This place was awesome. Probably the best time I have had in a long time. We got to the shop about noon, they got us on four bikes with helmets and out the door in about 15 minutes. They showed us how to operate the bikes and we were off. These things can fly if you want them to. The speed is entirely up to you. It was the best way imaginable to enjoy Galveston. Riding on the beach was amazing. We rode for over 4 hours and everyone had a blast. I can't think of anything that would give a better value for that much fun. They are incredibly nice people. We didn't listen to the instructions closely enough at the beginning telling us how to save on battery life so when we were at the farthest point away from the shop, about 15-20 miles, we had two bikes run out of battery life. If we would have listened it wouldn't have happened. But, when we called them, they left in the middle of a busy day and not only brought two batteries to us, but cold bottles of water also. It was a tremendous experience so for a couple of us in our forties and a couple of 14 year olds, we couldn't have asked for more. Will definitely do it every time we go down there. Can't believe how long the batteries last on those bikes! If you don't run them hard and petal a little as you go it'd last a whole day without charge. We went on a whim and rode down the beach & back and through town and it used like 1/8 of the battery over 2 hours. We got called back to work early and although we rented for 4 hours, we returned early and got credit back for the un-used time. The owner seems to be there almost if the time and will guide you to the best places to ride. Free helmet rental included. Also if you're nice I'm sure they'll give you a free basket and bungee cord for your bikes like they did for us. Locks are included too. I saw people renting regular non-electric bikes and couldn't fathom why because the cost is not that much more for an Ebike plus you get to see so much more without getting tired and sweaty. Also we found out that if you rent from here you get a discount on tickets including Galveston Water Adventures 1 hour dolphin boat tour, so the tickets were only about $10 per person for that. Instead of walking to the sea wall my wife and me decided to try biking it there. Renting a bike from Zipp E Bikes was easy and painless experience. These bikes are electrical bikes so they can go really fast. I fully recommend this place to rent a bike. If you want your money's worth rent it for two hours it only cost 35 dollars. Early in our visit to Galveston, we took the "E-Bike Island Adventure Tour" of the city in hope that we would get a general idea of the points of interest, lay of the land, and a little history of Galveston. Our 2 hour tour did not disappoint and in addition we had fun riding on an abandoned go-cart track and a quiet stretch of beach. We recommend this interesting, historical, and enjoyable ride. read more

The staff was extremely friendly explained everything needed. The bikes were extremely easy to ride and really fun we rode up to the Seawall and down on the beach and had no problem either place. The bikes even come with locks so we were able to stop at stores and restaurants to grab food without having to worry about leaving the bike anywhere.
