They make several mezzes and salads which are served by the portion so you choose as few or as many as you. They also have some meat entrees like kofte and lamb. We chose 4 different mezzes and a portion of lamb to share. Everything was delicious, the food was so flavorful. It's difficult to pick any particular item to highlight because they were all so but the pumpkin, the stuffed grape leaves and the lamb definitely are a must! The taste of homemade food comes across with every bite from beginning to end. They open for lunch from 2-5pm only, not sure if these are the hours all year round or only in the summer. The tables are all outdoor in their garden which adds a relaxing atmosphere to the dining experience.

The honey himself really enjoyed the tahini and honey mix and I was a huge fan of the different varieties of quince and orange preserves which could be spread on the local simit (or since I was in Izmir, gevrek). Additionally, I also ordered an omelet which, while it had a little too much egg and not enough meat for me, was very tasty. The tea as well was delicious and I adored the individually wrapped sugar cubes to make it a just a smidge sweeter. Another thing to note is that the orange juice served at Ayasaranda Imren is not as sweet as we're used to in the states, and had a surprising tartness to it that I enjoyed alongside the preserves. Overall, if you're in Izmir Ayasaranda Imren Restaurant has a gorgeous view and is definitely worth a stop in!
