I was referred to Dr. Dow Dao's office for a minor surgical procedure, and overall, my experience…read morewas just okay. The doctor and medical staff handled my surgery well, but the office management left a lot to be desired. When I first went in for my consultation, I was a bit shocked by the office manager, Crystal. Instead of properly greeting patients, she was yelling out names from behind a closed door. It felt unprofessional and off-putting, but I chose to overlook it and proceed with my surgery. My surgery was scheduled about three weeks later, and the procedure itself went smoothly. However, the real problem started afterward when I needed my prescribed pain medication. The pharmacy informed me that they didn't have my medication in stock and that, due to regulations, only the doctor's office could call around to find another pharmacy that carried it. When I contacted Crystal for help, she was dismissive and rude, telling me it wasn't their responsibility and that they had "other patients to deal with" before they could assist me. Keep in mind, I had just undergone surgery and was in significant pain, yet she told me it would take 1-2 days before she could even address my issue. This lack of urgency and compassion was beyond unacceptable. If an office is so overloaded that they can't properly care for post-op patients, that's a serious red flag. Thankfully, a kind pharmacist at CVS was willing to facilitate a three-way call with the doctor's office to explain the situation. Even then, Crystal remained rude and unprofessional--even toward the pharmacist. She did eventually call in my prescription, but without notifying me, and if it weren't for the pharmacist, I wouldn't have even known it was ready. The only positive interaction I had was with Jerry, the staff member who removed my stitches. He was kind, informative, and helped ease my frustration with the office. Unfortunately, dealing with Crystal was such a nightmare that I cannot in good conscience recommend this office to anyone. If you need surgery here, be prepared for unprofessionalism from the office management and an absolute lack of patient care once your procedure is done. If not for the doctor and a few kind staff members, this would have been a completely negative experience.

My doctor referred me for physical therapy at Golden Bear Physical Therapy and I am so grateful she did! As soon as I entered the office I was impressed with how friendly everyone was. There were two ladies at the front desk who were both helping other patients. One of the PT staff approached me and helped me start the paperwork as a new patient. Usually employees will "stay in their own lane", so I was pleasantly surprised by this. The PT who conducted my evaluation immediately diagnosed my injury as a rotator cuff injury which thankfully was not torn! He performed some manipulation of my shoulder and even though it was uncomfortable, after he finished I experienced so much relief. He gave me a set of exercises to do at home which I happily do twice per day. Each of my follow up visits have been efficient and effective. I have experienced so much progress and improvement in just four visits. I'm excited to see how far I will go with my progress! I cannot recommend Golden Bear highly enough. All of the employees I've encountered have been amazing. If you ever need PT services in the Turlock area, definitely give Golden Bear a try!

Everyone at Golden Bear makes sure you are being challenged in your rehab and recovery and couldn't have been more helpful and nice. Caleb Fontes is exceptional and knowledgeable as a physical therapist. Caleb was instrumental in my recovery and outcome to get me back on the tennis courts. The front desk staff is also an asset to Golden Bear, especially Anita and Jesse. I look forward to choosing Golden Bear again for my knee replacement recovery!

I had been going to a podiatrist in Modesto for about seven years. He went to a medical group that…read moredoes not take my insurance so I headed back to Dr Patino (who I had seen in the past, about 30 years ago & whose medical records were SO detailed that they were extremely beneficial in my getting approved for Social security disability on my first application AND without an attorney. Furthermore, Dr. Patino did not charge me one single dime for his time In completing the government paperwork, although he was certainly entitled to do so. He is by far the most caring, competent, friendly, patient, and empathetic doctor I have encountered in at least three decades. I thought my previous podiatrist was the cat's pajamas. Dr Patino performs services for me that my former podiatrist flat out refused. He takes at least twice as long as my last guy. Oh and did I mention my former podiatrist teaming up with one of the largest healthcare industries in America (disease care actually is more accurate) was purely to get away from the administrative hassles of running his small three doctor office? I'm fully expecting That love affair to terminate within a year and I won't be going back to him. I'm sticking with Dr Patino for as long as he will see me. As far as the office staff or hours or putting the phones on the exchange, I've not experienced any of what Elizabeth A was bitching about. My personal opinion is the review should be about the doctor, Not the staff. If you have a complaint about staff sure go ahead and mention it, And if it's really horrific knock off one star. But the review is for the doctor. It's our responsibility to know how to get To the doctor's office before we set out for our appointment. If we have any questions about Google Maps or whatever we're using to guide us, Then we should call in advance and clarify. Elizabeth says her appointment was at 10:30 And acknowledges she was very late, yet it starts it's not her fault And the doctor should have opened up his doors during the staff lunch hour and seen her despite being ridiculously late. She does not know what his schedule was like for that afternoon. He may have been operating for all she knows. Or maybe he had a family member who was ill and had planned a minimum day. Who knows? I do not do a lot of reviews. IF I COULD ADD A STAR, I WOULD.

The first time I came into this office, I met a very nice gentleman who left shortly after I had my…read moreappointment evidently he didn't like it here either. The girl I dealt with at the front was rather snooty. I couldn't find their office. I was stuck out in the country with no map help on my phone my car nothing so I kind of went by the braille method to get to the appointment. I called and explain that to them that I was going to be late and what was happening. She didn't advise any other route to take. And when I got there. Their hours are to be closed from 12 to one. This is never consistent. I stood out in the sun. The entire lunch hour watched as their meal was brought in and didn't get to go until quarter after one. My appointment was at 11:30. I take full responsibility for being late although it wasn't my fault I was still late. so when they did open, she just said oh no, we're not taking you so I drove all the way out to Turlock for nothing all I needed to do was set up surgery I get back from my vacation, and they have changed their phone number when I finally got the correct number I called them at 10:30 and they were already on the exchange. I think they do more playing around than they do working. I don't know if I will be going back as this is the only podiatrist on my insurance and I do need surgery. I highly recommend their office. I've never met Dr. Patino. Obviously I can't get in. But I do know the exchange lady rather well now. so maybe I'll call and make a date with her to have coffee and talk about my foot. good grief. Customer service is really a thing of the past isn't it? So sad. This is for West Coast Podiatry Inc. Turlock. Like I say, I've never met the owner Dr. Patino. He may be a very, very nice man. But I'm not sure I will ever find out. We have to ask the exchange. which seems to be the only thing that works for them at any hour of the day.
