They do always have ESPN on in the background which is bonus, but I am normally too busy chatting up the stylist to pay much attention anyway. Just avoid this place during the high traffic times like right after 5 if possible. If you show up then be prepared to wait for 45 min or more. However, they do allow you to put your name in and come back, giving you the opportunity to run some errands and come back if need be.

I don't understand what happened with my son's haircut. I would think you wouldn't want to let…read moresomeone leave your establishment looking like he did. The back of his head looked like it was trimmed with a weed wacker. He had multiple uneven layers. The cut was choppy and unprofessionally done.

I called around 10:30AM to book a same-day 1:30PM appointment. The woman who answered the phone was very kind and informative--she explained the price, payment options, and asked if I wanted any add-ons like hot stones. Super helpful and professional. When I arrived, parking was easy and convenient, and the spa was simple to find using GPS. As you walk in, there are just a few steps leading up to the front desk. I was warmly greeted and taken to the massage room after confirming my appointment. Shoes come off near the front, which helps keep the space clean and welcoming. The massage itself was amazing--I felt comfortable and relaxed the entire time. I was asked about my preferred pressure level (I chose medium), and she checked in with me a few times to make sure everything felt good. Very professional, respectful, and attentive to my needs. This is a legitimate, clean, and calming massage spa--nothing weird or uncomfortable at all. If you're looking for a reliable full body massage, a professional deep tissue massage, or just want to relax and de-stress, I highly recommend Red Rose Spa. I walked in with a mask, and she put one on without my asking her, and I thanked her for that. She started with soaking my feet for a few minutes and then thoroughly massaged them for about 30 minutes before asking me to turn over to get my back massaged. She was able to massage me with strength, and I'm sure I fell asleep several times (but I knew she was still working on me). I was visiting from out of state, so I wouldn't be able to return, but if I lived nearby, I'd be there every week!
