I recently had a super minor issue with the lock on my door. Kyle was fast to respond and set up an appointment. When he came and we figured out it was just the batteries on my lock that needed to be changed, Kyle was very patient in showing me how to change it and explained how to check for it on the monitor. It looks like we were just a minority in the introduction we experienced with Zmana as this business does look like it provides quality products and services. My poor review comes from a customer service stand point. Long story short, we purchased a home in which Zmana was already integrated into the system. All we had to do was call Zmana directly to set this up. I ended up working with Kevin Aboud and discovered that my husband was put as the main point of contact on the account. We scheduled our standard service not long out and I requested to see what upgraded options would be available. Kevin took my email address down and assured me he would have a technician email BOTH me and my husband a list of upgraded offerings. I let my husband know and we both awaited the email of what could be offered. Fast forward its right before the visit and the technician ends up TEXTING my husband a brief list and total cost to install an additional product for quite a high figure. My husband concerned for the fee asked to cancel the visit for now and we will reschedule as we would be unavailable for some time after that. Here is where things went sour... the tech ends up being confused about the cancelation and ends up CC'ing my husband on an email to Kevin. Kevin then replies back stating my husband "doesn't know what he wants" and I "want it all". Basically claiming we are not on the same page. Well its definitely hard for both of us to be on the same page when Kevin fails to follow through with his promise to have us both given a detailed list of what could be done. Would you not have some concern that you are all of a sudden receiving a shanty quote via text message from a random number? I took this issue to Zmana's customer service and worked with Carly. She was definitely helpful and profusely apologized for this unprofessional behavior. Shockingly, Kevin's title shows as a "Partner" with Zmana. Maybe some additional training wouldn't hurt a higher up? Word of advice, make sure you don't CC your clients/customers when talking smack about them. We ended up forgoing their services. read more

Bought a brand new build in 2023 and had Zmana come and install our security camera system with no issues. Our door bell camera started acting up little over a year after install. Tried to diagnose ourselves but to no avail, reached out to Zmana for help. Kyle one of their technicians came and got it figured that the camera itself was no good, came back within a couple days swapped it out with a new one and works awesome now. After having tried many different brands and styles, I decided to have professionals consolidate my 2 different systems into 1 brand. After doing.my research and obtaining prices, my final decision went with Zmana. I requested a survey/quote to see how and how much to consolidate into a newer user friendly system. After meeting with Kevin who assured me that their cameras are the best but that I would also be happy with their service. We signed their contract and able to get an install lock date.. They sent Cody, their foreman and am completely happy with the final product!! Our ZMANA technician, Kyle, showed up promptly at the scheduled appointment time today. He was very courteous, introduced himself, explained why he was here and provided an estimate on how long it would take. He worked without any hesitation and completed the repair/replacement faster than his estimated time. After which he waited for and validated completion of the software upgrade. He reviewed everything he had done, showed up us the view of the new doorbell camera from our phones and helped set the proper notifications. This is actually my second review of Zmana. My first was written after a couple months of their service and it's now been about a year and half so I can provide a different perspective. As a family we've had a home security 25+ years with maybe 3-5 providers. Until Zmana each provider was a bit sketchy (things like going - out of business with no warning, etc.). But when Zmana came to our home, listened to our needs, shared their approach and available services, I was very optimistic. And since we became Zmana customers that optimism was appropriate.
