Man, what wonderful service I received here. Juliet just about held my hand walking me through all the double checking I wanted to do. Patient, kind and professional, she really brought the human touch (without actually touching a human) to this department. Mary Ann, likewise was awesome and helpful. And it's a good thing, as I had them laughing at my corny jokes, Rob, their supervisor, came up to the front counter as well. As it would turn out, Rob and I go the same church, Riverpark Bible Church. Go Riverpark! Anyway, as a result of this trip and the fantastic service, I learned that I need to take advantage of a 'Homeowner's Exemption Form' that essentially with reduce the value from which the property is taxed about 7K. Then when I proceeded to go they would not give it to me since my I.D IS 2 days expired! I just had my birthday. Instead I called my bf and to see if he was willing to get it. So he drove a whole hour later.. just for the staff to reject him too! They lied and said he came. We are able to provide the book for you. Even asked for my last name to put on the book with a sticky note. But why would you need my last name if my man is coming to provide his info???? They didn't even acknowledge us when I came the second time back with my boyfriend. Then they proceeded to lie and say oh there was no book! Like wow!!!! They need to really hire friendly and helpful staff. Not children who give no eye contact. The Asian guy, black girl, and blonde just stared. The only help was the shaved girl with glasses and she had no location for the book but was the one who lied and told me that I should wait an hour until my boyfriend got there. I will never come back in this library again, it was an awful experience. They were not working but instead on their phones staring at the desk down and not up to see how they can help. I had to ask the Asian guy to go get whoever is ahead in charge because he told me he didn't want to help us. Fresno state... why are you having kids work here if they can't talk to the public like adults?

This building is one of a kind and apparently is a National Landmark originally built in 1916, was the first permanent structure of the Fresno State College campus and is now the iconic center of the Fresno City College campus. Its hard to believe if tourist do not tour this amazing building and take the opportunity to walk around it, because it's so beautiful and unique. During weekdays the building is free to roam inside since its open for classes ( this is a functional college classroom), the building interior is just massive and really feels like something you see in the movies when they portray the schools and hallways. During weekends you can expect to at walk around the building and courtyard and take photo of this iconic Fresno landmark because the interior might be closed. There are plenty of parking around the area, and its free, try to avoid parking on campus since you have to pay for it, instead park near the housing are, its free and easy to get, and its only a walk away. There is a gorgeous courtyard that must be seen, its like walking in hogwarts from harry potter, or at least thats how I felt. Really worth a visit, and walks away is the amazing library, with the same exact architecture but will also amaze you with the grand interior. The building I learned was built of solid brick with tapestry face brick. The roof covering is mission clay tile. Among its decorative features are handmade hard-burned bricks, classic ornamentation at the main and secondary entrances, classic brick arches and stone balconies overlooking central courtyards, and lavish Moorish geometric details in brick on the east and west walls of the auditorium and above the arches of the covered walks around the perimeter of the courts. Its a shame if you dont visit this place.

First, the owners: Gena and her partner were first rate hosts, just really nice people who created such a welcoming environment. We tried their rum and aged brandy as well as their ready-to-drink old fashioned and Manhattan. The rum could probably sit a few more years, which they admitted they'd been told before, but the other drinks were standouts. The old fashioned was strong yet smooth, with a subtle spice to it. The manhattan was a bit lighter for me, but my wife enjoyed it a lot. The brandy...let's just say I considered not visiting any other wineries after tasting that. I would gladly buy my spirits exclusively from Marian Farms from now on. Go check them out!

I drove past Brix Mansion probably a hundred times before I actually stopped to look at it properly…read moreand I'm annoyed it took me that long. this building is stunning. built in 1889 and it still commands the whole block on Fresno Street. the architecture is the kind you just don't see anymore, ornate, detailed, genuinely grand. standing in front of it you get this weird feeling like you accidentally walked into a different century. it's on the National Register of Historic Places which it absolutely deserves. Fresno has more history than people give it credit for and Brix Mansion is one of the best physical reminders of that. if you're into architecture, local history, or just beautiful old buildings it's worth a deliberate visit not just a drive by. bring your camera because the photos basically take themselves. it's the kind of thing that makes you proud your city has preserved it and also a little sad most locals probably don't know its there. now you do. go look at it.

Plus if you do visit this building, it wont be the only thing on your list to visit because 1 block away is the St John Cathedral and also the Meux mansion. There is no parking around its since its really close to the community hospital, I would suggest parking on R street near the church and take the opportunity to appreciate and take pictures of this architecture marvel. It looks like something that should be in Hollywood to be honest. most people in Fresno can pass it without even knowing that they have this beautiful building. If you must know the building was constructed for Herman H. and Helena S. Brix in 1910-1911. Herman H. Brix made a pioneering contribution to the development of Coalinga and was influential in the commercial expansion of Fresno. In addition to its historical associations, the Brix Mansion possesses considerable architectural significance. Designed by architect Edward T. Foulkes, it represents a brilliant example of a period-inspired Italian Villa, the only residence in Fresno built in this lavishly-embellished style. When ahead and put the car on jack stands and next thing you know the ground caved in and the car fell with a loud bang, my mom came out screaming thinking the worst but thankfully I was in the back of the house getting something. I am thankful that I didn't get injured and that the car is fine but this is just beyond unacceptable that this company could have done just a cheap job!
