Since we moved to Oerlikon, we started more and more to have brunches and dinners in Chayenne. The…read morefood is great and it always seemed very fresh. The atmosphere is very joyful and, unlike many Zurich places, it is almost always populated by young (and noisy) people, who want to have a good time. I find this very relaxing.
There are also available seats at the bar and often people are standing as well, since big groups of friends joining after work is a common view there.
The strongest point of the place is, in my opinion, it'a brunch selection. On weekends, you can serve brunch until as late as 4 pm. Try their omelette, it is delicious! (I got the New York one). Also, they serve breakfast combos (i chose the American and the Swiss one), which are very expensive (up to even 30 CHF if I remember well), but they are worth it! The combos are enough for two people and they are very diverse. I would be happy if they offered more drinks as included in the combo though.
However, be prepared to pay Zurich prices. It's an expensive place, but I never regretted spending money there. Enjoy!
