The hours are also extremely inconvenient for anyone who works full time making it impossible to utilize the facilities enough to actually get your moneys worth out of a membership. Opening at 10am and closing at 8pm during the week and at 5pm on the weekends is absurd and extremely inconvenien.

I showered and exfoliated each of the three times I went and each time my tan was inconsistent and blotchy. The first two I did level 2 clear and the last I did level two bronze. The last one had my face so dark and my skin so less tan and blotchy I had to go home and shower it off. It's always clean. The staff is young and helpful and it is getting a little run down now. Don't waste your time coming here during dollar tan week if you've never been here before. I came…read morehere and wanted to take advantage of the dollar tan week promotion that they had going on. When I arrived, I had to be input into the system as a first time client and was asked a bunch of questions regarding my ability to tan, had I ever been tanning, etc. I opted for the level 3 bed and was asked how long I wanted to go for. Being that I have skin that tans very easily, I wanted the maximum time. I was told "company policy" stated new clients were not allowed to tan for the maximum time. Instead I could only tan for 6 minutes. 6 minutes of tanning isn't even worth taking my clothes off. I said OK how about level 2? And was told 7 minutes. Again...not worth my time. I was told that the more I come in, the longer they will let me tan. Thinking I would be able to tan for longer tomorrow I asked if I would be able to do the maximum then and was told no I would only be able to go for 10 minutes. This was really irritating to me and seemed like a bait and switch. They entice you with promotions then when you go there, they try to tell you you can only tan for a short amount of time each day, so that you'll want to come back in throughout the week to be able to tan for longer and spend more money. One of the employees tried to get me to buy lotion which was funny to me. Yea sure..let me lather myself up in lotion for my 7 minute tan... Come to find out, it's not "company policy" as I called another St. Croix location and was told I could have tanned as long as I wanted. So for some reason, the employees here like to make things up and then claim it's company policy. I'm paying to tan, I should be able to tan as long as I want. I had already made the drive out there so I decided to just go with the level 2 - 7 minute tan. The area where the beds are was run down looking and the beds looked old and broken. The doors in each room were cheap.. the doorknob was wobbly and looked like it was about to fall off. I didn't feel comfortable in my room..it felt like a public bathroom stall and the walls were so short that someone probably could have popped their head over and looked into my room. On top of that, I got no cell phone service in the building and was unable to listen to my music while I tanned. As expected, I got no color so I totally wasted my time. Each bed has a jolly rancher placed on it after it gets cleaned, but it's going to take a lot more than a jolly rancher to get me to come back here. I'll stick to total tan.

This St. Croix location has only one booth for spray tanning. There was one attendant on duty. After she gave me a quick run through, she brought me to the room and said that when I was ready all I need do is push the flashing green light. After stripping down and getting into the booth, I pushed the flashing green light - nothing happened. Tried a few more times, again nothing. I noticed a call button on the wall. I tried this several times and got no response. I saw a robe(wrap-around with no tie) and put this on and went out to find the attendant. When told my problem she said that her equipment showed that it went on. She said that she would reset it, but if it did not work, "I don't know what to tell you". I asked her about the call button and she said "truthfully it doesn't work". I went back and the booth worked to some extent. It went through the first "pass through" and then instructed me to push the flashing green button for the second pass through. Again, nothing. Frustrated, I now got dressed and sought out the attendant. She said, "oh,that's just moisturizer, you got the tan". I said that wasn't satisfactory and how did I know what I got. She tried the machine a few times and said, "you're right. It doesn't seem to work". After fiddling with it for a while, she got it to work. She then said -"it looks like you have to cover the whole button with your hand". Now, how would anyone know this when the instructions said "Push lightly - once." When I said I did not want to get all undressed again, the attendant shrugged her shoulders and said "Sorry about that". From my one experience with this establishment, I am led to believe that the equipment is not maintained and the staff is ill equipped to handle corrections or customer relations. Don't go there.
