Basically, you really only have two options here, DC or Marvel, though there might be a shelf that has a smattering of independent comics, or another shelf that might have some Dark Horse ones as well, but that is basically it. This is one of those comic shops, which means that the selection really isn't all that great, unless of course you are into the affore mentioned comics. Still, the service wasn't all that bad, so I'll give it that.

Another example of Hollywood messing with my expectations. The store was empty except for the attendant, who was actually quite friendly, and not at all disarmed by my inherent female-ness. Strike one, Comic Shop. How dare you not be in awe of my femininity? In all seriousness, it's a cute little store, that I would love and frequent often were I the slightest bit interested in comic books. Even I, a comic book novice, can tell that the shelves are stacked with all manner of comic books, from Spiderman to ... I don't know, Batman? My knowledge of comics is limited, forgive. The attendant seemed very accommodating and helpful, and suggested a bunch of things that I could read for my foray into the comic book world. I entered the store primarily because it looked FUN. The sign is all in bright colours, and the entrance is a spooky, mysterious looking alleyway.. how could I not poke my head in?

I personally love Japanese culture, so I am really glad to have this store open up near us…read morerecently. Their art & craft supplies definitely come in handy for journalling/school work/work in general, and their stuff is much cheaper to get than the stationary/art supplies that can be found in Kmart. They have other things as well that aren't related to stationary/art. They also have imported Japanese food, homeware etc. You will definitely find something in this store that will cater to your needs/wants.

I should just put that out there…read more So when the newest owners took over the Wahroonga bookstore (there's been one in this location since 1917) and added all sorts of gorgeous gift items to grace the shelves alongside my beloved books, I redoubled my love. Novella (I adore the name!) is the perfect one-stop-shop for pretty much every occasion. If you can't find the right book to gift (yes, I still give books as gifts - is that old-fashioned yet?), then you'll be sure to find a cute piece of jewellery, some lovely crockery or even some particularly gorgeous leather-goods. And of course you can buy a cards to cap things off. So much for attempting to spend less time in bookstores!

I have tried the theatre out a few times with a close friend who is deaf. I rang the theatre...but told to leave a message twice....ummm. I emailed the theatre. I have requested the "Captioned View"device and both times there has been a slight problem.They responded with an email that only left me a choice of one time to see the movie. I will persist in getting it right though. Then the staff were most helpful in replacing the machine that was faulty. However in my survey of the experience on another website I did mention that there needs to be more of these machines at any one time and all movies should have closed captions available at the theatre. We only had the choice of one movie at three different times. So I am only giving the theatre two stars as it really isn't being equitable to hearing impaired / deaf individuals. On a positive note the movie was excellent and we did have an enjoyable night.

The main ticket booths are almost always closed, and you get your tickets in the Scoop Alley counters. This sometimes makes for long queues as people getting food and tickets would all be in the same queue, and there would often only be two counters open. Most people who purchase their tickets online get confused and often queue up not knowing they can skip the line, as the sign for priority tickets is a bit out of place in the Scoop Alley counters. If you order hot food, they note down your seat number and deliver your food to you, so that's a big plus for me. The downside to that though is the hot food isn't really that tasty. You can get your parking ticket validated if you enter before 6PM, otherwise the parking is free.

Any book lover is in heaven right here. Despite the number of books for sale being way greater than…read morethe number of space available to store these books for sale; the owners have done extremely well and have made a great art out of this. The books are extremely neat and well stocked: this definitely defies the trend of used book stores. Usually they are messy and the walking space is cramped and limited: not so much at this establishment. Spacious and well inviting shop front with friendly staff manning the counter all the time with great service to boot which is a beautiful thing. Vinnies will pass on this occasion as well. And the flea markets too. This establishment is well set up and designed to give any of those nearby second hand book stores in Glebe a good run for their money. Books almost falling apart almost sell like hotcakes here, and at great prices too. My foster mum is really in heaven here as well. She loves books and always ends up with half a plastic bag full of them after her experiences book shopping here. And with a village atmosphere; what is there to not love here?

I drove 30 mins (passed my suburb) to go to Casey's Toys on Blaxland Rd, Campbelltown to buy some…read moregrand children's toys after 5.30pm on a Thursday night as this is only 1 of 2 chances I get to shop, I work 9.30-6pm 6 days a week, approaching the store I could see the lights on so knew it was open but when approached the store it was closed, there was no opening/closing sign on the doors. I spoke with a worker outside who told me the store does not stay open on late night shopping which I thought was ridiculous especially near Xmas, another 4 people approached the store also wanting to buy either in Casey's toys or the Xmas section. I was quite frustrated, so much for looking after customers & obviously the owner must not want this service. I don't get it after all the time stores weren't allowed opened during Covid & they can't even be bothered to open at least to 7 or 8pm on a Thursday evening.....the worker stated that the owner stated there are plenty of toy stores in the area, sorry but there isn't & this store had the toys I needed whereas the other stores didn't.....NOT GOOD BUSINESS!!!!!!!!!! PS: I am from Campbelltown area not USA lol.....
