Dr. Lee and Carly Matthews, his PA, explained every detail of what could happen in surgery, good and bad, in a way where I didn't feel I needed to pull out a medical dictionary. He reiterated at the pre-op appointment and on the day of surgery exactly what he would be removing and re-implanting during the procedure from start to finish and I knew I was in good hands which is always a plus before you entrust a surgeon to make that first cut. I received first rate care from everyone I interacted with starting on the day of the initial consultation at his office as well as with the coordinator who scheduled the surgery, the nurses and Anesthetists on the day of the procedure at the River's Edge 1-Day Surgery Center and then back at the office for post-op care. My husband is in the medical field and looks for faults with providers and their staff but couldn't find any flaws with Dr. Lee and his team. It's been 3 weeks since surgery and I couldn't be happier with the end results as compared to what I had prior to surgery. The services and products did not work for me and ultimately I started taking an oral medication through my dermatologist that started working within 8 weeks. It was almost $6,000 for a two year contract and I might of stopped losing so quickly but did not regrow any hair. Also, the equipment they use to assess your hair at the scalp would frequently be out of order for months at a time. Assessing your scalp was supposed to be done monthly. Not worth it.

What a wonderful experience…read more I've had what I'd describe as a subtle raised sun spot (semi wart) on my chest for many years, not sure exactly how long. Since it was benign and not too large like skin tags/warts typically are, I didn't give it much thought. But finally decided to see if it could be removed without scarring. Looked online and there weren't many places that focus on that type of procedures with a lot of reviews, but ultimately choose Dr. Bartels, because there were a couple reviews on Google (all 5 star), conveniently located, and good website/contact form. Reached out asking for details and heard back with answers to my initial questions as well as scheduling an appointment. They noted, if the consultation was successful they can do the procedure at the same time, which I opted for. It's located at a complex of offices that can be a little confusing but they provided detailed instructions prior so didn't run into any issues. Arrived and was greeted right away. Completed the paper work, and then immediately was greeted by Dr. Bartel and his registered nurse Ms. Dozois. Like the coordinator Katherine, they were all very friendly and welcoming. Answered some initial questions with Ms. Dozois and then was quickly seen by Dr. Bartels. who confirmed I was good candidate, and after light numbing agent started the procedure. The initial shot was virtually painless, and due to the location felt nothing doing the procedure which was done in under 10 minutes. While I wasn't nervous at all, I didn't expect it to be so easy, which was a great surprise. The doctor and staff all have a great bed side manor and we chatted after about post procedure steps including an ointment included and scheduling a followup appointment. The process of course is not cheap, especially if you have multiple items needing to be removed, but you get what you pay for, and certainly a great value compared to attempting home remedies or from less experienced professionals. I'll try to remember to post a follow up on the results in a couple months but over confident it will turn out great, and while I can't comment from experience on any of the other services offered, if it's anything like the service I received, then I imagine they will go splendidly as well. Highly recommended and may take a look at a few of their other services down the road. I am EXTREMELY disappointed with the way this practice lacks care and consideration for their…read morepatients. Due to bus traffic we were 6 minutes late to the appointment. We stood in the waiting room behind the patient in front of us who was checking in. Once that patient was checked in and they got to us they did not indicate we couldn't be seen. They proceeded to go through the paperwork, taking the insurance card and copying it, etc. Once all of that was done the receptionist said she would let them know we were there. She then said they couldn't see us because we were past the strict 10 minute policy. My poor son is 5 years old and has had sudden hearing loss for the past 6 days. I understand having a late policy and needing to stick to it. How there was not consideration for the fact that we were NOT 10 minutes late and we were waiting to be checked in, in addition to the fact that life happens (getting stuck behind a bus) AND there was no care about the fact that we are talking about the sudden loss of hearing of a 5 year old child is beyond me. If the practice can not treat their patients with care and function black and white without consideration of barriers beyond control of their patients then I do not want to be cared for here. When we left my poor child said "Wait what are we doing? I can't hear. They were going to help me." ...I thought the same.
