Cruising in a golf cart on the main strip by the beach? Sure! Never did it before so let's goooo! The staff was friendly and it was easy to reserve. Got 2 hours for 80$ which was a deal compared to the other rental places around. We rented out a 6 seater which was perfect for the fam bam. The max speed was 35mph so there were a few streets that was off limits due to minimum speed of 40mph or above, a map was provided to show the restrictions. A lot of Galveston Island could still be occupied with the golf cart. We stayed mostly on Seawall (street by the ocean) as it was the most scenic route to us. Must drive on the right side as that is the slow lane. Our cart had a newly placed speaker that had bluetooth capability and we really enjoyed bumping our tunes. The whole family enjoyed the ride and definitely marks a memory for a different experience. When we returned the cart, we wanted to purchase a funnel cake but they said the kitchen was closed. A worker came out and offered us an order of deep fried Oreos (6 came in an order) for free since someone didn't pick it up, and they were delicious! Thanks for the great service! I visited the snack shack just as they were beginning to open. The owner was incredibly cheerful and told me to come back in an hour. I did! Took my food home and my family made me go back for more. The staff was very nice, cheerful and made sure I had everything I needed. Unfortunately it stormed most of my trip so they were closed anytime I went by for the rest of the week. Beware!! They charge extra fees and fines. They charge me an extra $30 for a scooter because my wife sat on it for 5 mins. These scooters were two seaters. We didn't even ride for 30 mins and was charged $100. Complete rip off. Plenty of better rental places in the sea wall than this place. read more

*****Update: The owner called us back. She was very nice and professional. She offered half our refund back. That's all we asked for anyway.***** I had the worst customer service experience here. We rented a group bike for two hours. We only had two hours to spend in Galveston. We were able to drive for less than one hour due to a flat tire. We literally made it down the street to Murdoch's. When we made it back to the shop and the manager showed back up, our two hours were done and the manager refused to even give a partial refund. We spent $50 to drive a bike for 45 minutes and were offered a card to come back for free. He swore he mentioned a "no refund policy" but he didn't, nobody in our party heard him say that. This "manager" did come pick us up down the street but said that we should be thankful he picked us up and took us back to the shop instead of us walking. Like the flat tire within half a mile was our fault? He was so full of excuses and he ended up saying that the owner would call us. Why would I trust that? So I insisted on getting the owner's number myself. The guy still refused and only after the cops showed up, were we handed a card with the owner's number on it. I live 5 hours away and have been to Houston once in the last 5 years. A card to comeback does not replace my lost time or lost money. read more

Upon my arrival, a customer had to end their ride early due to poor cold weather conditions and Al, the store owner, offered them free bike rentals on any other day they'd like. That alone showed great service and I hadn't even stepped a foot into the door. Al gave us a great deal for myself and my two cousins and told us we can ride for as long as we'd like. We probably traveled the whole island. Jungle surf also offer many other options such as surfing equipment, motor vehicles, and even food! As we were checking out, Al even offered free snow cones with our visit! Overall, Al and Jungle Surf is a great place to rent plenty of gear. We rented a two person bike, the price was reasonable. The shop is about 25 minutes from the pier biking and if you want to get off you can because they provide a lock. We rode it for about 4 hours and had no mechanical issues with the bike. The owners are very kind and willing to help if any issues were to come up. We had such a great experience with Al that even our kids are still saying how nice "that guy" was. He went far above and beyond what I would have thought from a local bike rental shop and made a fun beach experience into, really, an unforgettable one for our family (even printing up each of our three girls' names and attaching them to bikes. Such a fun and kind gesture after we had asked if he had any bikes that needed names). We so appreciated his hospitality and friendliness. Make sure to ask for a scoop of vanilla ice cream in your snow cone. I imagine he would be more than happy to oblige this request to other guests as well. read more

This was our first time cycling - from the moment we arrived customer service at its finest. We were given the 2 hour plus free snow cone! The pricing was very reasonable and the bicycle was in great condition. This is a family owned business and we were happy to use their services. From the moment we arrived with our fur baby, Cole offered cold water for her. We got set up with a bike, a towel to place our dog.. and a lock for your bike. He pushed us and we were on our way. After 2 hours, we got back and again were offered water and treats for our dog, we met Al. Super nice guy! Cole walked us over to the snow one area, we got our snow cones and a funnel cake that was to DIE for! It was the cookies and cream- specialty funnel cake, we will come back to try the rest of the flavors! Al was the greatest! We showed up first thing in the morning, before he was even really open and he accommodated us with a great deal on some bikes. He also provided bike locks, which was great, as we could stop for a drink or some lunch without worrying.
