Rabbi Meir, Rabbi Tara and Cantor Adam are vibrant people who make the service come alive. The services are beautiful, powerful, and meaningful. The prayers are set to uplifting melodies and are enjoyable to attend. There are two sanctuaries. There is a smaller one that is older that is breathtaking. The larger one seats over 400 people and was designed by a famous architect. The congregants range from young families to seniors and are all welcoming. There are many opportunities to get involved and take interesting classes. I took the beginner Hebrew class for adults and found it helpful. I am also impressed by the overall operation and management of TBE by Executive Director, Stu Botwinick. Stu, Dafna, and Joy (who run the TBE office) are responsive, helpful, organized and warm. TBE's medical advisory committee is excellent and TBE adheres to strict COVID safety policies and measures. Lastly, TBE's caterer is W Kosher Catering. Craig is a pleasure to work with. Food is delicious and was beautifully presented. Wonderful place for a simcha. Love the roof deck!

All the members are very welcoming to new members and visitors. Religious education is extremely important to the Rabbi, the children's Hebrew teachers and the education committee. We have been attending the services for over 10 years and always find caring wonderful people. They have many events from game nights to stage shows. They immediately treat you as "family". I can't imagine my world without this synagogue and especially the people of the congregation. Congregation Beth Sholom is truly the best hidden in plain sight gem of Babylon and Long Island!

I was attending mass at Our Lady Of Loretto Church in hempstead New York. After the mass, the…read moresocial services dept of the church made a speech. Ana from Social Services stated " if anyone is suffering a hardship to please come fill out an application and that they will do everything to try to help the community. I went to the basement of the church with my wife and she interviewed us. Ana told us that someone would be calling us to setup a house visit.I called the church and I was told that they can't help me any further and that I have to personally speak with St Vincent de Paul. Since April I haven't heard from anybody. In July I was called by a volunteer Rosalba whom on multiple occasions kept asking for my paystubs, car insurance documents,phone bill, energy bill etc. I've forwarded these documents multiple times . First I was told I qualify for help with one months rent. Then she calls me to tell me that she doesn't think I qualify. Then I've spoken with Paula many times whom told me that she was going to speak with Rosalba and someone in charge in giving help. It's now the new year and I haven't heard back from St Vincent De Paul. I'm a Catholic and I feel that everyone should be treated equal regardless of race, or nationality. I've spoken with Obisto Romero and I will also be making a formal complaint with Father Rufus Vasquez. God Bless everyone in St Vincent De Paul and hopefully someone reads this and at least helps me with one month of rent. I hope that god blesses Rosalba to make the right decision and try to help me. Coming from a Catholic Church it really doesn't look right how you preach to people all the help you can provide and yet you do nothing to help anyone. You should practice what you preach . Also it's not fair to help only one type of race which I can't say on hear and the rest of people left out. We are all gods children and should be treated equally as such.

This church also afforded me the ability to do what ended up being the 2nd biggest highlight of my life so far (1st was getting born again), which was to do missions work in Kenya. Highly recommend!
