Only the children that bowled got food even though the three young children that came who were under the age of three and therefore couldnt bowl were asked to be catered for as well as all children need to eat. We offered to pay for them to be catered, however on the day they were not, there wasn't even a plate or cup supplied to them we had to ask for more and then explain why we wanted more plates and cups!! Additionally each child was only given one party pie and one sausage roll and a small serve of chips, definately not enough food, the kids were complaining because they were hungry, the food came out an hour after the party started and even then we had to ask them when the food was coming out because it took so long!!! There were no party hats or even serviettes provided and we were given heavy china plates to serve up the cake on to children under the age of five. Also whenever I needed a staff member to help us with small things such as supplying more spoons for the cake, it took about five minutes of standing at the counter for them to acknowledge that I was there (most of the time this was when there were no other customers at the counter) I am very disappointed at the service I received and for $18.90 per child I expected it to be a lot better and worth the money. I will never be going back to this bowling centre, nor would I ever recommend it to anyone!!!

Kingpin aims at doing a lot of the things that Strike bowling does (serve drinks, have music, and lights on the lanes) but at the same time it is probably more tailored towards families than Strike. The bowling was fun as I hit a rare 150 (I'm a pretty shitty bowler admittedly). Enjoyable times but the lack of specials they offer means it would be an expensive pastime. I guess it is yet another string in Crown's entertainment bow. If in Crown and you feel like bowling, head to Kingpin. Otherwise, I prefer the Strike experience.
