I don't think the entrance price was unreasonable and if you know you'll be going more than once, you can't beat the season pass.

Their two dog park…read moreareas, which are fenced in, are reasonably large and clean and share a common "owner area" in the middle where we can watch our pets run around. The old Troy and Schenectady Railroad, now a rail-trail, was also pleasant to walk along through the woods. Admittedly, I enjoyed it more for its former railroad history than as an actual paved trail but there enough things to do and see including a large tunnel that went under Route 9 and a dusty cement plant. The water park area is fantastic with lots of spraying pipes and hoses and such in the kiddie spray area. There are several pools too for different swim levels and one had diving boards. Changing rooms with free lockers are provided, and there is a concession stand on one end that sells hamburgers, hot dogs, nachos, and the like. There is one downside though: they ID everyone that comes in. Colonie residents pay $7 each, and non-residents pay $12 each. That is for the day. It isn't a lot of money, and I believe you can purchase season passes to save money. But, on the day we came I didn't think to bring my license and they absolutely wouldn't let me in without some form of ID or proof of address. They asked if I had old mail in my car (nope), a way to check a bill on my [flip] phone (nope), insurance registration (nope), etc. We paid the $5 non-resident premium and moved on. I won't make that mistake again, and as a Colonie resident I sort of appreciate why they are doing it, but it was annoying.

I really love the High Diving board and I wish my girlfriend could go swimming with me!read more

As someone who doesn't like getting caught in the rain (and don't get me started on pina coladas),…read morethe whole concept of spray parks is pretty new to me. But being a new parent, to beat the heat I needed to explore some new options and we have been traveling with our toddler to various nearby spray parks lately. By far, this is the best we have been to. There are a lot of great things going for it. First, it has lots of water spray jets which aim in different directions, put out water at different intensity levels, and randomly (seemingly, at least) go on and off. For a toddler, there are a couple that are fun to play with that aren't too strong to be scary. However, there are also some that are perfect for young teenagers who want to run around and cause mayham. The entire area is surrounded by a security fence, which means your kid can't easily wander off (you are still watching them, aren't you?). Surrounding the area is a pavilion with tables for snack time, a nearby bathroom/changing area, and many shade producing trees. While we were here on a Sunday afternoon, at least 30 kids came and went in about a half-hour. It is a popular place, but everyone shared toys and had fun. Even my wife, who didn't appreciate getting sprayed. (How was I to know?) This place takes the best part of a water park... the spraying water... and puts it in a more approachable scale for little ones. And I haven't even mentioned the rest of the park (with slides, a train, swings, teeter-totter, etc.) that are within seconds from here. And the ice cream place next door... uh oh, there go all of the calories I just burned running from the water!

Amazing to me I hadn't tried this spot for so long, but no regrets now, what an incredible disappointment. More than anything, I was shocked by the lack of options and lack of creativity in those options. There is a giant lazy river, an upstairs treehouse for younger kids and three slides you see from the northway and you will wait an inordinately long time to go down. That's about it, unless you pay for a special area that, honestly, had like one or two other sad looking wave pools anyway. There is one tiny adult-only hot tub that sad adults can cram in for a few uncomfortable kid-free minutes. The quality is poor -- any adult over five feet accompanying their kid in the wave pool will probably leave with scraped knees from the cheap floor. The water is barely kept warm enough. And don't even ask about the cheap plastic food and the surly, possibly meth-addled service it comes with. All this for an absurdly high price in a crowded venue. Might keep your kid entertained for a bit, but even our son got bored quicker than we expected.

It was like being in a winter wonderland. Scheduled activities every hour. Honestly spent more time doing that then water park. We ate at Hurricane Wings & Grill service was good a little slow but doable. NYE we did the arcade, which the kids liked. They had balloons, lights, a DJ, and handed out blowers & noise makers. For midnight they gave everyone sparkling cider before the balloon drop. It did get very packed but that was expected. Will go back with the family again!

Great experience…read more Extra praise to DEMETRIA in the front desk for having a smile on no matter how many questions I asked. Extra praise to BRIDGETTE from the arcade department. We arrived April 2 for our 2 night stay, for my daughter's 16th birthday with two of her friends…read more Our room was not ready until well after five when it was supposed to be ready at four. Their waterpark is only open from 11 AM to 7 PM when basically every other waterpark that I've ever been to is open at least 12 hours a day. When the waterpark is closed, there is nothing else available in this place. Food is almost impossible to come by and if you do, you will wait an incredibly long time. The waterpark is small and crowded. Almost all the restaurants are closed until five if they open at all. Our room which was over $400 a night was not what I expected in the bathroom looked like something that you would see in a prison with the drain in the middle of the floor of the bathroom no designated shower or bath area it's just a shower curtain which had molded all over the bottom of it, over a tile floor. Our garbage had someone else else's tissues in it and our shampoo, conditioner, and body wash were all empty. This made me wonder what we waited till 5 o'clock for because checkout is at 11 and check-in is at four. That's five hours for their staff to clean the rooms. I think that that is enough time if you were properly staffed which they are far from. It was the worst resort waterpark I've ever seen or been to. The manager, sabrina is elusive. I asked for her when Daniel was at the front desk when we were trying to figure out when our room was going to be ready and he couldn't find her and then the next morning I called down and got Sabrina on the phone, but she put me on hold for forcing me to go downstairs and then wait for her yet again. This place is so poorly managed. The only good thing I can say is that the employees were nice. And I think that that says a lot because they're constantly hearing how horrible this place is and they all know it. This was also the most expensive waterpark we've ever been to. Please save your money. This place is an absolute rip off, and you will be sadly disappointed.
