I love zoom tan , everyone who works there is very friendly! Been going since they first opened !!

I cancelled back in October of 2025 because of a death that took a huge toll on me. I decided at the end of February I would go back. Two weeks later they tried charging my card. ( I always put it on a prepaid card because it's online) I hadn't loaded it yet so it declined. They refused me service after 2 weeks saying I started my account on the 16th I told them I started on the 24th and the woman I spoke to on the phone was so rude to me she hung up. I had to email them. Requesting to have a manager call me or to simply cancel my membership. Well about 10 emails later I've yet to receive a phone call from anyone apologizing for the rudeness of the employee, not even in the emails was it ever addressed. They came up with a fake contract saying I electronically signed it and never cancelled my membership back in 2025 therefore they had the wrong information on the fake contract. Once I told them about a lawyer being involved I never heard another word from them again and they got to keep $59.00 for my 3 whole tans that came out orange looking. Terrible service. Terrible place. Never going back. I used to love this place and recommended it to everyone. Now I wouldn't bring my dog there for a cleaning. They will rip you off and make up excuses. The vibe is horrible and the place was always dirty when I walked in. Who ever took it over shame on you! Bring back the good people that actually cared about what people wanted Instead of how much money you can line your pockets with. This place will be shut down in no time if it keeps going like this. read more

Always a quick in and out, friendly staff, clean location. They always try to upsell me on lotions and such, but it's never crazy pushy; I've been on the other end of it, so I know that they have to ask. Never had a bad experience in my 3ish years of coming here. read more

Pros: Nice girls up front. Clean place. Cons: Charge more and extra for basics I've been provided as included in the price at other salons like the stick on feet pads. Given a hair net and barrier cream and 1 sheet of paper towel... but no baby wipes or actual towel to fully dry off with. Small stool and one hook only to place personal belongings. When my cousin took too long to get ready to spray her session expired and took a good 15 minutes or more to call IT and get the session reset. Really a detriment to not have employees able to reset the booths themselves and keep customers waiting. read more

DO NOT GO HERE. Awful, Awful, Awful. I wish I could give less than one star. In short, the CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS WRONG at Zoom Tan. This was my first time at Zoom Tan, but I'm not new to spray tanning. I was hesitant because I know the only problem with spray tanning is imprecision and streaking in places like your hands. So I asked the person at the front desk when I came in, if I had a problem, if they could fix it. He said, "of course, our manager would be happy to fix it." So I took the plunge. The next morning I had awful streaking. I called the 1800 customer service number, and they told me to go in and again, they'd be happy to give me a refund. Then, I went in, and the person at the front desk refused to give me a refund. Not only that, but she was condescending, insinuating it is my fault. Then, she called some number, did some whispering to them, and proclaimed they would not give me a refund. She was secretive, and obviously talked about me in whispers to whomever was on the phone. I said I wanted to talk to whomever she was on the phone with about me, and she said I was not allowed to touch their phone. So weird. So I called customer service in the store again. Then, I spoke with the "Supervisor of all locations" on the phone,who then left me on hold for 8:00 minutes, apparently having a discussion with the "Director of Operations". Then, even though it went this far up in the company, all they offered me was a coupon on future low quality service because they decided it was my fault and would not refund me. They made this decision with: A) no evidence and B) didn't care at all about how upset I was. I told them I would write this review on Yelp, and they could also care less and then accused me of threatening them. I explained to them that IT IS OUR RIGHT AS CONSUMERS TO USE THIS TO COMMUNICATE ABOUT AWFUL EXPERIENCE. I almost never write on this, only when I really feel others should know not waste their tiem and money. In short - the customer service is beyond awful and the product is low quality. And it's shocking for a large company like this. I teach business, and the $20 they are saving by not refunding me is losing them hundreds in future revenue from me. Unless of course, they don't believe in their product enough that happy customers would come back. Try Miel Beauty Bar instead- I have gone there, and whenever there is a problem they are happy to help. read more

IWARNING.... DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM ZOOMTAN!!!!! I have been a regular customer with a YEARLY membership. I bought many bottles of tanning lotions from them in the past and never had a problem. I went in today and bought a new lotion from them. I went into the tanning booth and applied the new lotion ... and my face and body were on fire immediately. On FIRE! I was naked, but threw on my coat and ran to the restroom to wash this new lotion off. I immediately went to the front desk and reported my medical condition. They called headquarters and they are refusing to do anything about it. I was just asking for any kind of store credit since there is something wrong with this lotion. They said maybe I changed my diet or used new body products, but that it's not their product. I haven't. I use all Lancome products and have for decades. I called headquarters twice and they basically said you bought it so you eat it no matter the reactive medical problem. They refused to allow me to speak to a supervisor. They said that because the lotion is regularly $139 and I only paid $42 I have no rights to ask for a return. They refused me further action and hung up on me. UNBELIEVABLE. That's what they think of their loyal clients. read more

My friend and I were getting spray tans for our first time ever and our friend recommended zoom tan in ithaca. When we get there the employee that "helped" us, her name was Ashley was very rude from the beginning. She had a snobby attitude like we weren't good enough to be there and when we asked what to do when we got in the room because we had no clue because it was our first time she just rolled her eyes and shrugged her shoulders and said you'll figure it out when you get in there and then she said the room name rudely and didn't say anything else. So when we got in there, of course it said out loud what to do but we couldn't hear it that well and it messed up our 30$ spray tan. Our friend that suggested we go there said that the employees told you what to do before you even got in there. And now our spray tans don't look good and we want a refund or atleast another free spray tan with an employee telling us what we need to do before we go in there. I hope we don't have to deal with Ashley again. read more

I love coming here to tan. The only issue Is the long lines and waiting lists but this being the only tanning salon in Ithaca it is understandable. Would it be possible to start maybe scheduling call a heads?Other then that the staff is really personable (Especially Sam) and they remember my name every time I come in, the beds are clean and the service is impeccable. read more

Beware!!! They get you for a monthly fee which you cannot get out of. You go in person they tell you to send a letter, you send a letter they ignore it. I got billed 3 times in 1 month, error I guess. Stay away you will be paying for life. read more

The tanning facility is good but there is one person at front desk that is such an unfriendly person. The place could be much better if she could be friendly and welcoming versus aloof and unfriendly. She needs a lesson in customer service.
