Receptionist answered…read morethe phone with a nasty attitude herself, partially because she was upset that I didn't have the info she wanted handy and had to place me on hold while I looked for the info. When she got back on the line she knew nothing about WC injuries as she couldn't understand what a "CT" injury is. I proceeded to inquire on their available providers. She placed me on hold and transferred me to their coordinator. Coordinator picked up the line, advised the reason for my call and she had the nerve to say they're not accepting injuries older than 6 months. Advised her mine is less than 6 months old and she said they're not accepting new patients at all. Asked her why I wasn't just told that from the beginning (because I knew they were trying to BS me at this point) and the coordinator said they're a small practice and won't accept my "horrible attitude". Crazy because for being a small practice you'd think they'd actually have customer service. Some food for thought for this white trash hole- maybe you should treat others the with the same attitude you want to be treated, and maybe try getting a receptionist who knows about what your office has to offer so that someone doesn't have to dumb it down for her??? Wished I read the previous reviews before I even wasted my time calling this stupidity of a clinic. Call literally only lasted 6 minutes LOL

Let's just say, Romeo Clinic is not that. As someone who works in a professional setting, I know how important it is for customer service to start with the person who picks up the phone. The receptionist and staff are not only uninformed. but have zero compassionate for potential patients. I wasn't even calling for myself and I couldn't imagine having my client call to ask for help. I would not want anyone to experience what I experienced on the other side of the phone. The people calling are patients with real medical needs that are already having a difficult time navigating the unfortunate hassle it takes to speak with Insurance companies and various doctors and all while dealing with painful injuries or conditions. I understand that sometimes it's easy to forget that we deal with people's real life situations but when you work in a professional setting you must always put your patients/customers/clients first. Romeo does not provide that type of care or support for existing or potential patients.

My doctor referred me for physical therapy at Golden Bear Physical Therapy and I am so grateful she did! As soon as I entered the office I was impressed with how friendly everyone was. There were two ladies at the front desk who were both helping other patients. One of the PT staff approached me and helped me start the paperwork as a new patient. Usually employees will "stay in their own lane", so I was pleasantly surprised by this. The PT who conducted my evaluation immediately diagnosed my injury as a rotator cuff injury which thankfully was not torn! He performed some manipulation of my shoulder and even though it was uncomfortable, after he finished I experienced so much relief. He gave me a set of exercises to do at home which I happily do twice per day. Each of my follow up visits have been efficient and effective. I have experienced so much progress and improvement in just four visits. I'm excited to see how far I will go with my progress! I cannot recommend Golden Bear highly enough. All of the employees I've encountered have been amazing. If you ever need PT services in the Turlock area, definitely give Golden Bear a try!

Everyone at Golden Bear makes sure you are being challenged in your rehab and recovery and couldn't have been more helpful and nice. Caleb Fontes is exceptional and knowledgeable as a physical therapist. Caleb was instrumental in my recovery and outcome to get me back on the tennis courts. The front desk staff is also an asset to Golden Bear, especially Anita and Jesse. I look forward to choosing Golden Bear again for my knee replacement recovery!

About 10 years ago, I developed severe elbow tendinitis in my left arm--so bad that I couldn't even pick things up without pain. I tried everything: my family doctor prescribed anti-inflammatories and rest, which I followed for nearly six months. But as soon as I tried to lift anything again, the pain came right back. Next, I saw a sports medicine specialist who referred me to physical therapy. After weeks of treatment, I still had no relief. Out of options and frustrated, I started researching online and came across Active Release Therapy (ART). Dr. Akin was listed as a certified provider, so I figured I had nothing to lose. From my very first visit, Dr. Akin was attentive and thorough. He listened carefully, gave me a full assessment, and told me he believed he could resolve my issue in 6-8 visits. I'll be honest--I was skeptical. After a year of failed treatments, it was hard to believe this could be fixed that quickly. But sure enough, after just 6 sessions, the pain in my elbow was gone. I was able to return to working out and even started competing in Spartan Races. Since then, I've continued to see Dr. Akin--not for injury, but for regular "tune-ups." Whether it's soreness from racing, posture-related aches from office work, or just the effects of aging, he always helps relieve my discomfort. Even my son, who plays football, sees Dr. Akin during the season to stay in top shape. Dr. Akin has truly been a lifesaver for me and my family. His knowledge, honesty, and effectiveness make him one of the best out there.
