I was in the Phoenix area for work and was really looking forward to checking this place out as I try to always spend money at small local businesses when I travel, especially metaphysical and oddities shops. Prior to heading home I looked up the store's hours on Facebook and Google. There was a slight discrepancy (Facebook said they opened at 11am on Sunday and Google said they opened at 12) so I decided to play it safe and aim to be there after 12. I drove about 35 minutes in the opposite direction I would need to go to head home but didn't mind as I had heard amazing things about this shop. I got there about 12:15. There was a light on inside and a sign in the window that said "open come on in". I went to the door and it was locked. I tried it again thinking maybe I just hadn't pulled hard enough, but no. It was definitely locked. I went to their Facebook page to see if they had posted about opening late that day, maybe something unexpected had happened which is understandable but there was no post about not being open nor opening late. I commented on their most recent post as it had been posted only an hour or so before indicating that I was looking forward to seeing the item from the post in person in the store, however it was sadly closed. Whomever runs the Facebook page then deleted my post and then posted an incredibly unprofessional post about how they "updated the store hours now, Karen." (See photo) So apparently I'm a "Karen" for being disappointed and posting about them not being open when there was literally every indication that they would be open. Any business should be able to take both positive and negative feedback to make their business better. I did not yell and scream, I did not "ask for a manager" I simply posted that I was looking forward to seeing an item that I was now unable to see since they were not open. To delete comments of customers and belittle them is ridiculous. The correct response would have been to reach out to me, explain that their hours had changed and they had forgotten to update them and apologize for the inconvenience. That's it. If I had received a message or even a reply to my comment indicating that i would have in turn said no worries, that I would try again the next time I'm in town. Mistakes happen and it's no big deal. The entire interaction was disappointing to say the least. Also, as of this review posting their store hours on Facebook are still incorrect, indicating open 11am-6pm Sundays. (See photo) read more

I have been waiting most of my adult life for a store of this caliber to come to my home city. Although they carry similar (yet not the same) candles and oils that my local yerberias do, this shop specializes in several other areas that are appreciated by those of us who are in the know and "in search of". I love the overall intrigue and absolutely stunning aesthetic of the shop and the unpretentious and humorous way the items are displayed. Zombi carries a vast selection of incenses and resins for beginner to aficionado level. They carry Satya brand tea light candles, of which I have never seen before here in Phoenix. I purchased bakhoor resin here, another hard to find item! They also carry brick dust, soaps and floor washes, prepared candles and oils for ritual work, as well as a beautifully curated selection of crystals and jewelry. The owner clearly knows what this city was in need of. Aside from the in-store experience, I appreciate their updated Instagram (where I initially discovered them). I feel it's important for our community to support this shop as it advocates for the spiritual wellness of ALL. The service was top notch and to say I'm a fan is an understatement. I walked into this store when i saw it had some unique looking artifacts through the window. however, I did not know that it was a voodoo/occult/spiritual store until later. i walked in and immediately got nauseous. two men were having an intense conversation in a different language across the room, but neither looked up to acknowledge me. there was no greeting, and it was so quiet - aside from the two men almost chanting in an odd way on the other side of the room. i tried to walk around, but there were almost tears in my eyes and this immense fear that rose within me. there is heavy demonic activity here, to the point it made me physically ill. i have never had such a violent spiritual reaction to something. there is so much evil in that place, and i truly worry for those that are involved. please be safe and avoid this place unless you want to get drawn into darkness. please. read more

As i was shopping around she told me stories of the shop and how it's grown. She also offers readings which i am definitely coming in for soon.
