We have used Zimmerman for several years to process our deer and until this year were pleased. This year not so much... took quite a while for the first deer. We checked about it when we took our second deer and were told it wasn't done, Then were called telling us it was done and it was totally frozen when we went back to pick it up. Then we kept waiting for a call about the second deer, finally called them and they couldn't find it. Finally called a said they had it ready, When we went to pick it up the ground meat was frozen and the amount looked fairly reasonable. but the steaks and loin was a very small amount and really looked like they had just pieced some meat together. read more

My son took a 1150# beef to Zimmerman in Summersville. He brought home a little over 500# of meat. This steer was grain fed in a lot for 2 1/2 months. I questioned the small amount of meat & was told that was all we got. Found 3 tiny pkg of beef fillet, when opened the little thin pkgs. they had put 2 tiny pieces of grisly meat into each 1 pkg. the pictures are attached. This looks more like stuff found between the ribs. The strip steak doesn't look much better. SO DISAPPOINTED. read more

I have had my deer processed there for 3 yrs now. You will not fine a cleaner place to get your deer ,beef or pork done. They vacuum pack all your meat and make some of the best summer sausage with your venison i have ever ate. I drive 11/2 to take my deer to them. The thing is I could go to one that is 15 miles away. Only to me it is worth the drive to take it to them. read more
